      In the pilot of Snk, A character said he will exterminate 80% of humanity, and it dates since 2008.
      Everything was planned but he made his conclusion badly. Moreover in the interview, he regrets the passage with Armin, but not the Eren-Mikasa relationship. (We don't have the whole interview)

    • @Odin69
      @Odin69  3 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Are you talking about the one-shot that came out in 2006, because no where in the one-shot does it say anything about killing 80% of humanity. Also nothing attack on Titan related came out in 2008, the first chapter came out 2009. I’m posting a vid tomorrow ranting on Mikasa and Erens failed romance and I literally use isayama’s own words that state he never intended for the whole eren Mikasa romance. I can’t wait for the whole interview to come out it will be very interesting

    I'd just like to say for the record - Eren Yeager was only in the manga ch 1 - 131. He got replaced by his long lost twin brother, Aaron Yogurt, that we didn't know about ch 132-139. Eren is a top tier S class character. Aaron is a fraud.

      @@gracefire9067 That's a good point you raise. Here is what I think. Since Eren always wanted freedom he couldn't see Ymir suffering like that even though she was a god. So he decided to set her free . You could even use this logic when he brokedown in front of Ramzi. He hated the fact that he was going to take the freedom from the entire world but he had to do it for his own freedom and for eldia. Ymir in return saw Eren as this free man who was willing to go to great lengths to achieve freedom for him and his people. Hence she went with Eren instead of Zeke. But in the last chapter everything was retconned .

      This twist itself was unnecessary: dina should have eaten carla just because she happened to be there as we thought pre-time skip. It wouldn't have been a plot hole either as it needed no explanation. Until post-time skip there was no mystery about it, this subplot was clear to us. But isayama decided (why?) to ruin it by adding that panel with bert first and then revealing everything at the last moment when it didn't matter anymore as it had little time to be explained and have us feel at least some kind of emotion. And now, after such a stupid twist, we have dozens of plotholes cuz eren turns out to be someone who could have:
      - solved so many issues in this story,
      - saved so many people: his family, comrades, friends etc.
      - predicted the future and actions of everyone,
      - finished everything much earlier, even before being born,
      - let dina eat bertold, led grisha to her after taking the founder away and made touch his ex-wife to start the rumbling, for instance
      - used the ability to control titans through time and space multiple times and so on
      But no, "I'm gonna use it only to kill my closest person and ruin my entire motivation, let dina avoid bertholdt even though it could help the island a lot, blame reiner for my mother's death for no reason and also ask myself what my mum would think about the rumbling while being the reason why she can't say anything now. However, I can't make my colossal titans leave hange alone in PRESENT because this story has to have more drama" Genius!

    me thinking Eren being a slave to freedom is one of the best written things of all time, only to be told that he was just a slave. And for what? To save his group of 5 friends? In the course of that leaving the entire world in destruction. Eren went from top 3 fictional characters of all time, to below D tier

    • @opie_yt
      @opie_yt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree so much like the idea of Eren being a slave to his dream of freedom is not only tragically ironic but it follows one of the core themes of the story, that being “everyone’s gotta spend their lives drunk on something.” It was Eren’s dream he was enslaved to (or “drunk on”) for the entire story and he was the one causing his own enslavement, yet all of a sudden he’s now an actual slave to Ymir and never had any free will of his own? I refuse to believe this chapter is real the real ending. It has to be a joke and the real one isn’t out yet. There are so many unanswered questions and foreshadowing that lead to nothing. It just doesn’t add up. What was the deal with Eren’s “long dream” under the tree and in chapter 1? And Ymir being in love with the king is the dumbest shit you would see in a 2 star romance anime. If she loved him why did she chose to die to the spear? What’s the deal with that giant parasite thing? It just popped out of Eren and was like “yo wussup bitches I’m here now” and then the story ends. There’s no way this is the real ending. It can’t be.

