@@vladtomuta3008 He has improved a lot not just in video making but also in analyzing. All of his oldest weapon evolutions video is played on Normal instead of Heroic, which made weapons like the Assault Rifle too strong against enemies leading to him wrongly criticizing it for being way too good.

I'd say the AR in Infinite just needs a bit less range tbh, maybe reduce the rrr when scoped or widen the bullet spread a bit when in range. Saying that though, I do wish the sidekick gets a nerf too if the AR ever gets one. I have no opinions on the H5 AR since I've never played Halo 5.

I played a guy in h3 ranked (50) that preferred the carbine and absolutely destroyed me with it. He didn't miss a shot, and he was insane with it. I learned that day to never underestimate the carbine.
h2 carbine in the hands of a very skilled player could put out pressure unlike anything else in the games sandbox. its hard to describe- but once you’ve been on the receiving end of this punishing experience you’ll understand
Another great fact about 3’s carbine in the campaign was Jackal snipers were way more often seen using that instead of the Beam Rifle. This made the enemy a lot less migraine inducing as the weapon was precise but not overly powerful so it felt more fair to go up against.
@Hexagonaldonut not just that. On legendary in halo 2 the sniper jackel kills you in one hit and never misses. And they usually get you in less then a second. And usually there is between 5 to 15 in an area. I'm not kidding. The part in metropolis before you get the gauss hog there is like 15.
Halo 3's carbine was my favourite gun from a video game growing up as a kid, was ashame to see what was done to it later in the series. Would love to get a life sized 3 model

They’d likely be about purely aesthetic talking points, but the most interesting things about these videos is the way you discuss weapons and enemy types having personality and charisma is exactly what I’m here for. I appreciate the “how is it in gameplay” bits too, but like, everyone does that.
The Evolution of the Master Chief would be a good vehicle for discussing the gameplay handling of the player character in Campaign, and The Evolution of Spartans would be a good way to talk about it in Multiplayer. Just sayin’.
My favorite version is the Halo 5 variant that work as a Needle Rifle. I know some people have their issues with later iterations, but I really enjoyed the weapon variants of Halo 5 a lot.
Ahh, the Halo 3 Carbine. Recently me and my mother played through Halo 3, and I wanted to be second player to play as Arbiter. Having infinite ammo on meant that I pretty much always had this as one of my weapons, and I cannot begin to describe how satisfying it is to use. It's like ASMR: the gun.

Whats funny is in ODST you can actually make the carbine super rare ro find, just play on legendary or use the skull that upgrades enemies, most of the carbines you find are from jackals but on legendary or with the upgrade skull on they all become sniper jackals 😂
The Carbine is easily one of my favorite weapons in Halo. Absolutely love it in Halo 3, one of the best looking weapons in the franchise imo. Not super big on the Halo 4/5 designs (though I do love the color scheme of the Blood of Suban). I really hope the carbine makes some kind of return sooner than later. The stalker rifle is pretty cool but it's no carbine. Fantastic video as usual, love the graphics and animations you used!
The H5 Carbine got me through the Sunaion Warden fight. That weapon is easily what carried me through the Sanghelios levels, and goes as my go-to weapon in most campaigns considering so many levels don’t give you BR ammo for long periods of time, especially in Halo 2 when some levels feature only Covenant weaponry. Also, edit: I love the new video style. Using chapter titles (by their actual name) was a great touch, not something too many may notice, but I did. This video just oozes with charm.

The burst fire with hip fire concept seems like it was eventually adopted for the Light Rifle in Halo 4. Pretty cool to see how some of these older ideas eventually come to fruition.

