It's a good plane and it has sped up my grind... because a lot of people who bought it have zero situational awareness and you can sometimes just go around the map and kill them with AIM-9Bs lol. When piloted by a competent player, it's a beast.

@@casualchad627 that's the opposite of the su25. It's brain dead easy to use the r60mk against stuff that can Bearley doge the missles don't have countermeasures and are too slow to avoid it/missles. And after it fires the missles it's completely useless and easy to kill
Only problem with this plane I’ve experienced so far is that A N Y damage to a wing is extremely likely to send you into a spin and decimate your agility if you are able to recover.
8 months later... This shit can ate 2 Fim-92K and acts like nothing happened 😂

It's probably the best premium in the game right now, if you are wanting something with lots of fun and variety. So many different weapons, that you can try something new quite often.

@@locomoco967 A-10. At least for me. Lots of fun. Can take it out as a fighter if you really wanted, the missiles are good and turns well. But the wide variety of weapons for ground targets make it really fun.

IDK what it is, but when the patch released suddenly the A-10 felt alot smoother to fly. For a while it was a brick but now i really enjoy it again... If i finally manage to sell my Leo AV ill probs pick it up
This is the most fun I’ve had playing air battles. It’s also the only current available 9.7 premium to grind rank I-VII. When it’s uptiered it’s not bad, and when it’s downtiered, it’s unfair. There were two of us against A-4E’s and several prop planes.
It's ok in Air Arcade and Air Realistic. In GRB it's let down by the fact it isn't correct or fully capable and in Air Sim it's massively gimped.
Lets get this straight. The Su-25 and Su-25K both lack multi function displays and IRL cannot launch true fire and forget (independently targetable) missiles with any precision as there is no way for the pilot to see what the missile TV seeker sees.
This jet was designed to work entirely with a JTAC or Forward Air Controller who will lase the target. The pilot would be directed on a course to get a clean Line Of Sight so the missile can see the illumination of the laser, pilot gets a signal the missile sees the target and fires the missile and breaks away for cover. As far as the jet is concerned, the laser guided Kh-25 and Kh-29 are truly fire and forget when guided by someone on the ground with a laser.
Yes yes A-10A would do this too and yes it was done but the A-10 had an MFD and the pilot can independently locate and engage targets from a safe standoff distance with no JTAC or FAC in the field . Something the basic Su-25 cannot do.
If the jet view options were modeled realistically, there would be no "missile view" in Air Sim, the best you could hope for would be pointing your crosshairs at the muzzle flash of a tank inthe distance, gyro caging the sight on that flash, lighting the laser up and firing more or less blind and hoping to hit something all while charging straight into the line of fire of a group of very angry SPAA. In this sense, the Su-25/K do not belong in this game at all. Gaijin screwed up, failed to plan and I will never change my mind about this.
The Su-25T and Su-39 should occupy the slots and BR of the Basic and K models.. The 25T and 39 jets do have a multi funtion display and the ability to locate and engage targets with effective magnified optics and should be the starting point for comperable jets to the A-10A. These jets are still limited to lasing a single target at a time, still limited to non-thermal imaging sights and limited in engagement range but they're closer in parity to the A-10A for GRB and Air Sim.
The Su-25SM3 is very powerful in GRB due to the extended range of the Kh-38MT and the thermal sight this jet brings to the battle. I believe the A-10C with 4 AGM-65K will be the match to the SM3 in GRB and Air Sim when added.
If all you do is play Air Arcade or Air Realistic then the Su-25K is sufficient. If you play GRB you might find yourself with limited standoff capability and if you play any form of Sim, you will be stomped regularly.
Honestly greatest premium I’ve ever bought. Best grinds I’ve EVER had.
Probably the best "first premium" purchase candidate. A ton of utility, workable against both airplanes and ground targets, makes lucrative money.
I know why it wont go up to 10.0 they want it to sell as a good combo with the T-72 premium pack at 9.7.

And when I started playing it was already 9.7. I thought it was 9.3. Big difference as you get dragged to 10.3 every game.

Wont happen. The A-10A has mavericks, all aspect missiles and is still 9.7. Ground attacks planes are mostly adjusted based on ordnance, not performance.

