There were accusations of sexual misconduct in the case of Thomas and Kavanaugh. McConnell has bastardized the Supreme Court so that there is questionable representation of the majority of the people. McConnell should resign, but he never will. He, not any President, Constitution, or Congress can hold a candle to his power. Lord Acton's quote about absolute power corrupting absolutely is relevant here, Pandit is anathema to democracy. He, not Trump,packed the court. He chose Thomas because he was a conservative black man to replace Thurgood Marshall, a liberal black Justice. Likewise, he chose Amy Coney Barrett, a very conservative white woman to replace the liberal giant Ruth Bader Ginsburg because she was a white woman. The optics were the same, the politics grossly different. Optics ran the South, McConnell is from the South. The South has not grown up, as the Supreme Court alleged, and Fox still pretends to be a news channel, despite their being an entertainment channel because no sane person would believe their assertions. They have the largest social media following, so there must be a huge amount of insane negativity in the country thanks to the Republican party.

If Thomas does not recuse himself going forward then he is effectively setting precedent such that no justice is under any obligation to the US code for recusing themselves. It’s no longer the law. It’s just meaningless words. Obey the law or don’t. It doesn’t matter.

Goldman and McCaskill are correct. But I'm for an impeachment inquiry like Glenn Kirschner holds, and the basis is 28 US Code sec. 455. The rule of law must out, no matter a President, a Senator, a Representative, or a Supreme court Justice.

It's not even that he didn't recuse himself. Well, it *is* that, but it's the fact that he refused to acknowledge that he should have. Instead he's like "Nope. There's no conflict, LALALA! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" If he had any scruples, the mere suggestion of conflict from the public should've been enough for him recuse anyway. He didn't. He needs to be removed.
