Well he would be excited but he would know he will die trying to fight meruem head on. He would have probably targeted one of the royal guards probably youpi or the butterfly one since Gon wanted to kill the cat one and hisoka would enjoy knowing Gon is getting stronger. Hisoka would either kill the royal guard or stop fighting and leave it to the other hunters if the royal guard was too weak or boring to him. If he left the royal guard since he is bored or think they are weak he would go after meruem or go after gon and possibly steal the kill from gon to make gon hate hisoka more and make gon motivated to get stronger to kill hisoka.
That's what separates Netero from Ging, Gon or Don, the Freecs motivating factor always boils down to curiosity, seeking the unknown, a true adventurer/hunter while Netero is a true warrior/Hunter. Neteros life revolved around martial art and fighting and this is the environment where he became strong while the Freecs life revolved around the natural environment where adaptability is highly needed and this environment made them strong.

That being said, his mobility is his strength, which Hisoka can hinder with Bungee Gum. The *ONLY* Spider member that Hisoka was ever interested in, was Chrollo. It is safe to assume that he doesn't view the others as a good enough challenge, as Machi is the only one he has ever praised.

Hisoka has a chest full of dolls of every person he's interested in fighting. In that chest he has dolls of every Spider member, except Kalluto I believe. Feitan, Phinks, Nobunaga, and Franklin are the current strongest members of the Spiders (excluding Chrollo) and there's no way you can tell me those guys will not be a challenge to Hisoka.

Man HxH is so underrated, theres so much going on in this anime and i wanna know it all. Especially the new world and the history of don freecs who wrote the journey to the new world book. I hope togashi will finish this series and make a movie about don freecs exploring the new world and writing the book.
He's definitely a Protag, he hasn't hurt any of the good guys, he basically trained Gon in the exam and in the arena, and pushed his limits. And kinda steered danger away from them, snitches out the spiders to kurapika, he's good its been hidden under his quirks and wierdness🤦🏾♂️
He probably was helping gon because he was waiting for the perfect time to fight him. He seems to want gon to reach his full potential before he finishes him once and for all. So in the meantime he may as well help him get there faster.

saddest part about Kirapika is that there’s almost no reason for him to survive this venture to the dark continent, narratively speaking. He’s built his entire life as a hunter solely to kill the Phantom Troupe. Once they’re gone (and maybe he takes down the 4th prince with the weird name) he’ll have no real narrative drives and will thus no longer be able to be a strong protagonist. Like Gon and finding Ging, he’ll have lost his reason to stay in the spotlight. Unfortunately, with so many dangerous characters lurking around, while en route to the most dangerous place on the planet, losing your time in the spotlight is basically synonymous with death.

That's not entirely true. There's a lot of speculation that the Kurta are from and still exist on the DC. I don't think there's any reason to continue talking about the Kurta if Pika dies. And there's always the fact that he could still die but if Leorio knows there's something on the DC that could bring him back you can be damn sure he'd track it down. I do think it's more than likely the current arc will be his end but the way the DC is being set up literally anything is possible

