    It is vitally important that our children know they can tell us anything and everything. If something feels off to them to always share. With no fear. That we will believe them and love them unconditionally. And protect them always.

    The story about the pedo cabin owner is an example of why it’s so incredibly important to teach kids to speak up when someone makes them uncomfortable. Kids need to be taught that there’s nothing wrong with telling on people who make them feel weird or scared and that adults shouldn’t try to keep secrets with them.

    My scariest camping trip was also one of the best trips. Scary because my dad heard critters outside the tent, sat up without warning and yelled at the top of his lungs at them. I had just drifted off and it scared the bajeezus out of me. Next day we found out a chipmunk had had a grand ol time digging out the middle of our loaf of bread.

    Camping is always terrifying. Thin canvas walls. Dark isolated woods. Wild unseen creatures lurking in the night. Perhaps even a roving psychopath or two creeping through the shadows looking for victims. I fail to see the appeal of camping. The stories I hear on channels like this are morbidly fun to listen to, but I will be doing so in the relative safety of my room. With my war surplus bayonette easily in reach.

    The shadow figure from the 4th story sounds like it is a ghost belonging to one of "The Owners" previous victims. "The Owner" threatened to kill her brother's if she told anyone, especially her father about their midnight rendezvous. I assumed his threat was a bluff to begin with because it's a common scare tactic of child predators but I don't think preventing S/A (even if it was of a child) is something a low ranking demon would do.

    Listening to creature stories i can't help but think some maybe a person in a costume seeing as with cosplay and taxadumy you can do some crazy stuff and i could see myself doing that if i wasn't afraid of someone pulling out a gun and shooting me. Or just something desesed. I'm not a complete skeptic but maybe it's easier for me to believe some are not supernatural because that's somehow better.

    • @jessicabuechler7031
      @jessicabuechler7031 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for ur perspective.... I actually never thought of that. ( I would be scared of being shot at too.) And if your in the middle of nowhere how long do you wait for people to camp while your hiding dressed in a scary costume???'🤔🤔🤔
      Here's another idea I had- I've listened to a few stories where they take place on Indian reservations and the creatures are half man half horse. Could they be a very well- made Indian costumes that they use for rituals? I do not know? 🤷🤷🤷
      I've been listening to these stories for a while now and I like to hear other explanations of what they could be. These stories baffle me!!!! I do believe anything is possible! I believe many could be valid. I believe the ones with multiple people seeing the same things. Alternatively, I believe some peoples imaginations could've gone wild under certain circumstances -EX at night everything sounds and looks spookier in the woods). I believe the stories that came from park rangers, police, FBI, other workers on job sites who were "not allowed to talk about their experiences" could definitely be real.
      Real, not real, proof, no proof, doesn't matter to me because they're super enjoyable to listen to! ✨🌛🏕️🧟‍♂️

    The person's mom who almost met the man on the bridge... I can't express how awesome it is that her dad believed her right away, especially in those times. That probably saved her life, too.
    Someone please explain the creature the next person saw eating the deer... I've never heard any story like that before. As a nonbeliever, I say they made it up unless it's from a movie. But paranormally, it's so weird that it sounds like it's something from another dimension that landed here by accident.

    • @Khornedevotee
      @Khornedevotee ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it's safe to say that most of these stories are JUST stories, not real events. But I do want to believe, and I do love them for what they are - entertainment first, real life encounter documentations second, if even at all even sometimes. But hey, I am openminded. While I am partially skeptical and not at all gullible, I am open to the possibility of some of these creatures being real.
      I mean, I believe in ghosts myself and the general paranormal world and phenomena, even angels and even God. If I am right in believing in them in case they happen to be real(which is my faith and belief that they do indeed exist, since I am a Christian. Protestant specifically), then why can't things like werewolves, wendigos, bigfoot, ghosts, demons(both physical and spiritual), gnomes, fairies, dwarves and even real magic and whathaveyou, exist as well?
      Like I get that most of these stories are just that, stories, because it's mainly an entertainment channel rather than a real case documentation and private investigation channel, but that doesn't mean that all of them are fake, even though most of them are in all likelihood fake and aren't meant to be taken literally as if though they actually happened but are meant to set in a mood and give some goosebumps.
      It's fun to imagine that they are real though and some of them might indeed be real. But it's hard to trust them to be anything other than people sending in fun stories as opposed to events that actually happened to them.

