I was just there over the summer. After 10 years living and travelling round Asia, I think Sabah Province might just be my favourite place. looking forward to the rest of the series
Looking forward to watching this series , I have never been and don’t really know much about Borneo so I’m super excited about this series…. 😊 and getting to know about there culture and it’s people and adventures.
So nice to see you in Southeast Asia again! We are currently traveling around in Peninsular Malaysia and heard many amazing things about Sabah and it is on our future itinerary when we return to Malaysia. I can relate to the feeling of the excitement and freedom of departing on your two wheel journey. Made a roadtrip a few weeks ago in the unknown provinces of Northern Thailand, will upload in a few months but grateful for your early content to educate ourselves a bit. Love what you do Paddy and a true inspiration to us as early/small time travel content creators. Keep it up and enjoy your journey, be safe and remember.. For every single one you finish there is another one waiting for you!
Great to see that you're already excited about sabah too! Hope you have been having a fabulously memorable time around _semenanjung malaysia_ and yes, you should visit the 2 east malaysian states of sabah and sarawak as well. Mind telling us which city you're from? I had a few wonderful hikes around england across some fields where sheeps intently grazed, I termed my hikes sheeps therapy hahah
Paddy, I am so glad to see you back on a motorbike. This looks like a true Next Level Adventure. While you were eating that Rock Lobster I kept hearing the B52 song playing in my head. Safe travels. I can't wait for the next episode.
Finally back in asia. Great. As an European, I was not so much interested in Switzerland and Italy. Love, that you choose Borneo. Still on my todo list.
I think Italy and Switzerland were OK. I like to see places in europe although I may not be able to afford a trip there. Paddy's vlogs are mostly in SEA where I live. But since he is showing my country now, I just tagged along to see where he went.
As a malaysian, I love switzerland for their beautiful mountains and countryside, and ofc for their next level rivers/lakes, the water is clearly unparalleled! But the downside is the cost of basically every single thing, it's scary! 😭
If you get a chance to go to Kuching, the people are so friendly and kind. This is where I fell in love with Borneo. Borneo will always hold a special place in my heart
At 72 I just sold my Harley-Davidson and bought a 2021 Honda CT125 Trail. Actually, I traded my Harley and got the little Honda in the trade along with some cash. My miniature Schnauzer LOVES riding on the Trail so my plans of selling it may be changing.‘I’m looking forward to following along with you as we both get to know our little Hondas and your trips. I’m in America in Mississippi!
Thank you paddy for all you awesome photography...videos an your presentation of all things done..seen..its no wonder why your the top dog in all bloggers across the universe..your passion for good people..good food an travel experience is # 1 ...i know the only way for lots of us to see the world is thro you...thank you for your professional attitude...caring demeanor an love of what you do...take care always!!!---
You have inspired me to travel for the first time in my life!! I love your channel, your videos are very tranquil and dreamy, so easy to get lost in them.
Great to see you on one of my very fav. places on Earth, yes, it is Borneo ! Your motobike will be your lovely strong company - thats the best to see you traveling freely wherever you want.... Fantastic video Paddy, i am excited with your new next level adventure ! 💝🙌👍
I did Borneo about 18 years ago for 15 days. Hope it's improved. All I saw was palm oil plantations for hours. Plus beaches looked nice in tourist areas but go around the corner and rubbish everywhere. People are great though.
As a local, I too am saddened by sea trash from water villages. No waste management, occupied by stateless refugees and sea gypsies. And the plantations are still there. Unless those greedy plantation companies return back land to replant the forest. We used to export logs to 1st world countries but had stopped. We use rubber trees for furnitures. Indonesia also suffered due to palm oil plantations. I wish the French and British newer introduced palm oil and rubber here.
That seaweed is called sea grapes! Nice selection! Glad your back in SE Asia. Try to see the man of the forest (Orangutan) Orang =man, Hutan=forest. The baby ones are cute and will give you hugs. The big males will probably turn you into Hamburger! Have fun
Hi Paddy! Careful with the road trip with bike because the roads are not that great here. But enjoy your time while in Sabah, there are a lot to explore here.
Both have their pros and cons. As a malaysian myself, I had a great time traveling to some europe countries which I luckily had the opportunity to visit within the past 1 year or so
Hi Paddy, Thank you for all your Vlogs. I have been to many of the places you have and did Borneo lats year but only done KK and a boat trip to see the proboscis monkeys and the tribes. Looking forward to this series as I do all the others.