I really hope hisoka doesn't kill the entire troupe, especially in this arc. I can't imagine this series going on with them out of it, it always made more sense that they would die together with kurapika close to the end of the series (ever if it may come)
Have you read any of the speculation about the Kurta being from and still on the DC? I'd love a video on that if there's enough there to speculate on for a full video at least. That theory is the biggest reason I think Kurapika MIGHT survive the Succession War. If the Kurta are there I don't think that matters nearly as much if Kurapika isn't alive for it. I don't think its a coincidence they have a Mobius Strip emblazoned on their clothes. Either that or it becomes Leorio's driving force to find something to revive/save Pika on the DC. His death is being so clearly set up I don't know if it's avoidable but the DC has a strong precedent set of having lots of crazy strong medicine. And if the Kurta are there that could very definitely mean Hisoka would have some new potential fights
The dark continent is a perfect place for a high level fight hunter like hisoka. And with all the strong fighters on way for the dark continent we will see some ecstatic hisoka moment and epic confrontations 🌋
I can see Leorio becoming a protagonist because of Togashi's regular use of subversion. My theory for this lies in part of the reasoning made in the video: there's no traditional fighters on the Dark Continent, just the ones aboard the Black Whale 1. So, Leorio becomes the lead protagonist on the DC because of his extensive research and study. Basically, I'm suggesting that he'll be the key to helping people that get affected/attacked by DC creatures and viruses while also playing a key role in finally getting something beneficial to humanity off the Dark Continent. I think this would also finally play into his character development arc of wanting to help humanity and taking on the cost himself. It may even alleviate his guilt over the dead friend he was unable to help.
I have always found interesting that the process of decline and maybe eventual demise of the Spiders was hinted pretty much since they first appeared back in Yorknew, they still have most of their strongest or combat-oriented members but for every disposable member that has died they also have lost a member with an ability described as vital for their activities, if the pattern continues I guess that Shizuku and one of the three hot blooded members of the group will be the next ones to bite the dust; as powerful as they are (something that is amplified due their strong bonds) their laser-focus on Hisoka can be quite detrimental now that they are separated, in the middle of a mafia war, with two members of dubious loyalty in their ranks and Kurapika and a bunch powerful lunatics just some meters above them. Kurapika has his hands full with his current predicament but if Mizaistom tells him they are there he will have a huge advantaje in their eventual encounter.
@Big White Duck That's the interesting predicament of the cow dude, he seems pretty capable, if / when he spills the beans it will be because it is the most adecuate moment to use that info or because it is the complete opposite scenario: an incident / emergency of huge proportions that forces him to reveal that info, whatever happens is bound to be interesting.
Thing is, Kurapika needs to be careful With Chrollo’s new Hatsu, Transfer Student, he could transform anyone else into a Spider or himself, and if Kurapika uses Chain Jail on the imposter, he will die. At the same time, Chrollo can disguise himself as anyone else.

I think illumi is actually disguised Hisoka. And next to die imo is Shizuku, it was foreshadowed or rather literally told to us that she is going to die all the way back in the York New arc with fortune telling ability.

Like when Netero wasn't using right leg and left arm and he lost those arms against king and everyone was shocked how he showed us that in early chapters. Potential Spoilers: shalnarks fortune told us that he shouldnt make any calls cause when time comes he wont be able to contact anyone, shizukus was that she will find eternal rest in a room filled with black merchandise, maybe she will die by her own ability or something or maybe its quite literally a dark storage room that was shown in manga, nobunaga is also one who's fate was foreshadowed that he was going to lie beside bloody scarlet eyes (idk if both will die but kurapikas fate was told in the interview togashi gave idk where exactly i found that information but i remember hearing something about it im not entirely sure if its true tho). I'd really like to be wrong but its way to clear.
Hisoka and Kurapika will team up for sure against the spiders one way or anothern. They have a precedent already of these interactions. Kurapika will probably die. Hisoka might go to the dark continent or he might not. If he goes it might be the most profound effect anything has had on Hisoka so far. It might even break him or completely shift his gears in some way. He won't be the same returning if he does. He might still want to fight some people but i think he will be permanently scarred by this experience.

Hisoka has a chest full of dolls of every person he's interested in fighting. In that chest he has dolls of every Spider member, except Kalluto I believe. Feitan, Phinks, Nobunaga, and Franklin are the current strongest members of the Spiders (excluding Chrollo) and there's no way you can tell me those guys will not be a challenge to Hisoka.

saddest part about Kirapika is that there’s almost no reason for him to survive this venture to the dark continent, narratively speaking. He’s built his entire life as a hunter solely to kill the Phantom Troupe. Once they’re gone (and maybe he takes down the 4th prince with the weird name) he’ll have no real narrative drives and will thus no longer be able to be a strong protagonist. Like Gon and finding Ging, he’ll have lost his reason to stay in the spotlight. Unfortunately, with so many dangerous characters lurking around, while en route to the most dangerous place on the planet, losing your time in the spotlight is basically synonymous with death.
kurapika will never be able to beat the 4th prince as far as we know the 4th prince Tserriednich is the strongest evil character in the hunter x hunter world the 4th prince powers and nen abilities are too strong for kurapika oen of the 4th prince powers he can even see 10 seconds into the future no to mention his beasts neen and he is a specialist and on top of it he is a genius and a sadist chatacter
That's not entirely true. There's a lot of speculation that the Kurta are from and still exist on the DC. I don't think there's any reason to continue talking about the Kurta if Pika dies. And there's always the fact that he could still die but if Leorio knows there's something on the DC that could bring him back you can be damn sure he'd track it down.
I do think it's more than likely the current arc will be his end but the way the DC is being set up literally anything is possible

