    How long does it take to get the care certificate after completing the workbook?

    • @CareCertificate
      @CareCertificate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your employer should be able to answer this as they should be the ones awardung it. The Workbooks only cover knowledge-based criteria - your employer will also need to assess your skills in the workplace.

    Where can I do a care certificate if self employed and don't have an employer

    • @CareCertificate
      @CareCertificate  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Skills for Care say that PAs do not have to complete the Care Certificate, although they should have the competencies to perform their role. For self-employed carers, their may be funding available from the local authority or local support organisations. Skills for care may also be able to help. Several training organisations also provide cc assessment, however I cannot make any recommendations as I have never used any of them.

    Good evening Daniel. Please can I complete the CARE CERTIFICATE before securing a job in the health care sector or is it the reverse. Waiting urgently for your reply?

    • @CareCertificate
      @CareCertificate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The cc is split into assessments of knowledge and assessments of practice. The knowledge side of things could be completed before working in health and social care but it would be difficult to assess the practical items without on-the-job observations. So, in answer to your question, you really should be working in the care sector before completing the CC.

      @@CareCertificateI am trying to apply for a Health care assistant job which is why I wanted to complete the care certificate to boost my chances. But because I do not know the nature of what my role entails practically, I feel that I wont be able to give an honest answer to the questions. What do you reckon please?

    • @CareCertificate
      @CareCertificate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could go through the cc Workbooks to get an idea of the knowledge you would need. If you explain to the interviewers that you did this as part of your preparation, I'm sure that would go in your favour :)

    I’m struggling to write on the care standard electronically, could you help with a way to fill it all out? I have downloaded it on my iPad and on a laptop but nothing is letting me edit the document. Thank you

    • @CareCertificate
      @CareCertificate  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately each learning provider distributes the work in a different way so I would not be able to help with this. The best person to speak to would be your training provider or employer.

      I have just downloaded from the skills for care website, do you have any knowledge of this format?

    • @CareCertificate
      @CareCertificate  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe its pdf format, so you have to print them out and write on them.

    Can someone please tell me how to re sit assessment in care certificate

    • @CareCertificate
      @CareCertificate  ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't really resit the cc because its not an exam. You are continuously assessed against all the criteria until you are deemed competent in them all. Assessment can take many forms including observations, discussions, questions and simulations. You would need to find out from you employer or training provider how they will be assessing you.

      Care Certificates are issued by care organisations in the uk when their employees achieve all the set standards.

    Some of the questions I have are different, I guess they've changed them

    • @CareCertificate
      @CareCertificate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These are questions from the workbooks provided by Skills for Care/Health to support employers with assessing the CC. As far as I'm aware they have not been updated yet, although there are plans for this to happen soon. However, employers are not obligated to use these workbooks and can use whatever questions/methods they wish to assess the Care Certificate.

      Hi there, you're absolutely right - it would be great to have videos for all 15 standards and my plan is to get them all completed at some point. However, I have a full time job as a care manager, am studying for my level 5 diploma and have four kids so finding the time to get them done is quite difficult. I will get there though! Standard 3 will be coming soon.

    1.1c Demonstrate that they are working in accordance with the agreed ways of working with their employer
    Why did you miss this?

    • @CareCertificate
      @CareCertificate  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is information for the Workbooks so does not include competence based criteria - these would have to be assessed by an employer/assessor when they observe you performing your job role. Information about all the criteria can be found on dsdweb.co.uk, 1.1c is here: dsdweb.co.uk/care-certificate/standard-1-understand-your-role/1-2c-explain-why-it-is-important-to-work-in-ways-that-are-agreed-with-your-employer/ but again, you can only be assessed on this criteria via obs, not writing.

      Thank you, Daniel. Yes, after watching your videos AND your invaluable website I figured that the assessment is both knowledge and demonstrable assessment. You are a star. I cannot stress how thankful I am and how nicely you have conveyed this course. I have subscribed !!
      I have also noticed that when I complete this certificate, my next natural progression will be the RQF level 2 and there are a lot of answers (mapped) in both courses.
