Nice work! I have a 2017 3500 that needs this done.
heat the cam gear ujp and pull it
Oh man you go all out! I don't lift the cab or take the rad out. Just pull the cam out far enough that its almost touching the rad. saves you a couple hours
😮 no way Im definitely going to try that out!
You made this look so easy it’s almost infuriating! I’m over here slaving away taking like 20hrs to do what you did in 6 lol
If you can do that in 6 hours I need to hire you! The shop is quoting 19 hours for that job.
I was quoted 21 hours to do this in the Okanagan B.C. where are you located
I’m about to do my first one on a 2018 3500. Started on the diesel team last month.
The lighting in your bay is great. I feel like I'm working in a closet.
Yeah it makes all the difference!
Was the case cracked or was the gasket leaking? What would cause something like that?
The paper gasket cracks on the passenger side, could be from incorrect torque.
Do you have a part number for the new gasket?
I really need this done. Are you interested in doing it? I will pay you top $$. I need someone that's a pro. I have an immaculate 4th gen with this issue. I just plain don't have confidence in a shop near me.
Psst... I did mine without pulling the bumper... just jacked up the engine with mounts on.. gives you enough room to pull cam.. Nice video though!
How long did this job take? Was this covered under warranty?
Unfortunately it was, I spent around 14 hrs and got 10!
@@TDRAuto Too bad man! The shop is def in it 4 money
Do you have to pull the head for this repair? Or just pull the valve train?
Valve train heads can stay on just pull the push rods up
how did you hold the lifters???
With Mopar special tool - wooden sticks.
@@TDRAuto thanks for the info where i can buy those tools thanks again
