The Secret Shack story is the longest ever telling of middle schoolers encountering both their first thesaurus and first homeless person on the same day. Its extremely common for homeless people to build structures in parks and to defend their (often ill gotten) space with violence.
Thesaurus: the most eloquent of all dinosaurs.

Darkness you are my favorite narrator. So that being said you are the only one I listen too. Sometimes I listen to Swamp dweller but you are my go to and favorite. I listen to you when I am ready to unwind for the day. It seems to be the only time my teen boys want to talk to me. Then I tell them to leave me alone that its time for mommy time 😊

About half way through the vid I was getting really invested and my friggen alarm went off and gave me a heart attack 😭

For these stories that are true it surprises me the amount of people who decided to walk in the woods at night. I live in New Zealand and we don't have any wild animals that can really harm us let alone strange and unusual creatures but I still won't go walking in the woods at night and I love walking in the woods, forests and nature, during the day but night time, no thank you.
I'm in Tasmania and we don't have heaps that can harm us out there - nothing big anyway, just spiders, snakes, scorpions, ants... but we have strange and unusual creatures left, right and centre 😂you're likely to at least see a wallaby, if not an echidna or platypus

The wendigo that attacked me was very odd. Like the wendigo could shake off bullets like pebbles but had its flesh torn off by a 135lbs dog?
To my understanding, those creatures are thought to be spirits. Guns generally are meant to be used against physical things, however in folklore from around Europe and I think a few other places, dogs (esp. black dogs) are supposed to be able to to protect their owners/family/home from dangerous spirits. It’s connected to why black dogs were sometimes used as church grims.