    • @Khornedevotee
      @Khornedevotee ปีที่แล้ว

      It gets even more complicated. The characters/people in most of these stories are most likely also entirely fictional(or maybe not most of them to be fair because I can't prove that, but in many of them at least), made up by the author, and even when they are ''protected'' by different identities, that doesn't mean that those people actually exist. It's often just to make the story seem more real and more believable.
      The characters in the stories could be based on friends and family members of the author, but aren't actually those people. I can't prove that of course. But it's plausible that some authors make that decision to make people up in their stories, even versions of themselves, rather than including their real selves and their actual friends and family members and make up stories about them.
      Now, that doesn't mean that all authors write stories like that. Other authors will include their real selves in the stories, even their real actual friends and family members, though often under different names and conveniently, the last names are never included, nor even the actual place where it happens, which is ofc for privacy and safety, so as not to be harassed or ridiculed, but it also immediately makes the story suspicious as to its authenticity and believability.
      Often the places where these stories supposedly takes place are either hidden for convenience(either because they didn't actually happen in that area, which is convenient, because then they don't have to explain where it took place and will claim that it's to remain anonymous or they don't feel comfortable about sharing the area or whatever), or the place named is inaccurate(perhaps because it never took place there but the location is still included, or because it did happen in the area where the author thought it happened but maybe only heard about it or misremembered where his or her events took place or where this person heard it took place) or it is revealed and it either never happened, or it did happen and the location named where the event took place really did happen.
      I'm not dismissing any possibilities but I'm also not claiming most of these are actually happening because think about how many Darkness Prevails stories there that are similar to the ones in this video. A bit too similar, as if people are copying each other's stories because they think those flavors really work and are really fun to make stories of.
      And think about What Lurks Beneath, how many of his video titles are like this ''Avoid this and that place.'' If so many places really were haunted heavily and scared so many away from those places, then people couldn't live anywhere because everything is haunted.
      I'd like to hear actual park rangers from Yellowstone come out in actual interviews to verify the alleged claims that so many of them don't dare to work there. If no park rangers actually are reporting that they are too afraid to work there because of the paranormal or strange otherworldly creatures, then it's just hearsay and make belief as to attempt to make these stories seem more believable and legitimate than they would've been otherwise without any actual proof to back those claims up rather than relying on the authors or these storytellers like What Lurks Beneath or Darkness Prevails just claiming that there are numerous park rangers coming out with this.
      Now, it still remains in the air if the events that take place in these stories actually happenened or if they are just entirely fictional only meant to be shared as entertainment because it is popular. Like I said, I am openminded, but I also am wary of being led to believe in stories that are just meant for entertainment and never actually happened even though so many titles claim to include ''REAL Encounters.''
      If they didn't happen, then that's just click bait.

      And this is why people such as myself and others don’t come forward with our own experiences with the paranormal and supernatural these creatures are very real and very terrifying sadly and I wish I could take them all back…when you really think about it legends are rooted in some kind of truth. I’d love to tell of my experiences because it does weigh heavy on one’s conscience and shoulders and it’s somewhat cathartic but with all the ridicule and skepticism it makes it hard you know? And that’s why I always carry a firearm with me everywhere I go and try not to go out after dark or alone if I can help it. Like that one person said, “sometimes the unknown is truly terrifying.”

    When camping it’s best to bring good friends along and of course someone who neither of you really know well like a coworker or something. Make sure they wear red and that they are only there for that trip. Then if anything happens you and your friend will be okay while the monster goes for the red shirt.

    Australia is truly a wierd and beautiful continent. You can venture into the outback or desert regions,vast ,flat, empty and earily silent !! Very surreal and not hard to imagine what could call these remote regions home!! Cheers from C Bernath Sydney.

    I am from the South Island of New Zealand and used to go camping never really saw anything strange other then one morning I came out of my tent and found a bar of soap that I had left right out side the tent it had huge claw marks right around it, I guess something went to eat it but soon stopped maybe because of the smell or taste. The person on here who camped in NZ it could have been a fereal dog that killed that rabbit.

    First story... what. I'm a New Zealander. That rabbit was probably just killed by a stray cat or a stoat, maybe even a dog. (There are native birds that could have done it too, moreporks or harrier hawks, not likely though as they would have eaten it). Not only that, I've been told by a couple of park rangers that stoats are known to kill without eating the carcass. Also, a friend of mine used to have a cat that would drop rabbits, birds, rats and so on at his doorstep without eating them. Happens all over the world, actually. Not unique to NZ. Okay it was preceded by a nightmare. I doubt there is a connection, I don't get why the narrator made such a big deal out of it. Kind of annoyed by that story. Plenty of natural explanations, no taniwha lurking around their tent that night.

    Darkness Prevails I have a story for you that happened to me 2 years ago.
    My mom died on March 22nd of 2021. A day or so after she died I was so sad that I went outside to cry away from my dad so he wouldn't worry about me. While I was outside I heard my mom's voice coming from behind our house and it surprised, scared, made me happy and made me sad all at once. I almost went running to the voice if I hadn't noticed that mom's voice sound slightly distorted. But what happened a year prior to my mom's death was what makes me think it was a wendigo as exactly a year before mom died in a warm March night I had been sitting in a lawn chair and had fallen asleep. I woke up when I felt a shadow and rotting flesh smell came over me so I opened my eyes and saw a massive deer looking down at me. It backed up when it saw my eyes open and backed up more when I made to stand. I didn't once turn my back to it but had slowly started backing towards the house and when I got to the porch is when I had to turn my back to it and I bolted up the stairs and I heard a roar that made me mess myself and when I got to the door as I opened it and got in I looked back and it had gotten up on hind legs and the front hooves had turned into claws and it had made it to the porch but had stopped as I'd got into the house and just turned away and left. But from then on every month or so I'd see that... that thing and when mom died is when it really started taking pleasure in tormenting me. I'm surprised it hasn't come after me again the way it had tried to get me that first time. I don't know. I've started calling it Reaper every time I see it I find a dead animal in the yard and have to take the animals outside the yard and bury them. Thankfully it leaves my dog alone. I think Reaper is scared of Butterball. Butterball is not big big but he is mean to everyone that is not familiar to him.

    The new zealand story the first one. Did you ever think it could be? Maybe? Someone in that local area. That's trying to scare campers and tourists. And did that, and coincidentally, your dream coincided with the whole people trying to scare people with dead animals thing, just a thought.