I was actually surprised to hear that the Carbine was the weakest of the marksman rifles in Halo 4 (this is something I really don't pay attention to) because I felt like the hand of death with that weapon. I felt unstoppable with a Carbine in hand during large engagements on BTB even before the turbo update... which made me feel even more powerful with it.
It might just be because I’m watching this video at 3am but it really was throwing me for a loop thst there was no 6 in the countdown at 8:03 . I thought I just kept blinking at the wrong time

I would like to nominate the Ghost for the next history video. It's been changed in just about every game yet somehow feels the same, and it's fascinating.
In Halo 4 days I was a big fan of the noob combo loadout with the carbine, plasma pistol and dexterity perk. It felt like carbine was the quickest to fire after swapping weapons. I really liked that loadout since it gave me the ability to deal with vehicles effectively too and a strong close/mid range
Halo 2’s carbine sound design will forever be a favourite of mine. Interesting how the burst hipfire and single shot while scoped (if i’m understanding properly) from development was used for the light rifle in halo 4. Speaking of 4, the carbine was very satisfying for me. The sound, if not as nice, was interesting too. Sounded powerful and highlighted it as a kinetic weapon. Oh I also like how the halo 5 carbine display might imply some covenant species process colours and shades the same way we process numbers.
I’m definitely a carbine enjoyer, as someone who never learned or bothered with the BR button combos in Halo 2 online, I usually gravitated to the Carbine. It feels more accurate, it shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger, and as you mentioned less ammo waste due to no 3 shot burst. Sure I came out on top a bit less against someone using button combos with a BR face to face but I just felt more confident with it. If you got the jump on a player and could tear down their shields and headshot them before they could respond, it’s still pretty competitive. Once Halo 3 came around, I was even better with it as the BR users no longer had the button combo exploits.
Finally man!! The one gun i only ever use as my main. I love the Carbine to death and only hope the future continues with as we never got it in Infinite. Although, the Commando is a nkce representaion of it imo, i still love the Carbine. Carbine and Energy Sword are my go to loadout. Hi Late Night Gaming, I noticed that you didn’t mention the needle rifle in this evolution video. Despite it not being the carbine, I felt that this weapon was very carbine-like in Halo Reach, despite some of its gameplay and design elements having some closeness to the needler. I also think that since the needle rifle only appeared in one game (and made a sort of spiritual return as a carbine variant in halo 5), in a meta sort of way the needle rifle was Bungie’s way of giving us a look at the precursor of the covenant carbine, especially so considering that Halo Reach was kind of a prequel to Halo CE.
Really enjoyed this. Would love to see an evolution video for the Fuel Rod cannon in this style, always been interested in seeing a evolution video for that.

I think the radioactive rounds were meant to be more like the depleted uranium rounds we have for tanks and other heavy weapons.
It should've been a damage over time mechanic to differentiate it from the battle rifle.

Interesting how the burst hipfire and single shot while scoped (if i’m understanding properly) from development was used for the light rifle in halo 4.
Speaking of 4, the carbine was very satisfying for me. The sound, if not as nice, was interesting too. Sounded powerful and highlighted it as a kinetic weapon.
Oh I also like how the halo 5 carbine display might imply some covenant species process colours and shades the same way we process numbers.
Halo 2A multiplayer was so damn fun wish we got more for that game.
Does anyone remember the 208 mag BR from Halo 2 that you can randomly pick up on the the sacred icon?

I’m definitely a carbine enjoyer, as someone who never learned or bothered with the BR button combos in Halo 2 online, I usually gravitated to the Carbine. It feels more accurate, it shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger, and as you mentioned less ammo waste due to no 3 shot burst. Sure I came out on top a bit less against someone using button combos with a BR face to face but I just felt more confident with it. If you got the jump on a player and could tear down their shields and headshot them before they could respond, it’s still pretty competitive. Once Halo 3 came around, I was even better with it as the BR users no longer had the button combo exploits.

Finally man!! The one gun i only ever use as my main. I love the Carbine to death and only hope the future continues with as we never got it in Infinite. Although, the Commando is a nkce representaion of it imo, i still love the Carbine. Carbine and Energy Sword are my go to loadout. Hi Late Night Gaming, I noticed that you didn’t mention the needle rifle in this evolution video. Despite it not being the carbine, I felt that this weapon was very carbine-like in Halo Reach, despite some of its gameplay and design elements having some closeness to the needler. I also think that since the needle rifle only appeared in one game (and made a sort of spiritual return as a carbine variant in halo 5), in a meta sort of way the needle rifle was Bungie’s way of giving us a look at the precursor of the covenant carbine, especially so considering that Halo Reach was kind of a prequel to Halo CE.

Mostly because of how much I played campaign in the halo saga, I'm always happy to see the carbine, or its cousin the needle rifle.
