Kenny and Lionel sing "Lady" together and it's pretty darn great! Be sure to watch the one where Kenny tells about meeting Lionel. Very evident that these guys loved each other.
I personally hate that version with them singing together, lionel takes the piss out of Kenny not hitting the high notes, very nasty of Lionel

Call me weird, but this is one of my favorite songs to blast in the house as I'm cleaning, cooking, or anything. I love, respect, appreciate, and am thankful for my wife. This song makes me giggle and cry (happiness) at the same time. She's my best friend, hero, team mate. I love this version, but Lionel Richie's will forever be superior. Both are GREAT artists.

"Handsome Santa Claus" - I love it! He was only in his mid-40s here but had that prematurely gray/white hair thing going on, but it was a beautiful head of hair and women of all ages swooned over him... especially when he sang this song. RIP Kenny - thank you for all the wonderful music you left us!
Awesome reaction! Definitely check out Coward of the County, The Gambler, and a duet he did with Dolly Parton (I think) called Islands in the Stream. I grew up with my mom listening to Kenny and fell in love with him myself. It was a sad day when he passed. He's an amazing talent.

Kenny first hit it big with a psychedelic rock band called "The First Edition", and one of their songs "What condition my condition is in." was used in "The Big Lebowski" movie.
I love that moment when the look in you eyes changes, when you go from just listening to the song, to really hearing the song and feeling the music. I bet you could perform a great cover of "Someone To Lay down Beside Me " by Linda Ronstadt, if you invested your heart and soul into it. Make it your own - kind of scary to show yourself on a song like that. Have you noticed that the best singers are always singing to someone specific, not just performing? We've all been lonely, and like you, a lot of us are still searching.

When Lionel, Quincy and Michael were ready to make "We Are The World", Kenny was one of - if not THE first artist called. It was recorded at his Lion Share Studio in LA. This recording was from 1980. Lionel would record his own version of "Lady" for his 1998 album "Time". In 1981 The Commodores also had a song called "Lady" (sung by Lionel Richie, but written by William King). You'll need your dancin' shoes for that one.
