It depends on how much of a role you’re religion and culture plays in your everyday life and how similar your partners culture is to yours. I also think what the differences are plays a huge role. If your basic values are different I think that will cause a huge issue, but if the religions have similar basic values even if they’re very different it can work. I hope that makes sense.

However, age gap relationships where the man is over 30 and dating someone who is just out of their 20s can be a sign of abusive behavior to come. Younger people tend to be in more vulnerable positions and easier to control in these cases. I think I'm more comfortable with relationships with big age gaps relationship when both partners are above 30.

Im in therapy because of that! It will be different for every person, but for me, i tend to run away from things (people) that make me happy or don't accept it when someone does something nice for me. Internally, my brain thinks i don't deserve good things and if something goes well for a time something bad must be coming up. But this is not true - i deserve good things happening to me just because i exist, the sole existence of me is enough. I am enough. I need to stop sabotaging myself. This will be different for everyone but i truly encourage you to go to therapy and discover your own though process - there is nothing more liberating than understanding why you are feeling a certain way and why it might not always be correct. Happy healing!
