I liked it back when you make spooky jokes about how someone got eaten or a quick narration of us getting lost in the woods or how the monsters are lurking just outside your vision. Having to explain how these stories are only to entertain takes the chills out of it. What makes a scary story scary is the possibility that it could be real and could happen to us. Take that away and it's just a story.

It is fake. Trust me when I say that military equipment can't easily be heard or be listened to through other mediums which the military doesn't provide.

@@JamesChessman yeah I took it as a story, reminded me of my own trying to sound realistic first person horror stories. A few times when details dropped but then picked up in earnest happens sometimes when you set it down walk away and start writing again, a little too much dialogue detail, and might have forgotten about their radio equipment idea near the end and that someone who would have to be this military unit shouldn't be surprised to find them as they would have to be the people who ran off from the cabin they heard walking towards them as well as whomever messed with their radio equipment. Also never going back to it after it wasn't working again.
"This world is a strange one" you gotta keep the intros, they're just as chilling as the outros.

Just what i needed to take this nap! Thanks darkness! I never miss a video. Ive gotten to the point where i cant sleep without your stories playing!
In regard to intro length: I honestly like the variety of lengths. Usually I prefer shorter intros, or no intro at all, but a few of your longer ones have been pretty cool. One in particular that stands out is the one about scary stories in the mist, or something, and you tell a brief tale about going on a run and encountering creepy people wearing raincoats. I really liked that one.

I think that when you say that the writers claim that they are true, it makes it sound like you are legally required to say it. I do like the “This world is a strange one,” though.

Darkness keep the intro, it helps to set the mood and long or short it's always good, keep up the good work it helps me drift off at night and then I listen again the next day to make sure I don't miss a thing.

It is thanks to your channel/podcast that I got to know the names of several creatures I have had the misfortune to encounter here in Sweden. It does not matter that many people say Skinwalkers and Wendigos does not exist here, Sweden is not only home to raffles and trolls. Here lives far more beings than some people want to believe. My family used to go camping when I was a kid. We stopped suddenly after one summer incident.
My brother was usually the first to get up and leave the tent. One time he called out to my groggy parents asking about a moving branch. We went out to find him poking a copperhead snake with a stick. Copperheads are venomous and very dangerous to children. We didn't go camping in the woods after that.
I absolutely DESPISE the ads that pop up right in the middle of a story!!

I've done as much as I can afford when it comes to animation. What I've done people have really enjoyed, I just can't afford to do much more. Animation (even slide show illustrations) are super pricey.
@@DarknessPrevails Oh I didn't know Mort/Wansee/Llama arts charges narrators to animate their stories I thought as long as they have the narrators permission to use the voice they do the animation for free upload it on their channel and allow the narrator to use the animation on their own channel too I wouldn't want you to go out of the way and animate the stories yourself as you said that's just too costly and time consuming for one person to handle by themselves I just thought since your stories are so good and how amazing of a channel yours is they'd be willing to animate and share the stories with you so you both benefit from it and all the viewers get something more since your narration is so amazing an animation of the stories would just be the icing on the cake be a lot more immersive audibly and visually nonetheless your stories really are amazing my brova been listening to them for a very long time now (:

Hello from Pcola! Im close to Walton. Ive been checking out Britton Hill. Beautiful area. But i think ill stick to the camp grounds. We used to have strange howls and mutilated animals around Blackwater about the same time. Also, saw a UFO twice around that time. A huge flaming ball of plasma hovering about the bay by Navarre Beach. During WW2 they called them FooFighters. All kinds of UFOs around '86-'87. Most i ever did back then is run around in pitch black forts and batteries where Upside down Pentagrams were painted on the walls, but the music scene was metal, so.. .. common kid scribbles. A friend leaped onto the large beam table in the center of the battery, reaching into am overhang and grabbed black and red candles. We were stoned so the fact an aquantaince knew where the hidden candles were didnt phase me until later. My boyfriend disappeared for hours, then came out claiming a monster, slimy and cold but alive, caused him to run wildly in the blackness, knocking himself out. We spent the next few hours getting stiches at the Naval Hospital. Lol. Crazy.
