One of my most favourite clips. I watch this from time to time to give me motivation to challenge environments at work. The message is so simple and the best landed messages are always simple.
Prof. Sumantra Ghosal Born in India, educated in the USA, worked the world-over, though predominantly in Europe, Prof. Sumantra Ghoshal was a management thinker, great teacher, prolific author, and much sought-after consultant in international management .

the smell of the place is also known as culture; the more open it is, the more energetic we want to be part of that organization; growth, money whatever else, comes later (btw, I do not share his experience about Calcutta summers; I am also from Calcutta)
robinga12 I'd like to add Russian subtitles to this brilliant video. How can I do this? May be you can send me the German transcript and I'll revert with the Russian one? Please let me know.
It looks like smell differential and the use of the full global resource pool can keep this engine going for a while in developed countries. In the end producing a structural better smell in an area where things are good may not show enough effect.
I like the idea of the "smell of the workplace" that managers create and the overall impact it has on the organization!
