    I own two bifuel vehicles, my truck is a 2011 Chevy 2500 HD and I will never own another gasoline alone powered car. Gasoline in my area is running $2.69 a gallon and cng is $1.40 a gallon. I researched for two years before buying my first bifuel car and I found they are more economical, better for the environment, and safer than gasoline powered cars. People need to keep in mind your gas tank is made of plastic and if you should get in an accident your gas tank is much easier to rupture than a cng tank and unlike cng which dissipates into the atmosphere if it is ruptured gasoline goes on the ground and a single spark can set it on fire. They estimate your engine will last up to twice as long using cng and oil changes can be done up to 15,000 miles apart. Four years ago I converted my portable generator to bifuel because I live in the country and there is only one gas station by me so if I lose power they also lose power...my generator uses low pressure natural gas from my home gas pipes. The only possible downside I have found to natural gas is the availability of it once I am away from my area so anyone that is thinking about cng should make sure it is available in your area. I know I sound like a salesman for cng but I am not...when gasoline prices went to $4 a gallon when Bush was in office I was paying 78 cents a gallon for cng.

    CNG in Europe makes sense because higher taxes on diesel and gasoline. Many taxi companies are using CNG cars, also city buses, vans and light trucks used for distribution haul. CNG/LNG vehicles and biogas made from waste materials in addition to fossil methane are going to be used even more in the EU next 10-15 years because of environmental policies.

    Good luck locating a place to fill up with CNG if you're just a private citizen. Lotta municipalities have bought into CNG because they gobble the sales BS, and have plenty of taxpayer's dollars to blow on a very expensive fueling station facility for their fleet.
    With extremely limited fueling locations, this is NOT a good idea for private vehicles.
    LP much better, but only in a pickup truck to hold larger tank in the bed.

    Dont forget to factor in the energy density of natural gas (methane) vs gasoline which is approximately 50% of that of gasoline basically GM and other car manufacturers are just giving you an option which one you want to use but you dont actually have savings the environment yes. Its better to have your okd car converted than buyibg those expensive Suvs'

    1:15 The price would be 30 to 50 percent more (on a new vehicle). This is the underlining assumption. Always buy new car or house. But modding a petrol car to CNG costs only 2000 euros and there´s used houses available for less than 20000 euros. No, they are not unlivable. 3:30 natural gas (methane) can be produced on a farm with both crops and animal farming, INFINITELY.

    I drive a cng semi they get worse mileage then diesel they weigh more then diesel and will not last nearly as long as a diesel. They can't pull like a diesel as well in cold weather they freeze up badly to all this has been what I have seen out of cng been driving cng semis for 3 years now would not take one of I had a choice in the matter. The Infrastructure is not there for it yet you have to really plain out trips for a cng to fill up.

      Im a truck driver as well. The company that I am working for is currently phasing out their CNG truck fleet; they realized that the trucks are breaking so often that its making the upkeep on these trucks expensive. Plus, the price of CNG has gone up to $2.60 a gallon as of now; so the fuel price advantage isn't there anymore.

    • @GC-ph9mz
      @GC-ph9mz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what are you talking buddy? you can say that infostructure, less torque and less range is not capillar but:
      1) because of the pressure it cannot freeze in the tank and inthe rail, and it's physics
      2)in cold weather diesel and adblue freeze, and you don't have to deal with it with cng
      3)actually cng engines run loner than diesels, because there is no dilution of engineoil with diesel. change oil in a cng truck like i do and you will see it the same color as you put it in. do it in a diesel truck and it's quite black
      4)here in europe they are selling a lot of lng semi, cheap to operate, 460 horses in a class8 semi, more than 1000 miles of range! check em out, they're pretty good
      imo for long hauls you need diesel, but for short range transortation if you have a cng station nearby you will end up with big cash in your wallet at the end of the life of a semi

For this reason, your power boost and fuel mileage increase with Propane is much greater than with CNG Also there are many more Propane stations than CNG stations

Harvesting natural gas ⛽️ in many areas have been shut down in many Midwest territories, due to, primarily, Democrat policies.