    The ending got changed between chapter 132 - 137. I am saying this due to the Floch and Historia's shard never being shown, the small synopsis about what Ymir wants that was shown at the Final Exhibition and the interviews from Hajime Isayama. Notice how he puts everything he always hated and despise in the final chapter not before. Why is he doing this? I see it more as him trying to say something to the readers. Hajime Isayama is a very smart and godly writer he knows what he is doing. Something really went down behind the scenes. I am curious what Hajime Isayama will say in interviews. I'll be showing the points of this down below.
    1. - What is Isayama-sensei’s ideal character like? Isayama: “Someone who does not lie.” From the story’s circumstances, to “lie” means the character twisted his or her original will/resolve. I find the most appealing are those who operate according to their resolve, as well as those who, as metafiction would say, rise up against the entire world. on the contrary, I feel that characters who become pawns of the storyline are unattractive. Often, the main character will give up on their original goals due to the story’s development, so those who stand opposite of him or her can become more fascinating. imgur.com/ZvguQtz and imgur.com/RXDqZYN
    2. In an interview Hajime Isayama said the show Breaking Bad is a masterpiece because it had conclusive ending yet he ends his series with an open ending, lol. imgur.com/08gFaGp

    What those last chapters showed, was that Eren died being stuck in that predestined chain. He wasn’t the catalyst behind getting rid of the Titans. It was up to Mikasa somehow (conveniently, cause of headaches??? It’s never explained in 138 or 139) knowing that his head was inside his mouth and cutting it would just get rid of ALL the Titans because that’s just how it works. Eren was turned into a big walking husk of a plot device in order to let Mikasa and Ymir complete their arcs not under his own free will.

    I never considered AoT a Masterpiece as many others, it has a lot of trobles, but nevertheles I will always appreciate it as one of the best Anime/Manga of our generation, one who broke the frontier of our community for several years and became mainstream. Having said that, let's begin the feast...
    As I was reading the manga, everything fell apart after the big revelation about the origins of the Titans. The invasion to Marley was awesome, but then all the conspiracy plots were going to nowhere, Isayama was fully improvising every chapter, fouling us about this or that secret plan that was conveniently orchestrated since the begining.
    It wasn't only the chapter 139, the downfall of AoT in my opiniion began at the start of the rumbling. Don't get me wrong, I still liked a lot of elements from that final arc, especially the fantastic development of Gabi's character, or the visually astonishing art of Isayama. But... while reading the last 20 chapters, I wasn't even angry at all, rather I was laughing so hard for all the cringe moments, like "yOu BeCaMe A mAss MuRdEr FoR uS, tHaNk YoU".
    AoT touched multiple adult themes, but I feel we get betrayed by Isayama himself by getting the "happy ending" we never wanted in the first place: nobady dies (except Hange , but, who really cares...), everybody forgive Eren for committing genocide while they are hugging and laughing to each other, and Mikasa even gets his romantic kiss with Eren's head. xD AoT became a cow-trash shonen at that point, and you all now is true....
    I would recommend it to other people? Being frank, knowing how it ended I would say no. Those last chapters changed all the meaning of the series, and all of that is pointless now. The final message was to kill everybody who thinks different from you, mutual understanding is impossible, everything is about kill or getting killed, global war is innevitable, trust no one... who cares abaout real freedom though? You will NEVER be free beacause the destiny always wins, your genalogy and family background will always suppress your individuality. Who cares about chanching the world for the better, improving the lives of four poeple for the long term? Who cares about defeating destiny and defy the impossible? It turns out, control is absolute, you are condemned to be a slave of your circumstances. So, if your personal history is already written, what's the point to even try in the first place?
    It all started with Eren trying to save his people by ending war, but noooo, now he is dead, and they are all alone, without any Titans power, hated by all the world and condemned to a global war with nations with far supperior technology and mass destruction weapons. It all started with Eren trying to avenge his mother's death, his pain was his most valuable drive to succed in his monumental quest for justice, in one way or another. Basically, he couldn't undertand nor accept that such attrocity like that could happen to such an innocent woman. But it happens to be that he was the evil mastermind all allong. Ouuuuuu, what a plot twist...
    He masacred 80% of the human population for what? More war, more hate, more fear, more innocent kills, more discrimination againts his kin, more nationalism/fascism to burn the land with gunpowder, rivers of blood and corpses. THAT IS GARBAGE!
    At the end of the day, where is the hope for the tomorrow, were is the so anticipated "You are free now". Such an epic an compelling story about discovering the world beyond your imagination, about fighting againts all ods to liberate your country from fear and slavery, about sacrificing your wellbeing untill the last day of your life for the better good of the rest... And ALL OF THAT GET DESTROYED LIKE IT WAS NOTHING. What an anticlimactic finale! It's sad to think that all of us dedicated a lot of time, money, free time engaging with this story, this characters, this world, and now we all are equally betrayed and disappointed. I really hope the best for Isayama's next proyects, but right now I don't think I will belive in him and his storys anymore. You can agree or disagree with me, that's ok, that's fine, we all have diffrent opinions and thoughts about this, and this is mine. Only the time will tell...