A10 is 10.0 and this does everything the A10 does while performing better in airRB, which is where it's gonna get its cracked stats. We know gaijin only listens to stats.
Well, GR.7 is 11.7 now, so not much of a threat I would say even though SU 25K got uptiered to 10.0
Could you make a jet noob friendly guide to setups for jets?and how to effectively use them as a beginner. Specifically for the su-25 - I’ve been considering a purchase into the upper tiers. I’m a long time casual player that recently got into it heavy, and peaked so far in research at early jets in Germany. But I want to branch out.
All the different load outs confuse me, and I’m not sure what I should use to make my experience a good one.

I haven't flew mine yet (still farming on unexperienced players who jumped on it, in air RB), but if it goes to 10.0 its probably going to be just another top premium that is no more than a hangar decoration for me! Unless a huge BR decompression comes that saves 10.0 - 10.3 (and outdated ex top) jets from being the free kills to the top end fighters.
ALSO important question: what the fuck happened with the SNEB rockets on the EC-665 helis? Why those are useless HE now? They did not even mentioned in the change-log. Seriously i could not kill a M3A3 Bradley with it, and against open vehicles it actually has to land INSIDE the crew compartment to kill them! The Premium Tiger HAP is (with its also nerfed 30mm gun) is technically useless on 10.0, even preforms poorly in heli PvE!
They just launched a bug fix on the EC-665! And they also changed SP for drones from 550 to 750 kekw. But yeah this SU25K spam in ARB is just heh

i wish gaijin allowed refunds at the first days of use... i got it for ground rb and tbh its dissapointing, and the laser guidance camera makes it harder to spot vehicles compared to 3rd person veiw (cause it zooms less) the r60s are the only good thing about it, it is more survivable than the a10 tho but i never survive AA missiles compared to what i see on youtube

@@tsilfidis1996 at 11.0 it gets 4 r60ms and 2 r60’s without a ground strike load, with the same ground strike camera. Now the frogfoot is at 9.7 so it doesn’t have to fight 11.0 AA or tomcats or mirage 2ks, the only thing the su22 does better is that it’s faster and has 2 more decent missiles for a almost 1.3 br increase maybe just don’t buy premiums without the skill because 11.0 r60ms at 9.7 are just fucking broke. Most 8.7-9.3 planes don’t even have flares.

I have the fun in this i thought i would have had in the A-10.
80% win rate!? I researched this thing yesterday and almost spaded it today and I have a 30% winrate. This afternoon I lost 15 games in a row in air rb while getting 1-2 kills a game the teams are full of lvl 10 in these and other attackers.
My poor wallet...but grinding the TT variant and spading it would take me ages, and it does not have reward bonuses.
Wouldn't the A-7 be the US analog to the Su? iirc the A-10 is used more as a overkill COIN aircraft with the mixed capability to work as a strike aircraft if needed

Again gaijin need to put seperate BR for GRB and ARB. At ARB yes the su-25 is phenomenal for a CAS with R60M but at GRB its less capable than A10 with 6Mav cause the optimal range of SU-25 is like 2.5km away even with the laser guided munition
Tank RB against russia is just impossible now. I see people just rush a cap with the BT-5 and proceed to slap people around.

Yet another reason I absolutely hate Gaijin's obsession with selling popular vehicles like this.
If it's flown by a casual or new player who just wants an overpowered grinder, they'll absolutely suck in it, but they can still shit on tech tree subsonic gunfighters with no missiles or countermeasures, with fucking all-aspect dogfight missiles.
If flown by competent players, it will absolutely dominate battles because it's essentially two free kills plus good enough dogfight performance to club planes below its BR.
I've already seen both sides of this spam, and it has once again ruined a BR bracket. 10.3 planes are being spammed to counter them, so up-tiers are all but guaranteed. Anyone caught in the middle is going to have an awful time.

“What the A-10 should be” yeah no the A-10 is better it’s just slower is all. Weapons wise the SU-25 sucks, except it’s R-60M those are super amazing.
For CAS, the AGM-65s on the A-10 are better than what the Frogfoot has for sure, but, otherwise, It's a toss up. For air battles, I strongly prefer the Frogfoot due to the substantially better energy/speed that it has, along with its better ability to carry the additional cannons. Attaching to additional cannons to the A-10 kills its already awful speed, whereas the Frogfoot has surprisingly good speed/maneuverability with the four 23mm cannons attached.

