The RGM-79 GM Master Grade version 2.0 is from the original anime series
Moblie Suit Gundam 1979.
I LOVE THIS KIT, and that's all you need from me...BUY IT!!
The Master Grade 2.0 line of Gunpla kits is more Anime Accurate compared to it's counterparts (Origin Version, MG 1.0 Version and etc.)
While yes on the surface level it's not 100% Anime Accurate, but it's close enough and personally i think BANDAI did their best to capture the FEEL of the 1970s RETRO Robot Designs.
This kit has everything you asked from a GM Master Grade, all the weapons, the articulation, the aesthetics, and of course the build are all GREAT, especially the price, for ¥3,780 it's totally worth it.

The Master Grade RX-78-02 Origin Gundam is from the "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" Manga and Ova. I LOVE this Model Kit despite it's issues, and i highly RECOMMEND IT!!! Personal Notes - I feel like my paint job could've been a lot better, by doing more COLOR SEPERATION and METALLICS. - Also my Custom LEDs were very weak, and i feel very disappointed at myself. - My Camera work was downgraded...

Scary Game with my crew. i currently love this game because it's not as Scary as other games, it's more Spooky than Scary. I really like the Ghost Hunting aspect of it, it's really FUN, especially with friends who doesn't know how to play. excellent video, regarding the painting, you say that you only painted the elbow and knee joints, but for the elbow you can see the metal joint (which metallic color did you use?) while for the knee I don't notice it.

Does it use screws like the old mgs? My experience with the gouf custom build was horrible😅😅
As far as i remember...No, the kit doesn't have any screws. Although keep in mind, i built this back in 2022, so i don't remember much from this kit (my apologies) but if there were screws, it's probably in the Calves Inner Frame. The screws should not be your problem, it should be the 6 Springs for the tubes. Why?? Because the Springs are literally there just for cosmetic detail purposes. They don't help with securing the tubes to the shaft, and i literally had to use super glue on the tip of the shaft to prevent the Tubes and Spring from sliding off. PS. i apologize for my unnecessary rant.

Curious what you think would be better this one or the one year war version? I want a grand daddy Gundam but I am leaning towards the more mechanical look rather than the 2.0 anime version
Personally i would say the Origin Gundam (not just because of the Articulation and Accessories) But because the Aesthetics is a Perfect balance between Classic and Modern. The Proportions feels more Modern, and it has a respectable amount of Panel Lines which to me it feels more Classic Retro. But hey in the end of the day this is just my opinion. I still think the MG One Year War looks great especially in the Proportions Department, and if you want something more Realistic Mechanical looking then i recommend the One Year War Verison to you. (Plus the Articulation still holds up) Check out "Citrus" Channel, he reviewed the MG One Year War. PS. The MG 3.0 is not as bad as you think... Maybe check that one out too.

I love the kit and I have the same complaint as you which is the white parts are bluish white out of the box rather than clean white. I have 0% artistic talent so I can't paint. So what I did was make my GM a patchwork of colors using leftover armor parts from other GM-type kits. Like the GM [WD] had leftover black parts, the GM Sniper Custom had leftover green parts, and the GMII had leftover pure white parts. So I slapped these different color armor parts haphazardly to make my GM have a field repaired look. haha Anyway, love your vid and review style. Keep up the good work!

It’s funny people hype up the abdomen motion but it really isn’t any better than the O.Y.W. Version from 2005 😅 the entry grade RX-78-2 has much better motion