What would my mum think when I kill these animals. I took Freedon away from the world in order to gain my own. I was born this way . If someone steals ppl freedom I won’t hesitate To take theirs . If we kill everyone beyond these walls will we be free. When I found out humanity lived beyond the walls I was so disappointed. I will keep moving forward until I kill my enemies . Ill gladly give up my life but I refuse to sacrifice historia (bear in mind that’s all he would say after the timeskip)Tatakae .The rumbling will not stop it will crush everyone and lands beyond paridise . Eren also said in season 1 a powerful enemy will not make humanity units . Serie ruined: Turns out eren acc killed his mum because it wasn’t Bertholdt time to die alright. Now eren doesn’t really know why he did the rumbling he forgot. Eren saying to historia your the girl who saved me that day the worst girl in the world was a lie it’s acc mikisa who saved him. The unkiliable worm disappeared. Eren now gambled paridise .one of the greatest chapters in aot history when eren and zeke is in the paths and with pure willpower eren rips out of the chains and frees Ymir while she’s running because he understood her and she was waiting 2000 years for someone like him, this chapters are now jokes as mikisa the main character was acc the one who saved Ymir not eren. The final panel of a man holding his child surpassing his father saying you are free was a lie now instead we got a pigeon holding some dirty ass scarf that’s never been washed. Eren has now been reduced to a clown sister loving simps out of nowhere ,who can’t really temenber why he killed 80 percent of humanity and won’t let his stepsister mikisa move on . He has also gambled paridise future as there is now titans to protect them now further more the alliance have now admitted it thr cycle of hate won’t end until one side is completely wiped out. @@Odin69 me too man, i thought i was watching greatness unfold. ppl would tell me i was nuts to rave about an anime until i showed them the show, and by mid-first season everybody realizes that this storytelling is on another level, becuz the world-building is incredible, the thematic development is so deep, the characters are all properly fleshed-out and compelling and relatable, and most important for me was that the internal logic of the fantasy narrative world was always consistent... the plot always worked and never contradicted itself. i learned to feel like i could trust AoT, like there were never ever asspulls and everything felt important. isayama convinced me to take his story seriously and eventually i did. when eren finally matured and forgave reiner becuz he realized that they were really the same and they both had to answer to fate, at about that point i thought i was watching real life... everything was so layered, and so tight, and so profound. the action was amazing and my curiosity and tension was always eventually satisfied. and then eren manages to free the God of the Eldians Ymir, in a completely convincing way by being able to relate to the fact that she also felt trapped and enslaved... and at this point my mind is blown... most profound shit ever... Eren earns the Divine Right of Kings and becomes God Emperor of the Eldians, and in a completely organic and justified way. And then the Rumbling itself forces the reader to choose if they side with Eren or if he has gone too far, and it's difficult to deny Eren becuz everything he did was true and honest, he only became an extremist due to the virtues you admired him for throughout the entire story.. it was the world that changed, not eren. all of eren's courage, stubborness, and righteousness suddenly came into contact with actual reality after the timeskip, and would the world be ready to confront Eren Yeager? Eren never once hesitated to threw himself into war against man-eating Titans, and now he's faced with human beings who threaten him and his people with slavery and death, and the viewer is supposed to judge Eren for facing this head-on and rising to the occasion? No. Eren Yeager chooses to embrace his destiny as the Attack Titan. Eren Yeager keeps moving forward until all his enemies are destroyed, just like he promised us since the beginning and just as he convinced us he should.

