Best test of all the tests I've seen so far. I really like the case foam + plate foam combo. And surprisingly the new pe foam doesn't sound generic like every pe foam sounds out there. It sounds pretty great with the pe foam as well.

Really glad to hear the typing feel is a little softer than the 65, seems like that was the main criticism of that board, and what would have probably held me back from purchasing it. Here’s to hoping they can keep running these at a good clip to keep up with demand!

I recently bought a cheap Freebird60 in the market just to try out if I'm gonna like a 60% board. It feels like a keeper, and I think I'm gonna get a QK60 (also copped a Zoom65 EE in R2 after watching one of your vids, fck me). Great content, BTW. You should have a ton of subscribers based on the quality of the content alone. Keep it up, and they will eventually come. 👌

I would say yes, but you wouldn’t really feel this while typing with full foams. If you remove some of that you might. I’d say go with another material if you like flex!

It doesn’t come with switches. I used gateron oil kings. I know long pole switches are all the rage, but Andy Nguyen kinda pointed out they hide hollowness. I wanted to test that so went with stock oil kings!
For sound measurements it might be a good idea to get multiple tests (exhausting) or use a reproduceable input method (complicated). Simply put, typing at the same speed and intensity to produce useful graphs is not humanly reproduceable. Crin's video doesn't mention this but anyone who works with audio would immediately see how the measurements in the mecha video don't amount to much.
Yeah I agree with you. These measurements were done only with home row to try and get consistency. I did use multiple tests and used the average. Approximately 20 per keyboard. These were for sure amateur at best, but coincided with what I heard in the real world. I felt like it'll do for the purposes of explaining keyboard sounds lmao. There is just so many variables to account for like how far you are and stuff.