Been looking forward to the Borneo series. I have always wanted to go there. You Can't go wrong with Red Snapper Paddy. Great to see you back on a motorcycle!!! Great video Like Always.
Holy cow 😳 I got to put Borneo in my Bucket list! Me and my honey will be in the Philippines, Thailand, and Japan for a month starting Oct. 9- we're both very, very excited!!🤗🤗
Good memories!! 🤩 I was there in May, really loved Bornéo! I think you also climbed Kinabalu? Hope you had great weather, can't wait to see that video! That mountain was so epic!! 🤩🤗
Great to see you back in Asia. I had to laugh though when you had collected an entire basket of seafood, all I could think of is what you said the first time you went to Khao Sok "when I'm presented with loads of food, like too much food, it makes me not hungry" Seems like you must have been hungry though and the dishes looked great!
This was very well put together. Really loved the food choices. Just the kinds of food we eat in other places so great comparisons at least! Looks like a great culture there’s didn’t know what to expect. Very modern so far. The street scene is great!
Hiya Paddy. Sucks about your bag. At least you got it finally. Love your banter. Britney is perfect. Baby Shun was having it. The food looked so good. Lots of food. Bet you slept that night. Seaweed. At least you tried it. Nice to meet a subscriber. Would be great to see Dreamy. Great tunes. Good vibes. Great video. I can not wait for the next one. Happy Weekend.
Welcome Paddy! Finally you are in Malaysia. You were so close when u went to Betong last time. Don’t worry, Malaysians will treat you well. Just roam like u usually do 💪🏼
Gday Paddy . I travelled with my then English girlfriend through south east asia for near on 6 months back in the day 1999 it was. Amazing travels when a lot of the places only just becoming touristy , if thats a word. Why i find your travels n you tubing quality is ive visited a lot of these places n some i have not so yeah i really enjoy your travels n content.. Keep on keeping on and enjoy... Safe travels Paddy.
Gary is rubbing off on you, mate! Getting much bolder in your exploration of food over the years. Reminded me a bit of the time you ate the dancing shrimp, only much less frightening....
Nice one, just got back from South East Asia, followed your videos and you inspired me to go so many places. Thakek loop, Nong Kiew, Pakse loop, Ha Giang loop, Phayao, Mae Sai, Kanchanaburi.... Moterbiking is the only way to properly experience a country. Enjoy this adventure
Paddy you mentioned that you might go scuba diving while in Borneo. There is excellent diving there. If you do go diving try to day trip at least once out to Sipidan Island. Probably the best locally for biodiversity
Looking forward to your adventure in my home state. The reason you are seeing lots of Malaysian and Sabah flags is that 16th September 1963 was the day Sabah joined Malaya (West Malaysia) to form Malaysia. So 31th August is the national Malaysia Day. In Sabah, we celebrate 16th Sept as well as 31st August. BTW not too sure when Sarawak joined though. 😅
I know it's after the fact but hopefully you tried KK's famous Roti Cobra 😁 We actually really liked KK and could easily spend some time living there. Once you leave KK the rest of Sabah is surprisingly slim picking when it comes to Indian food (with the exception of Sandakan). Fun to watch you as always Paddy, but you're looking a bit weary to be honest.
Oops as a malaysian myself, this is the 1st time ever that I have heard of roti cobra hahah! Glad to know that you survived whatever venom it had and live to tell us about it lol
After a summer of European content, it’s great to be back in SE Asia 🙏
I'm glad you have seen the light again.... Europe is way over rated and expensive nowadays for what it has to offer😢
It's great to see you back in SE Asia! Pumped for the series.
looking forward to your new trip through Asia
Paddy buddy keep on moving forwards on those 2 wheels
I noticed your scar ? Is it new ? I hope not the result of a 2 wheeled accident in BK ?
Wahooo!!!
Good to finally see you in Malaysia 💪🇲🇾 One of my favorite countries! When you ordered all the seafood, I was like "NO WAY" he can eat all this 😂
haha cheers mate, yeah I somehow ate it all
@@PaddyDoyle. how much did it cost?
@@Jagutt2he will give a summary end of the series (usually).
Ken can eat seafood now i suppose😆😆😆

Looking forward to this series. I’ve been to Malaysia about 25 times, but always on the mainland peninsula.
25 times is a lot
@@keangwooichoo6138 I know! My wife is a flight attendant and she’s from Malaysia. Doesn’t cost much to fly there for us.

The lobster sauce is actually butter + condensed milk + garlic. Very popular choice of sauce for seafood in Malaysia.
I fly back to (Peninsula) Malaysia this Monday. I cannot wait. Will be on Borneo in December. Good times.

Borneo is not a country. It is the name of an island. As explained by paddy.
What a feast! Discovering new foods is undoubtedly a key part of next level adventures. Too bad you had to eat it alone!
