  • Kevin from OpenSeason.ie recently visited the Cometa Air Rifle factory in Eibar, in the Basque country of northern Spain. Cometa has been our main Air Rifle supplier for the last 20+ years and we are the sole Irish supplier.

      Magnetic lead is only mined in Ireland. 😉

      To be fair some hunting pellets have a steel bb in front of it.

    Good video but It's not a pressure gauge that the operator is looking at when he straightens the barrels, it's a DTI (dial test indicator) and I never knew that lead pellets were magnetic....

    I have an inexpensive Cometa 5 springer, it's just a basic little .22 break barrel but I have always been impressed with the quality of the rifling and the better than expected accuracy, this cold hammer forging process explains why. Thanks for showing

    I kinda want a magnetic barrel now so I can loose the stock screws under my desk and find them easily