I really hope hisoka doesn't kill the entire troupe, especially in this arc. I can't imagine this series going on with them out of it, it always made more sense that they would die together with kurapika close to the end of the series (ever if it may come)
Have you read any of the speculation about the Kurta being from and still on the DC? I'd love a video on that if there's enough there to speculate on for a full video at least. That theory is the biggest reason I think Kurapika MIGHT survive the Succession War. If the Kurta are there I don't think that matters nearly as much if Kurapika isn't alive for it. I don't think its a coincidence they have a Mobius Strip emblazoned on their clothes.
Either that or it becomes Leorio's driving force to find something to revive/save Pika on the DC. His death is being so clearly set up I don't know if it's avoidable but the DC has a strong precedent set of having lots of crazy strong medicine.
And if the Kurta are there that could very definitely mean Hisoka would have some new potential fights

One of my favorite characters in the series
I can see Leorio becoming a protagonist because of Togashi's regular use of subversion. My theory for this lies in part of the reasoning made in the video: there's no traditional fighters on the Dark Continent, just the ones aboard the Black Whale 1. So, Leorio becomes the lead protagonist on the DC because of his extensive research and study. Basically, I'm suggesting that he'll be the key to helping people that get affected/attacked by DC creatures and viruses while also playing a key role in finally getting something beneficial to humanity off the Dark Continent. I think this would also finally play into his character development arc of wanting to help humanity and taking on the cost himself. It may even alleviate his guilt over the dead friend he was unable to help.
I have always found interesting that the process of decline and maybe eventual demise of the Spiders was hinted pretty much since they first appeared back in Yorknew, they still have most of their strongest or combat-oriented members but for every disposable member that has died they also have lost a member with an ability described as vital for their activities, if the pattern continues I guess that Shizuku and one of the three hot blooded members of the group will be the next ones to bite the dust; as powerful as they are (something that is amplified due their strong bonds) their laser-focus on Hisoka can be quite detrimental now that they are separated, in the middle of a mafia war, with two members of dubious loyalty in their ranks and Kurapika and a bunch powerful lunatics just some meters above them. Kurapika has his hands full with his current predicament but if Mizaistom tells him they are there he will have a huge advantaje in their eventual encounter.
@Big White Duck That's the interesting predicament of the cow dude, he seems pretty capable, if / when he spills the beans it will be because it is the most adecuate moment to use that info or because it is the complete opposite scenario: an incident / emergency of huge proportions that forces him to reveal that info, whatever happens is bound to be interesting.
Thing is, Kurapika needs to be careful
With Chrollo’s new Hatsu, Transfer Student, he could transform anyone else into a Spider or himself, and if Kurapika uses Chain Jail on the imposter, he will die.
At the same time, Chrollo can disguise himself as anyone else.

The fortune doesn't talk about this. The "East" was the direction of Greed Island, where the Nen remover was. Remember that the fortune tells what will happen in a week. The succession war and the dark continent have nothing to do with the fortune

@@davidc. foreshadowing doesn't care about actual time in manga. Togashi is well known for giving us hints even tho they were a lot more subtle. Like when Netero wasn't using right leg and left arm and he lost those arms against king and everyone was shocked how he showed us that in early chapters.

shalnarks fortune told us that he shouldnt make any calls cause when time comes he wont be able to contact anyone, shizukus was that she will find eternal rest in a room filled with black merchandise, maybe she will die by her own ability or something or maybe its quite literally a dark storage room that was shown in manga, nobunaga is also one who's fate was foreshadowed that he was going to lie beside bloody scarlet eyes (idk if both will die but kurapikas fate was told in the interview togashi gave idk where exactly i found that information but i remember hearing something about it im not entirely sure if its true tho). I'd really like to be wrong but its way to clear.

Hisoka and Kurapika will team up for sure against the spiders one way or anothern. They have a precedent already of these interactions. Kurapika will probably die. Hisoka might go to the dark continent or he might not. If he goes it might be the most profound effect anything has had on Hisoka so far. It might even break him or completely shift his gears in some way. He won't be the same returning if he does.
He might still want to fight some people but i think he will be permanently scarred by this experience.
