Great video! I am trading in my 2022 Ducati Monster and taking delivery of this bike next week, comp edition and all =D. I was able to test ride an M1000R and found out that I too needed risers. I also bought the Wunderlich seat for it since the stock seat is waaaay too hard. This truly is a dream bike, one that I hope I will keep in my collection for many many years.

Those risers look great. They look stock. NICE! About headers, hard to just offer advice. I am a massive fan of SC-Projects slip-on exhausts either way. If you do a header and exhaust - wow, it is going to be expensive. Either way - after you do the exhaust (just the slip-on or both headers and exhaust) I'd suggest Bren-Tuning - they have amazing high-quality tunes. I have their tune on my bike, and geez - night and day. I can not recommend them highly enough.
Thanks Scott, I'm very happy with how they turned out. I LOVE the SC Project slip on I put on my KTM. I think I'm going to go that route with the M1000r. I contacted BrenTune, (who I've used before), and for a fee, they will "unmarry" my control unit so I can use it on the M. 😁
Hi Great video and content I too have the same bike as you and have also fitted bar risers as getting older What cables did you replace? Was it just the clutch cable? As the left side switch plug cables are a little tight If you or any one can help to,point me to a more comfy seat that would be great as after an hour I’m getting saddle sore that’s the only bit I hate with the bike the hard seat Thanks
I’m pretty sure it was the clutch cable. They ordered a cable for a BMW XR. I agree with you on the stock seat comfort so I bought a Wunderlich seat. Much better!! It is a little taller though. Before, I was able to flat foot, now I’m on the balls of my feet. 5’9” gal 😁. Very happy with this seat.
Thanks for your reply and would make sense a longer clutch cable is needed but saying that my bar risers are 35mm rise and 15mm offset (towards you) and stock clutch cable seem fine I’m 5ft 6in and just get away on top toe so sadly the seat would make me struggle would of been a great idea though Keep up the great content and thanks again
You buy a hypersports naked and make it a chopper??? Sorry Ma'am, but that is borderline cartoonish till shocking. Ye, race1 is great... love the quick action throttle and the decel pops are nice, after the throttle the most important thing for comfort on this bike. Get her on a track, the shiftcam will come at like 9k amd then she goes till 13.5... she wants to scream, gosh that's not a chopper. And no please no ghetto-mods anymore... ;D
Don't be so SHOCKED! I also put my bars up in cycle class at the gym 😂🤣 It's not a "ghetto-mod" Ron, just 2" of comfort. When you turn 66, let me know what bikes you are riding! 😅😆🤪💪
@@AmenCornerRider yep, lazy dad with belly would exactly do that mod cos his fingers are tingling from the awkward vibes he gets through the bars. Too much weight on the bars. You have been Coach and an athlete... so you know what causes that... a weak core, weak quads and further more a weak gluteus. It is nothing about age, but that dad rides the wrong kinda bike!