      I do too considering his worth 45 million dollars and couldn't stick the landing. What I think is the story needed more panels for the end! You easily fix the chapter by having Eren say he wanted to level the world to destroy his enemies and truly be free and even if Armin/Co stopped him they can set up a path of peace. Which I believe Isayama should have kept the number of people killed by the rumbling vague, “Most of humanity” rather than “80 percent”. Additionally, Ymir did not control Eren and that she waited 2000 years because no one showed her how to be free. I think Ymir wanted a human bond rather than loving Fritz; hell she WANTED to be loved rather than loving Fritz. She was a slave and chooses to support Eren due to his actions. No one in 2000 years had his resolve. In the end, Eren’s actions marked he was free and even though he was stopped, he is satisfied with what he did and does not regret it. I think when Armin hits him should be when he says I don’t know why I did the rumbling and Armin demands an answer. I also think in regards to Mikasa, Eren could say he wished he treated her better but believes when he is dead she can finally let go of the person who did not give her what she deserved; respect and love. Armin admits he never truly understood Eren and expresses he will stop him but manages to say goodbye, which Eren reciprocates with a hug. When Armin returns, the worm is shown dying as Mikasa emerges from Eren’s falling colossal. I think there should be a moment where Reiner is shown BEFORE THIS fighting off against the worm and right before it dies, mortally wounds him during the struggle. Once it dies, none of the titanized people return, we only see smoke along with the colossal titans vanishing, leaving just Mikasa, Armin, Levi, Falco, Pieck, Annie. I think the warriors grieve over Reiner and Gabi while Mikasa and Armin grieve the loss of Eren, Jean, and Connie. Levi still has his badass line and we see the survey corps (that was easily the best part of the original). The Marleyan soldiers advance, we get the whole Trost arc ode but Armin says it was Eldians who killed the founder and the curse is broken with the Founder’s death. They lay down their arms and we get an overview of the destroyed world and Eldians truly safe. I’m fine with the idea of the Alliance having to Parley with the remaining Eldians, which would lead to Mikasa at Eren’s grave. She is mourning but smiles, saying thank you Eren for wrapping me in this scarf and giving me a reason to live. She sees birds over head flying by. What we see next is Eren in a slowly crumbling paths, looking into the light and he has a monologue talking about how the hallu-worm functioned and bound Ymir to the curse. As Paths falls, Eren sees Ymir in the light going through her life until she is an infant. Eren holds the child as it fades along with him and says you are free, which we see in conjunction with Grisha saying that to him too. End.

    There wasnt even one more insight into his own thought processes . There is no questioning when he can look at any direction he walks but he walks in a circle and insted of making a decision he does it JUST CAUSE . he was literally an empty head a chicken with a cut off head running in a circle but moving forward . A guy who fights AGAINST his will for freedom and a artificial ideal . To your friend in the video . It wouldnt have been bad if he would have been a softie he was constantly portrayed as physicly weaker as mikasa too and no one can tell me that you get such a bad inferiority complex that you start treat mikasa the way he did but still somehow loved her ??? he was PORTRAYEd as someone who doesnt like to be belittled by what is completely fine for a man of his age if he could and did take that step to kill so many people why coudnt he think ONCE that he should tell her considering they could have died in every single scout mission that would take place . All these people are on his kill count no one elses . But insted of finishing what he started or atleast decimate the "enemy" so much that they couldnt even dare coming over in half a millenia but left the general nature in its place so to not fuckin send the planet into a fuckin famine and nearly ruin the entire ecosystem what basicly endorses killing his people and ANY life one way or the other further down the line too . Scenes where eren talks to people after the time skip are now completely meaningless and are actually borderline psychotic on erens part . Worst of all of this is that Ymir is an actual joke the real protagonist and antagonist on top of that . she literally removed all the titan powers once she got over her stokholm syndrome with chaD fritz . IF eren would know he has to play after her rules why would he do it so stupendously like we have seen . Sure you are fine with your friends killing you because of your stupid deal with ymir but why the fuck then doing just a random kill a view here and there and leave every single fuck in your home in a totalitarian extremism group YOU MADE you stupid fuckin retared piss ant you had access to path since fuckin 3 years and you couldnt come up with FUCKIN ANYTHING ? You had the power of a all seeing god that doesnt know the concept of time either when you where with ymir but why does it matter that he reconstucts his mothers death if there actually should be multiple timelines to see and a solution to this problem where everyone can benefit in izayama you absolute fuckin dunkey because it wouldnt be a fuckin asspull right ???! A nuclear Deterent of the cost of ymirs suffering is better then literally any decision this fuck wit had done the last 2 arcs you knew your brothers plan that was clearly fuckin better then yours comparing what would have happened with ymir gettting cucked and no titans to be there to cause more harm either anymore . Armin the most altruistic character in this shit show thanking eren was the last nail in this coffin the rest of the chapter just shovels actual human waste over the coffin to make it have a finished look .

