While using my computer on weekdays I take a 1 hour break twice during the day. I started doing that two years ago. I used to spend a full 9+ hours a day on my computer without taking a break and my eyesight started suffering with my distance vision shot. I no longer use my computer up to 11pm at night either. I shut it off at 5pm. Since I started taking two one hour breaks a day my vision has very slowly started getting better. I have a lazy left eye and my last eye test eight months ago the optician was baffled as to why I started seeing more with my left eye. Also instead of using my computer seven days a week I take a two day break on Friday and Saturday. They say when the damage is done it will never heal but my vision is very slowly healing. Try to take breaks. Give the screen a break more than once a day and you won't regret it.
can i ask you something. I asked an ophthalmologist and he told me that myopia wont improve, I can only slow it down, but I cannot improve my vision. Is this true?
@@Steve30xbut in your comment you mentioned about eyesight test. Did you mean you improved vision by reducing diopters or just got rid of some symptoms...?
Yep, sudden vision difficulties and noticeable eye shape changes and the mainstream medical advice I got was, “well, over 30, can’t do anything about Presbyopic issues in “middle age”.” Me- Middle age? I bet Dr. Berg has things to do that help just like he did for my other health issues my doctor blamed being nearly 30 as the issues a few years ago. Those issues are gone by the way. Dr. Berg hit the nail on the head again. I started reading a lot online (14 hours a day with cell to study) in a dark house with my phone light full blast and I have not been getting out of the house and going for walks and if I do it’s with my phone. I also used to get more veggies and eggs in my diet. I pray God helps me reverse what I did to myself. 😔
Great info Dr. Berg. I just spent 3 months being treated for extreme dry eye and irritated corneas with blurred vision. I was on steroid eyedrops for a month, then moisturizing drops. I will be using the moisturizing drops for life, all due to computer use. If your eyes won't quit tearing up, don't ignore it like I did. Take eye breaks.
This video is an "eye opener" to me. Astonished that even this watching at the computer also influence cortisol. Dr Berg his videos have already changed the way I look at food, movement, etc...and now this. Thank you for sharing so much knowledge so clearly explained.
Thank you for the info Dr. Berg, my doctor told me to wear sunglasses the moment I go out because of my cataracts. You have more knowledge than many doctors.
I've been wearing blue light lense glasses for screens, for about 6 months now. 👓 l used to get headaches all the time, not any more. Great information, thanks for sharing. & Take care. ❤🙂🐶
@Katie H They were from Amazon, only £5. They haven't got UV protection though, just for screen reading really. Ebay sells them too, all different strength lenses. Hope that helped. Take care. ❤🙂🐶
Dr Berg, Something to note please. It also exacerbates lazy eye, which I have. One other thing that I find that helps is every 10 to 15 minutes look up and away from the screen. Focus on a smallish object across the room. Try to focus for at least 2 minutes and then return to the computer or whatever. It helps...It really helps.
Thank you Dr. Berg! This issue is not addressed enough. While doing close computer work on an excel sheet (looking down at paper and then computer) my left eye developed bad floaters when I turned to look at someone. They cleared up somewhat, but my vision is like looking through a cloudy lens. It will clear and then get cloudy again. I went to a specialist who said to give it 3 months to clear. It is definitely from the computer and I had my employer take out the LED light that was directly over my desk causing intense glare from the computer screen. I wish there were more doctors addressing this issue.
Hi how is your, cloudy vision now? I am facing floaters in my left and cloudy for a long distance a little bit, like surfaces are all smooth of buildings and trees. What helped you come out of it. How many months did it take.
And for those out there who suffer from benign PVC's as I do, lay off the computer or iPad for awhile during the day, I noticed my PVC's got worse with iPad use.
Thank you Dr Berg for the advice ! Did you notice that nowadays more and more children tend to wear glasses at an earlier age than in the past. Ophthalmologists believe it is due to a lack of daily exposure to direct sunlight ... just as you mentioned it ! Before , kids used to play a lot outside and unfortunately they are now stuck to their Play Stations and electronic devices.

Many, like treating cancer with whole body poison and high intensity radiation, which causes cancer. Or treating simple bacterial infections with broad spectrum antibiotics, which also permanently wreck your gut microbiome, which wrecks your immune system. Heck, we still can't fix dangerously high iron levels without using the modern equivelent of blood letting.

Love Dr. Berg, he does It again! I was getting headaches so bad and I would close my eyes they would twitch! New glasses, anti glare and specific to the distance and they went away. Lots of eye drops as well. Thank you Doctor!
One note about "floaters" since I have had that condition a few times: I had experienced this for about a month and saw my eye doc, who basically dismissed it. He said it wasn't anything to be concerned about. A few weeks later the floaters vanished. So, in my case the condition was transient.
