    Thank you so much for the fantastic tour of the H&N Sport factory. Excellent questions asked in the interview as well. I found the tour most interesting. Thanks also to H&N's management for allowing us a peak inside of the pellet / slug manufacturing process. Learned a lot.

    I love these "How They Do It" kind of videos in full detail, plus they bring consumers closer to the company in question and may even influence their purchasing decision... Great videos!

    I have some childhood memories...My Grandfather used to buy H&N pellets i still remmeber how they used to look in .22 they had Green printing with big pellet emblum in middle and Red for
    .177, on the top of lid i still have those tins badly rusted..my dad my uncle myself and my son will always go with H&N Pellets amazing quality at low price.
    Thank You H&N.

    Wonderful job H&N! I love H&N pellets. I have used H&N Baracuda Extreme Hunter, Hornet, Sniper Magnum and look forward to Baracuda Hunter, Terminator and Crow Magnum to give them a try. IMHO usually my rifles love H&N pellets. They are at higher'rank and field-proven, not just a promise.

    I found this to be super-informative from start to finish and now have a better understanding of how my favourite brand of pellet (RWS Hobby in .22) ends up in the nice little tin in my local firearms store in Perth, Western Australia.
    Being an expat from the UK, we have known for decades how efficient and hard working our German neighbours are!
    Best of all, you found a German with a sense of humour! That is a rare commodity indeed!! 😂

    My favorite pellets are H&N. I enjoyed the tour. I wish they would make the Piledriver in 25 cal and 357 cal. I have had better luck with them then slugs in my air rifles. Can't wait for the air rifle industry to make the move to designing barrels that will shoot slug accurately. I know there are some manufacturers that have already done this. Waiting for the rest to catch up.

    Completely different to the JSB production facility in the Czech Republic. This one seems to have so much more sophistication & mechanisation. In saying that, I must admit I prefer overall the “feel” of the JSB facility. It seems more family oriented with a just as good or better result, and is after all my favourite pellet 👍
    Its funny how Americans think they are the biggest consumer & “favourite “ with sales etc but in fact quite few countries in front... had to laugh 😆

    • @Patrick-857
      @Patrick-857 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Americans all seem to shoot Crosman pellets which are pretty low quality. Over here in NZ most stores only stock Gamo, but thankfully I can get H&N at larger gun stores and JSB from NZ based online retailers. Those are the only two brands I will use.

    Really value this video, thank you and H&N Mr Siemens to take the time to do this. World changing information. H&N definitely German process and quality no doubt. But I still hold JSB and their going to lead ball 1st and then pellet as the better quality product just from an engineering process. H&N and Gamo's pellet making progress is the same from wire to pellet and you can see from Gamo's quality control that things don't always come out good. Most Gamo pellets have the ridge down the side from wire inconsistencies. But that said, great video and great company H&N. (Being automated their pellets should be cheaper than they are - less people employ more profit) If I can't get JSB I buy H&N and it will continue that way purely because I support people more than machines

    Really great Vid, plus the JSB one. Real Eye openers, many thanks.
    My AA TX200HC prefers JSB manufactured pellets, such as JSB Exact and AA Field.
    My HW100KT prefers H&N manufactured pellets such as Barracuda Match and Bisley Magnum.
    Compare say Bisley Premier and H&N Silver Point, they're identical.
    Once you find what has been developed specifically developed with your brand of gun, pellet selection becomes a lot easier.

    When I was young ,I worked for a daughter company from Shell. The alu " Breads" as we called them. (They are mixed with all sorts of metal) A aluminum alloy that is. The pure Alumunium blocks are 99,9%.(highest grade) and then mixed in a process. For airplane skins or doorknobs or pellets, Every thing has different other metals in it. People call it all "Aluminium". But all is aloy. As the bullet makers will have the percentages kept secret. Nice to see, as it was a shitty job , they also make pellets of it. And its the reasons why one pellet is softer then another brand.

    • @HanSolo__
      @HanSolo__ 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      H&N pellets are harder, some prefer it this way. For example, during the cold weather, JSB is more prone to be damaged when taken by frozen hands from the tins. Also shooting against steel targets makes JSB vanish in the air while with H&N you can still find deformed pellet.

    • @injairgun
      @injairgun 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HanSolo__ I find H&N hit and miss with certain pellet types. Some fit loosely and don't shoot very well. Others won't even chamber. I have never had that problem with JSB. I like the softer lead of JSB, which makes for expansion a little easier. H&N makes fantastic pellets and I use both brands quite a bit. I love H&N's .177 Wadcutter

      It's all gun-dependent. My Hatsan 155 shoots the H&N Hunter Extreme and Cro Magnum shoot great...the JSB Exact 34 grain doesn't shoot for shit. Total garbage *in that gun*. Just sprays them, even at 20 yards you're talking a 6" group. Looking at the pellets, the JSBs are smoother, closer in weight to one another, and more consistent in general; I expected the JSBs to be better but in this gun they just aren't.

I have a couple springers but nothing compared to these pcp's of today. I was especially impressed with the FX gun factory in Sweden ,all those robots, INCREDIBLE . It really looks like the air gun industry is taking off. I really like the impact and the maverick. MR. Dubber has the best of all worlds when it comes to hunting, lots of farms that need rat and pigeon control, and monkey's and Duckies. I would have a full time job if I lived over their. And working with FX to make slugs that work better for bigger game. He is doing well for himself. I like watching his videos ,those air guns are hitting with authority . Good work.

    Just to clarify for you:
    We can use 0.22 caliber airguns and below without a license in South Africa.
    The law states 0.22 caliber and above requires a license, however 0.22 in a firearm is defined as 5.56mm in metric measurements. As airguns use 0.217/0.218 or 5.52 or so, they don't qualify as true 0.22 in terms of the law and we can use them.
    Just good luck really 😜
    On the bad luck side through a bit of ignorance and incompetence on the part of the authorities, we basically can't license airguns at all. So someone like Matt Dubber getting a license and starting to use 0.25+ just isn't going to happen in the foreseeable future...

    Great in-depth video Steve, H&N are the second line of pellets I use after JSB. They can make good pellets if you get a good tin. Looking forward to a tour video of JSB now.

      I ordered some recently and the skirts were damaged, also they seem slightly softer than jsb, although I haven’t tested that yet.

    Above 7,5Joule/ 5.5foot pound you need a hunting licence in Germany, but on the Autobahn there is no speed limit!? Very informative video, thank you Steve.

    I'm not sure if they're going to do it....or if they have already done it. Definitely need to have a sampler can of there slugs. Would make things a lot easier for test trial and error. Nothing more than I hate than spending a lot of money on many different types of ammo and none of them work. I am seriously looking forward to testing out there slugs though. I really hope they come up with a sampler pack. I am very grateful and proud to be an American. Not many rules. Like other countries. Great video Steve. Once again thanks for taking the time and effort to take care of us Air Gunners and put these videos out. From NM. Stay blessed Shoot Straight my friend.👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸✌✌

      James LeMacks.... There sure as heck isn't Anything wrong with JSB's pellets!!..... There have been more 1st place winners in the world Olympics 10M shooting, using JSB's than all their competitors... Combined, over the decades.. including H&N. But, Every barrel has it's favorites... so we all (well.. those who take airguns seriously, anyway) use what groups best at different ranges in each of our airguns, regardless of the brand name. : )
