Jeez, after reading the Forerunner trilogy, I feel really bad for that Knight. It’s like the human essence inside it, in this moment of quiet, is reflecting on their situation and just being crushed by the despair. All the death and sorrow of the Human-Forerunner War, defeat at the hands of the Didact as an Ancient Human, the Composer burning them and taking their humanity away, and now, solitary confinement with nothing but their own thoughts and anguish to keep them company. And then the way the little human arms move and the whole Promethean twitches, like it is still desperately trying to feel some remnants of its humanity... chilling stuff. Whoever did this animation deserves a raise.
I feel sorry for that knight, poor bastard was probably remembering the shit that was done to him, it made me want to either free him or put him out of his misery.

Partially because he's trapped, partially because there's still something left of the composed being inside of it. Knights are kinda _meant_ to be tortured souls forced to serve. They just haven't done a good job of portraying that outside of this scene.

We know the Prometheans were made from people whose minds were digitised and uploaded into robot bodies, but then the ‘Scattered’ cutscene in H4 Spartan Ops indicated that they retain the memories of who they were converted from (more specifically, when Halsey examined a Promethean AI matrix containing memories of New Phoenix). Perhaps that Knight, with nothing else to do with itself, thought about its own memories and couldn’t cope with it. Could this maybe lead to the Promethean version of rampancy? Give them the Cybermen treatment and make them remember their past lives, thus driving them insane as a result?

0:13-1:00, the one with the most interesting reaction is this promethans. They used to be humans, & should still be affected by the symptoms of isolation. It's why their banging their head. It's because it's scared of being alone & locked up more then the enemy. It's quite sad really.

Lame how none of them were playing harmonica to pass the time, imagine the promethean shapeshifting an arm into one just killing it while everyone else is either bored or pissed, bonus points if someone tells him to shut up.
