Nice job fixin' up Bubba Dumps hood and radiator shroud.
Two things tho.
First, aways spray horizotally top to bottom to avoid overspray dust roughness on parts already painted.
Second, when you paint anything always spray at least 3 coats of clear, matte, semi-gloss or gloss as it protects the paint layer from scratches.
A scratch is way less obvious if it's only the clear coat layer.
That's why I always sprayed 6 coats on the Arcade games I'd restored and sold knowing the abuse they go thru.
No matter, Old Bubba is gonna look good wint those items restored.
Yuppers, the second yellow was best.
It's more construction yellow.
Keep in mind that the original part has aged over the years Bubba has been in the sun to get that darker shade of yellow.
One thing for certain, it looks awesome with the custom Sot grill work.
The first one to circus / arcade game yellow.
Nice to see Mini-Man Arron back in the shop for summer.

Looks like Man behind the scenes has been getting paint ideas from Matt's Off Road recovery lol. Was Starting to look like the Banana and DP saved it with tone down of the yellow.
Boy could you do some off road recovery with Bubba Dump! Just think about how many lazers Matt could put back there in one haul! 😂

From canary yellow to sand yellow..... you should keep Bubba Dump yellow with the bonnet green .... if the sun reflects too much off the bonnet, paint the first foot or so matt black in front of the windscreen, that will reduce glare no end !!!
And you can tell Bubba is now one of the fleet officially, he has stickers to prove it !! 😉
Aaron. LOVE the yellow. THe whole truck should be the same yellow.
I think that canary yellow was probably the color of Aaron's special school bus he rode to school in as a kid. WOW ! M.I.A. for months and that was his first thumbprint/ decision?

It was great to see the hood back on Bubba Dump . The hood turned out great, colors and everything, I enjoyed all the laughing and joking back and forth getting the body work done . There was a lot of work and time went into it, but as everyone can see it was worth all the effort and trouble, cause it turned out to look amazing . Thanks for the video, so take care and stay safe out there digging and pushing dirt .

I know I am a Little color blind But to me i can not hardly see the bubba dump letters if it was a little bit lighter green I think others like me might be able to see it better . I am not saying anything bad about anyone as the work is great from all of you and you are one of my favorite channels it is just how my vision is . Please continue with the great videos it is so good to see how well you and your friends get along together

Like I said on S.O.T.'s video, the Bubba Dump Dark green does not stand-out with that Black background. It's a bad-ass sign, but it needs like a light-green outline to make it pop! @37:39 you barely can see the words, then I look up at the same frame and see your Dirt Perfect banner and it pops!. Idea, put a giant dirt perfect foot-print on the black plate, with Bubba Dump over the top of that!

Aaron might be interested in what is happening up in Wyoming. They are taking a retired coal fired plant, reusing the steam turbines and generators and replacing the boilers with an array of small modular nuclear reactors built by NuScale. They are a "walk away safe" design that can't meltdown.
I'd give those hand holds a coat of rubberized paint, gives them a better grip especially if raining or wet. 👍🏻😁

The section of the dumpa body where the sign was just placed ,that would suit the green in the sign and your logo shadowed over it ???😃😃
The green and that red that you used for the title is a good combo ,if the Dirt Perfect was red on that green background,that would pop ,you name then stands out at a glance,I don't think a dull Army Green works as a marketing tool .

For your generator issue not running your air compressor. Try looking at a soft start! Also if you install a Micro-Air easy start on your A/C compressor it takes out the high amps needed to start the compressor! Micro-Air Easy Start is also all USA made!

The only thing I would change is if there was some way to put the letters of Bubba dump in Aaron's yellow. The green lettering is hard to see or maybe you could put a set of those 12 volt Christmas lights and Trace the letters with them LOL

I’m with MBTS on this one. The original yellow has had 20 odd years and all the UV has faded it. The new yellow will fade and blend in 🤥 over time. Great job. Enjoyed you guys taking the Michael out of Michael. Thanks for posting. 🇬🇧👍👍👍
If you ever sneek bubba dump down a road or are turning around around on roads….the bright yellow will stand out enough for other drivers to see it ….where army green tends to blend in with the trees

This was to funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was thinking to much cannabis for a bit it was starting to look like the WOODSTOCK DUMP just missing the flowers 💐 I find the logo is to dark its nice but it doesn't pop I think it would of been better with the bright green like your banner logo and your trailer. Because when you paint the truck green I think it won't be noticeable. But overall great job boys 👍👍👍

Welding in those round pieces gave me an idea. You should have stuck 3, or 4 fake exhaust pipes out of the sides of the hood, make it look like a hot rod! 😂

It's amazing just how much paint changes colour when it dries 🤣😂🤣 As safety feature if you had painted the hole thing in that shade of yellow, you'd never not see it on a building site, mind you you would have needed 1/2 ton of filler to make it as good as your repair. Love how you three bounce of each other, special friendships are a rare thing.

Great video. Gives me some of what my wife would call bad ideas. Ever consider having Bubba vinyl wrapped? You would probably be the only owner of a vinyl wrapped twenty plus year old haul truck on the planet. You could even choose Dirt Perfect approved neon green.

Back in the 80s mom wanted to paint the bedrooms yellow, dad said ok and mom went and got the paint. Dad thought it would be something really light, but mom had picked out the brightest yellow. It took nearly a week of fighting before mom's best friend convinced her to paint the broom closet. The bedrooms got painted an off white color and the bathrooms got the yellow. Talk about becoming wide awake walking into the bathroom in the morning.

I used to run with a Fire Department 🚒 in Pennsylvania that had the Fire Trucks painted that color. California Sunburst Yellow.

The only way you can read bubba dump is if you are five feet from it , this had to be your plan . Yellow and green do look great, also your body work turned out magnificent so i give you guys two thumbs up 👍👍 Again more awesome content.

I have done a lot of body work on an old 1969 chevy blazer. Rockers and fenders and I love the trick with the drywall rasp.
Well DP I agree with Aaron on the yellow and green, but I also agree with you and Matt on the canary yellow. Oh my God that could have blinded someone on the jobsite.

Once the bright yellow sits in the sun for a week, the brightness will fade to a comfortable color.
I had my car painted with taxi cab yellow with a small amount of white in it. I went out of state for a week and when I returned, the bright yellow was subdued. I was surprised by what happened. 😅
Gonna stick out! Yeah... like the lines on the road!