@@Tankenstein however you can’t forget EVERYTHING suspended is ejectable now with a keybind including empty rocket pods and cannons. The A-10 is perfect CAS and yes it’s anti air role is a bit more limited. The Frogfoot is a bit more capable due to its power and speed against air but it’s heavy use of dumb weapons, rockets, and laser guided makes it an even easier target than the A-10 to top tier SPAA. The A-10 can sit at a very high alt and let the mavericks glide in from very high and you can push probably 8km at max alt with the A-10

@@sidtasker2937 Gaijin didn’t model the A-10 properly AT ALL it bursts into flames unrealistically easy and falls apart when it simply doesn’t do that IRL, meanwhile the SU-25 in game for me has BEEN HIT AND SHRUGGED OFF MULTIPLE SAMs in Ground RB while I flew it. Both aircraft should be about that tanky.

It’s been used extensively in the last few years and known to be a absolute tank in the sky irl Unlike the su25 which in game can take 2 spaa missiles and still fly home. But Ukraine has said different in real life. Literally video evidence. A-10 in game is a tail loss simulator.
@@Honoer listen, I can not confirm who you talked and "I talked to a dude" is not evidence or a valid claim to support your argument, furthermore they were not used in recent years, las time it was in libya if I remember. The only engagements where they were extensively used were in middle east and mostly in the later stages of the invasions when the US destroyed pretty much all really dangerous anti air weapons and the (enter poor middle eastern villagers here) had at most stingers on their hand. Ukraine said nothing irl, there are videos of su getting destroyed and there are also videos of su tanking a missile and flying away. On the other hand Ukraonian su were shot down pretty easily considering Russia employs deadlier AA. Same thing would happen with an A10. But you never saw that scenario because USA goes only for countries that can barely shoot down a zepelin, let alone a plane. The mpment they went for a cpintry with a decent AA they started "accidentally" bombing residential blocks, TV stations, embassies etc.

I like how having FOUR gunpods doesn't make the nose drop at all whatsoever... In any other aircraft carrying just two your nose drops by 5-10 degrees on the initial trigger pull.. No wonder this thing obliterates enemies...
The damage model on that plane is still broken. I honestly doubt they will fix it at this point. You can hit it with a direct missile hit and it does no damage.

-no radar (like half of the planes it goes against)
-far too efficent engine that can wingrip you while carrying an entire nuclear plant amount of weight
-mediocre amount of bullets
-low fuel as minimum(like you cant select more fuel...)
Its strenghts:
-incredible manouverability
-high speed for a subsonic plane
-ordanance ranging from a new years cracker to nukes
-the ability to whoop ground and air targets at the same time with relative ease
-missiles that are technically surefire kills
-airframe and body wich makes it the mouse of the air

@@ItzChickenYall i cant say because i have not unlocked or purchased the a10 but they're both very similar planes with similar playstyles I think (im not a pro in this game just a casual) so i would just buy the one that's in the tech tree you want to level up. So if your end goal is American jets, buy the a10, if its soviet jets buy the su25.

I'd argue that the closest thing to an Su-25 is the A-7. The Su-25 doesn't have a massive gun, just the Gsh-30. Its still powerful, but Isnt special like the GAU-8.
I love it! Add gun pods, rockets and your unstoppable, just make sure to flare quite a few times if a missile is on you and dont get hit as a damaged wing will often send you to your early grave. Hope this helps :)

The Su-25K is easily the best plane I've ever flown. I have a 2.5 K/D with it after nearly 300 matches. It won't be that way for everyone, but this is my best plane in game - bar none.

It's only weeknesses is that it has no after burns but it can still go mach jesus, has really resistant flaps that you can release until +800 km/h it's AAM are agile like that one 15 old crush in the gym flying at mach Jesus.

It's a pretty terrible plane. Any plane can be good with a good piliot but that doesn't change the fact that the plane is bad. At it's BR it's way slower than anyone else in the lobby and is easy picking for f-5c that are 400 km faster than you. For bombing it can carry an alright load but is too slow so other bombers get their firrst and you're just waiting for the bases to reset.

Does it have bomb CCIP? Maybe I'm being daft but it seems to say so on the HUD but I cannot actually get it to work? Works fine for rockets.
Just worked it out, you have to be in a much steeper dive for it to appear.