    AOT revolves around Eren’s 3 goals. His 1st goal was to eradicate all the titans which he achieved by moving forward until Mikasa could choose to kill him and grant Ymir’s freedom. His 2nd goal was to give Paradis Island a fighting chance in a world that will always be in conflict. He does this through the rumbling (which also helps in achieving the 1st goal). By destroying 80% of the world, he is able to bolster his friends as the heroes of humanity as well as give enough time to Paradis Island to build up its military. His 3rd goal was to get freedom. He wonders in the last chapter why he always had this drive towards freedom; ultimately, he doesn’t really have an answer. The Grisha panel shows that he was just born that way. He was entitled with his name and freedom since birth. That’s why even though Eren was always enslaved by the fate bestowed by Ymir, he still sought freedom and “scenery.” It’s tragic, but through his death, he was able to achieve just that. AOT ended with Eren achieving his dreams. If you don’t understand the story then that is on you

    • @Odin69
      @Odin69  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The only goal eren completed was destroying the Titans but the thing about moving forward till Mikasa kills him so that Ymir can move forward is blatant retconning of the story and erens motivation if you don’t see that you either forgot or started reading around chapter 137. If you actually think that Eren gave paradis a fighting chance you’re either lying to yourself or being intellectually dishonest. Lol eren literally explains in chapter 1 and throughout the story the desire for his freedom and him achieving that through death??? Lmfaoo he explains through out the story that he’s special for being born in this world and expresses his desire to live I mean he even says that he doesn’t want to die in this chapter but ok I guess ThAt lAsT pAnEl iS sUppOse tO rEprEseNt His FreEdOm

And you can find many examples of eren saying these things are goals in order to find his freedom but those specific chapters I listed are where those ideas are first brought up concretely and stated to the reader

    You saying removing chapter 138 wouldn’t change a thing for Mikasa’s character arc just show you don’t really care to understand her character. That “dream” is not only a goodbye on Eren’s part. It gets to show Mikasa that Eren’s death is unavoidable. Even if they were to act on their most selfish desires and escape everything and everyone, Eren only has four years to live.
    Also, if you really pay attention to chapter 138 it clearly shows Mikasa is not getting over Eren. In their “dream”, when Eren tells her that once he is dead she must forget about him, her answer is: “I can’t” and puts the scarf back on. That just shows that no, she won’t let go of her love, but she still chose to kill Eren for the good of humanity. And that’s why her choice had an impact on Ymir. Despite her undying love, she makes the CHOICE (hence, she’s free) to kill him. At the end Mikasa is not a parallel to Ymir but a foil to her.
    I don’t know why the fact that she still mourns him three years later is controversial. We see her at his grave on the third anniversary of his death. I’d say it’s pretty normal that she’s there. Besides, three years is nothing when you lose a loved one, and considering she was the one to kill him makes it all the more tragic. I don’t think she’s ever going to forget him, but she WILL carry on with her life.

