    Clarification No. 1
Is this the Definitive RX-78-2 MG?? NO... BUT when it comes to Articulation, this Model Kit beats the MG OYW, MG 2.0, and MG 3.0 therefore making this kit the NO. 1 BEST when it comes to Articulation. (but this is not the definitive MG)
    Clarification No. 2
The Metal Composite Origin Gundam exists, and it has all the Design Options of the Origin Gundam, SURE the Metal Composite doesn't look 100% MANGA Accurate but like i said, it has all the Features of the Origin Gundam.....So my Issue is, why don't Bandai just recreate the Metal Composite but more affordable in Master Grade form?
This is the OVA version YES, this is not 100% Manga Accurate sooo why not just take the Armor Parts from the "also not 100% Manga Accurate Metal Figure" and include it here.
I dunno what the hell Bandai is smoking these days #effectparts

I like your review commentary and style. The origin MG is a fabulous kit indeed, as it is its smaller “cousin”, the 1/144 scale Origin RX-78-2. Keep up the good videos!

Although I do think the 3.0 is the definitive version, I personally love the Origin model. Built it four times since its original release, and had a blast all four times

Great review! Systematic and clear. Thanks. Been eyeing this kit because of the added articulation. All my MG 78s have the core fighter.

I've only built a few HG kits and I doubt I'll build that many but I do love a good gunpla review, even if I won't buy the kit. I love the old designs.

excellent video, regarding the painting, you say that you only painted the elbow and knee joints, but for the elbow you can see the metal joint (which metallic color did you use?) while for the knee I don't notice it.

It’s funny people hype up the abdomen motion but it really isn’t any better than the O.Y.W. Version from 2005 😅 the entry grade RX-78-2 has much better motion

Curious what you think would be better this one or the one year war version? I want a grand daddy Gundam but I am leaning towards the more mechanical look rather than the 2.0 anime version

Personally i would say the Origin Gundam (not just because of the Articulation and Accessories)
But because the Aesthetics is a Perfect balance between Classic and Modern.
The Proportions feels more Modern, and it has a respectable amount of Panel Lines which to me it feels more Classic Retro.
But hey in the end of the day
      this is just my opinion.
I still think the MG One Year War looks great especially in the Proportions Department, and if you want something more Realistic Mechanical looking then i recommend the One Year War Verison to you.
(Plus the Articulation still holds up)
Check out "Citrus" Channel, he reviewed the MG One Year War.
      PS.
The MG 3.0 is not as bad as you think...
Maybe check that one out too.

Excellent kit but the hands are absolutely garbage. Too delicate and too articulated to function properly. Does anyone know of a good replacement for them?

      2.0 hands lol
No really Bandai makes 1/100 scale EFSF hands that are fixed pose

these are the worst hands and I'm glad Bandai moved away from them
