Han Chinese ppl had lived in that region since the time of Christ, Han dynasty. Urigurs were actually migrants from Central Asia who moved here in the 1700s. They only constitute 45% of the population.
Uyghur is a mixed ethnicity that formed during Tibetan rule of the region around 900~1000AD. The Tibetan ruling class were ruthless so the Tocharians, Han, Tuckics and even Tibetan peasants banded together to resist the inhumane treatment from the Tibetan nobilities. So it would be incorrect to call them immigrants as they have ancestries pre-date the formation of their ethnicity. It’s less the ethnicity moved there after Han dynasty but Islam moved there during the few centuries where China didn’t rule the region.
@@rickfeng4466 You are wrong. There was no Islam in Xinjiang before the Tang Dynasty. In 60 BC, the Han Dynasty defeated the Xiongnu Empire and the remnants of the Xiongnu fled westward. The Han people officially ruled Xinjiang and the rule lasted until the Tang Dynasty. The Tang Dynasty not only ruled Xinjiang, but also ruled today's Kazakhstan and other Central Asian regions. In 751 AD, the Tang Dynasty went to war with the Arab Empire in Hajj, Kazakhstan. The Tang army was defeated and Islam began to enter China. Before the Tang Dynasty, the Han people ruled Xinjiang. Soon after the war between the Tang Dynasty and the Arab Empire, both empires began to split and weaken. In 763 AD, the Anshi Rebellion broke out in the Tang Dynasty and lost control of Xinjiang. A thousand years later, the Qing Dynasty ruled Xinjiang. Later, the Han people overthrew the Manchu rule, established the Republic of China and today's People's Republic of China, and continued to manage Xinjiang.

1/6 of China's land area.
1/6 of China, not 1/16. There are 49 different ethnic groups living in Xinjiang now.
I went to xinjiang this June, the place is exactly like Swiss, so beautiful! Try to go there in June guys!
Great video reference for my trip coming december
12月新疆就很冷了,一定要看看天气预报
£1 for a pint of beer! Oh no, the British will be flocking over to Xinjiang 😂
Ok joking aside, right at the beginning the video, you have already debunked the Western narrative of Chinese government getting rid of Uyghur native language. Their language are displayed everywhere!
Yes the Brits live £1 a paint hahaha
they re not get rid of their culture, they re get rid of islamic teachings. the placed used to be like malaysia or any other moslem country. you wont find any beer available on the street back on those days. question to mr. hutchinson @TheHutchinsons , have you heard any adzan while you were there? can you enter the mosque in this video? (you dont have to answer if you think is not safe to answer)
@@inondesia1543 have you been there? u sounds like an expert lmao
@@inondesia1543 your so called adzan should be banned, it's a noise to others!
Our currency also have many languages, including Uguar language
It's paradise compared to most American cities

So devoloped muslim state .👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽❤❤❤
WOW this is my home province.❤
Guys, not all Uyghers are muslims, many of them have no religion believes. Even those who are Muslims, they are quite secular compare to the Hui people(100% muslims) living in Han China propers actually. Also Xinjing is not exclusive to the Muslims or Uyghers, there are many other major ethnic groups as well. Mongols, Kazhak, Taijiks, Kirgiz, Hui, Xibe, Manchurians, Han...etc.
the uyghers were killing hu muslims during the 2009 riot too, not only they are terrorists but also racists
hui muslims
@@user-ki1bk5fi8b Hui in the Chinese ethnic context literally means "Muslim"
@@rubbishfx yes this is a huge thing most propagandized westerners don’t seem to understand. They wring their hands over Xinjiang because they think all Muslims are alike. They don’t and never did understand culture in the region. Meanwhile, they gleefully watch as their countries commit genocide in Palestine.
In Xi'An, my wife's hometown, there are lots of Muslim people living there as well. They work hard to run their small business. They are honest and happy. China is actually one of the most multicultural countries in the world. And diversity and coexit is our significant core value.
Wonderful & Amazing Muslims in China 🇨🇳 💚

Are you guys planning on visiting Kashkar? It’s much more scenic and visitor friendly.
Much respect to you two as parents who are opening their children’s minds and eyes to the truth about the world & different cultures, instead of relying on mainstream media to teach them about it. And thanks a lot for showing us the truth about an area that we thought was too dangerous to visit. Lots of love & respect ❤
Lots of love to every Chinese people ❤
I love China so muchhhhh 😭✨

Here in the US those copper tea pots will be gone overnight 😮
Great video !!! Thank you for showing the real Xingjiang to the world.
在没有水电燃气之前, 这是真正的苦寒之地. 不管什么族, 住这都不容易
Oh my I’m so proud of my country enjoy your time there guys
Samsa or cao baozi are lamb & more than likely with lots of black pepper!!
