Nice quick sound review. I realize that flex cuts and alu plates don't go well if there is no foam. My favorite config is MX black/brown with alu plate and no foam as well. But I haven't heard of any good sound tests on QK boards with alu plate and no foam. Good thing they'll release a no-flex cut pcb for the QK80!
These looks great, even though I'm personally a 65/75/TKL fan, I still kinda wished I got on this one. However since the QK65 did a R2 version, I figured it was safe to wait for the next round of this one too. I just saw the IC for the QK75 and while I do like the PCB mount setup, the design/layout aren't my favorite (not a fan of badges or rotary knobs and the typing angel is too aggressive) but it's still a -very- good price point too so I can't fault it too much. For Qwertykeys lineup though, I think the QK60 is the best looking design and I'd want it just for that - cheers!
when you rapidly press backspace or enter do you feel vibrations through the board on your other hand? I just got it and realized this when I spam backspace LOL. Built it with plate foam only and tried both a alu and pom plate with the same result. I originally didnt add the stab pads and then put them in to see if that was the issue but no... I thought POM would lessen the vibrations too, but I still feel that vibration which is kind of annoying tbh.
Yup! But this is most likely an intended effect- I’ve only really gotten this with higher end boards with softer plates and certain mounting styles. POM is only gonna increase your chances. But regardless this is kind of a result of the mounting style really.
@@AnzelLmao oh man I didn’t realize it was from the mounting style. I have the qk65 and compared the vibrations and it’s just amplified so much more. Not expected at all. I was asking others about this in QK discord and they say they don’t feel ANY vibrations so it was concerning tbh. The rest of the board feels great. Wonder if there is anything I can do to dampen that vibration

I have my QK60 coming in a few days and I had already ordered the coley switches just for it. Nice to get to hear what they sound like together.