    • @Odin69
      @Odin69  3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Again the point of 138 was to show that she was finally free of the love that bound her to eren by committing a sacrifice of her love by killing him. Her saying that she can’t forget him and then the 3 year time skip where we see her still miserable about his death while still wearing that scarf just makes her character worse if anything, I’d expect to see something this depressing in a show like 13 reasons why or riverdale lol. her character literally revolves around eren and only eren. In my latest video I also break down their phony “romance” which makes saying her at the end of 139 even worse. Yes she’s a direct parallel to Ymir both are bound by love and yes she would’ve been a foil to Ymir if she wasn’t depressed and miserable at the end of 138 but since she is and she’s still bound to her love of him she’s just like Ymir since she also couldn’t let go of her love of king fritz. Lastly why did you like your own comment lol

      I agree. It’s ok not to like the ending, but there are a lot of things some people call plot holes that can be answered with the information given by the manga. Not everything has to be spelled out. I just feel like a lot of people was reading the manga with a really distorted perspective.

    I'm just going to leave this here.
    I'm satisfied with the way Isayama ended Attack on Titan. The things that we needed and all the things Isayama has been building up all cultivated into this singular moment.
    Such as Ymir. What was her purpose ? What did she really want ? Simple. To break free of her love for King Fritz. And of course, people took this as Isayama saying that being in a Stockholm Syndrome relationship is real love, and it really isn't that at all. In fact, in the very panel we got Eren saying this, does it look like it's supposed to be the conventional idea of love ? Of course not. The fact that Ymir chose Eren and made him go through all of this should probably show you Ymir's love for King Fritz isn't one that he is trying to paint as romantic. You cannot say Isayama didn't tell us what her whole deal was. Now, is it satisfying ? That's the subjective part. But it does make sense.
    Next up; the way Eren acted in this chapter making all of his decisions worthless. Now then. Isayama has again, laid it on very, very thick as to how the AOT universe works and specifically its attitude to time and the concept of fate. Meaning that things were going to happen one way and always will. This means the claim that Eren intentionally lead Dina to eat his mother. No. He is doing what the laws of the universe demand. I think the main frustrations that come from fans with Eren is because they feel like he did all of this for nothing. On the contrary, Eren doing this has been the point of his character since Day 1. He is essentially the only one cursed to know the laws of the universe and is constantly telling himself he is free in a world where freedom doesn't exist. Eren being Ymir's pawn isn't a case of character assassination, because Eren's actions were never his own in the first place. He has always been destined to become the devil of this world. That's what so beautifully tragic about his character here. It's essentially him coming to terms with this and realising he might be able to change things, but he can make sure the people he loves are better off than him.
    Another part is people are calling him a simp for Mikasa and that's all he ever was. Because of course they are. But here's the thing, Eren Jaeger is a 19 year old teen. People always projected this idea onto Eren that he was so cool and he was gonna be the coolest guy who wasn't afraid of anything. But it simply isn't Eren. He isn't this unfeeling, cold God that everyone thought he was. Yes, he puts on a good game face, I'll give you that. But it's been clear since Day 1 that Eren would never kill his friends or anything of the sort. Literally everything he has done has been for their sake and it makes his character even easier to understand than he was before. And people are saying he's a terrible MC because he dared have a breakdown of the thought of leaving everyone he has ever loved and not wanting to die ? He isn't a fucking robot. He is barely in his 20s, for fuck sake. Of course he's going to freak out.
    So Eren is like a character in a videogame that has become aware of his existence. He knows what his purpose is and he knows he can't fight it. But he is going to make sure that he leaves the world better for his loved ones. That isn't character assassination. That's ALWAYS been Eren Jaeger.
    Now for the state of Parardis and how apparently The Rumbling failing makes Paradis a bigger target. Here's the thing, that was addressed. But literally 80% of the global population are flattened viscera pancakes and forests and ecosystems are now salads. Who is going to attack Paradis and with what ? There is nothing that can touch Paradis for generations to come. And even with this, the island had rallied in Eren's name and are fully prepared to protect it. Like, we seen the beginnings of Paradis and what is going to happen to it and it's literally covered in devoted soldiers with rifles. If that is so soon after the Rumbling, what are they going to have in generations ? And apparently people are mad because Isayama didn't solve hatred ? Like, you had one half of people wishing for literally everyone's death and the other side for World Peace to be achieved. Did it never occur to anyone that both of these endings are incredibly predictable and also very unrealistic ? Of course the story is going to end saying it's human nature for violence to always be there and for them to fight until the end of time. And it also leaves us with the idea of peace MIGHT happen and it might not. That is literally the best possible scenario for a story like this and it saves it from either stupid extreme. The heroes who saved the world might end up reuniting with Paradis and saving it once and for all. They could also easily be killed the moment we left them. It's up to us to decide if they manage it or not. But we will never know if they betrayed their nation for nothing and all of it was for not. That shit is incredibly bittersweet and consistent with the tone. The series's phrase is literally "the world is cruel, but also beautiful." What else could you want ?
    And finally, the final panel. I don't really know what to say here. It's to close Eren and Mikasa's bond once and for all with some harmless symbolism. Does that mean Mikasa hasn't developed? Hell no. The fact that Mikasa Ackerman was the one to kill Eren Jaeger is evidence enough that she has made major steps for her character. And no, her crying over him isn't character assassination either. It's literally the fact she knew this guy all her life and he had an impact on her. That isn't something that just leaves you when it comes to losing someone you love. But she is managing to live her life without Eren. She can do whatever she sets her mind to. And in the end, that's all what Eren wanted.
    In conclusion, you don't have it like the ending, or Attack on Titan as a whole. But. to say that it doesn't make sense or that Isayama ruined his own manga ? I'm sorry, that just isn't the case. It might not be what you wanted, but it's what makes sense.

