    My mom has a large garden and the way she makes sure she never loses a her tools is she went and bought a bunch of those in ground hooks for bird feeders and put them all over her garden in "zones" then hung her tools off of that. So now there is always a tool handy and she doesn't have to carry them around and get mad at herself for losing them.😂🥰💚✌🏽

    When you turned the camera from the damaged plants to the thriving ones, it was like going into another garden! 😊 You have done a great job of overlapping your planting. Fresh produce! All year long! ❤

    If that spider had fallen into your hair I would have screamed so loud 😂 love the quails 😊 I pulled my pepper plants out and then found out you can overwinter them. I'll try that next winter. Just getting my spring garden started. Still cold n rainy here with intermittent hot days.

      I stopped to make a comment about the lost tools and I'm glad I saw this so I can prepare myself for this spider. The last time she did that close-up freaked me out and I was itchy and paranoid the rest of the day.👀 I appreciate you for this lol.🤣

    So happy to have found your channel. I'm working on a proposal for collective urban, suburban and peri-urban small scale/boutique farming. Researching took me to alternative options I think the channel is called, and was thrilled to see you in the lineup. Thank you for posting your process and progress on TH-cam, it's a great example for all to follow. Happy farming and a shout out from the Free State Province of South Africa!

    Good morning, Asia.
    Beautiful garden boots! I’ve been seeing lots of their beautiful pattered boots on different TH-cam channels. I love leopard prints, too.
    Love your garden!
    I couldn’t get my garden going this year, and I am so disappointed in myself. My lower back kept me from garden success this year. Maybe, I can still get something in the garden.
    Thanks for sharing, and for being such an inspiration

    Garden Spiders are just that - great for the garden. They are usually yellow with black legs, and they have a trademark 'zig-zag' on their web. They are not poisonous, and are harmless to humans. Your fall garden is looking good and healthy!

    I need to plant my garlic soon. Was wondering if they will grow in grow bags and what size would be needed. I may not be here in Spring, so just in case I want to be able to move them without digging them up.
    Your Kohlrabi looks good. I tried one from the Farmer's market and it had alot of material; too much for one person to eat, so cut it up to have multiple meals out of but it starts turning brown. Is there a way to prevent that?

    • @joycewilson3620
      @joycewilson3620 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Anything can be grown in a container. You can grow in flower pots, buckets, tubs, crates, even cardboard boxes. Depends on how much you are planting as to how big or small the container. Your imagination is the limit. Good luck & blessings/

    • @IAMGiftbearer
      @IAMGiftbearer 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@joycewilson3620 I was wondering if I planted 1 garlic clove per bag what size bag I'd need. I want to plant them individually if I can so they have their own space. How wide and how deep?

    • @YellowDoorUrbanHomestead
      @YellowDoorUrbanHomestead  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I plant everything in 7 gallon but I imagine you could go smaller for garlic. The roots aren’t super deep and they don’t take up a lot of space. Maybe a 5 gallon. It also depends on how many you plant in one bag.
      Thank you! I’m not sure of how you would keep them from turning brown. Did you put them in an airtight container?

    • @joycewilson3620
      @joycewilson3620 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@IAMGiftbearer Elephant garlic is said to need planted 6 inches apart. Regular garlic doesn't need that much space. The size of container will determine how many will fit. Container also needs to be at least 10 to 12 inches deep. I hope that helps. Also, you can ask "google" for specifics 😉.