      @@BollaBubble Eren was only lying when he said he thought that Mikasa was a slave and that he always hated her. And for beating the shit out of Armin. Everything else, Eren had to do to get to where he needed to.
      Ymir was only a child, younger than Eren when King Fritz forced himself on her. It's not a case of being dumb, it's a case of the mind protecting itself and seeing the only type of affection she ever got had to be real, and therefore was something worth staying for, even though a small part of her wanted to be free of it. It's actual human psychology and a thing that happens, barring the stuff for the story.
      Mikasa is obsessed with Eren ? She spent 13 years of her life with him and has been through a lot with him too. That type of attachment doesn't just go away. If your dad died, would you throw away all of your photos of him even 3 years later and forget about him totally ? Of course you wouldn't. Mikasa mourning Eren and remembering him isn't the same as being obsessed.
      And actually, if you remember right, the Attack Titan's power was it can see the memories of future holders, meaning Grisha could see Eren's, but Eren is the last holder of the Attack Titan, meaning he doesn't have any to see. Even with this, Eren answered all of Armin's questions well and why he did what he did. If you're referring to when he said he doesn't know why he did the Rumbling, he was meaning he doesn't know why he was born the way he was, for such a strong desire for freedom, as evidenced with the imagery of his birth as he said this. Eren knows WHY he did the Rumbling, he explained why he did in the same chapter.

      @@dubhbubonem6561 Wow, this ending really is a master class of how to write a perfect story that makes sense.
      Can't think of a clear character motivation to justify their goals? Just make them "crazy"/ irrational so their motives can be inconsistent with their actions.
      Need the plot to move along despite character growth/ motivations getting in the way? Just make the character a plot device, doing things because "fate" demands them to.
      Can't think of logical cause and effect to conclude a story? Just say that the ending was "inevitable" and basically every plot hole is resolved since everything was fated to be anyway. Your fans will do mental gymnastics to fill in the gaps anyway.
      Given your standard for the ending making sense, Isayama could have ended the story shipping Eren and Armin romantically and it would still be great. It could "technically" make sense since Eren hasn't explicitly stated he's straight (so he could also be bi), Armin clearly is a very important person to him (Eren shown as much affection for Armin as he does Mikasa) and most importantly it would be an unpredictable twist that can be justified with "real world logic".

      @Devin The Dude People always overestimate Eren's abilties and it saddens me.
      Also, Isayama didn't at all make him a tragic hero. All he did was give the reason as to why he was doing what he was doing.
