      I asked my, now former spouse, why he was sobbing, huge tears, the ugly face and everything, when the 1st space shuttle went up. "Did you send something up there?" The sobbing got worse and our phone was tapped. You could hear them "click" in. I would say, "hold on, i need to let the dog out." They would click off. Senator Whitehouse of Rhode Island recently sponsored a Bill to require the scotus to have a written code of ethics and required protocol for specific issues. The SCOTUS is the only court in the entire united states that doesn't have an official code of ethics. Pretty amazing when you think about the impact for the highest court not to have a code of ethics.
    Currently, there's nothing stopping Justices from hearing a case against a company that they and/or their spouse owns. There's no requirement for them to recuse and no procedure or protocol if they don't. There's not even a way to make a complaint about a justice or court proceedings. You can write a complaint but there's literally no one nor place to send it. Even if a member of Congress wanted to file a complaint, they can't.

    • @katiedarcy1265
      @katiedarcy1265 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn’t really work how we think it would though…
      If the justices “turn over” too much, the laws we count on would constantly be in question. Take Roe v Wade for example, if the court had not experienced turn-over from death - Roe would’ve never been “re-heard” and it would still be in place.
      The same happens in the House and Senate. Even though there are no fixed term limits, there is a requirement to “re-win” your seat every few years. Natural turn-over from elections is why we seem to keep treading over the same ground in Congress every few years.
      It doesn’t work, that’s for certain; but not sure exactly what we do about that 🤷‍♀️
      I am ALL FOR age limits though. That definitely would help and it would work. We have a minimum age already, we now just need a maximum age.

The supreme court has no oversight - they are not bound to any ethical standards - we know this because Clarence Thomas has already ruled on a case that his wife was involved in - an outrageous conflict that did not bother him in the least. So what Lawrence is reporting about here is a glaring flaw in our system - which is why I believe he started with the constitution . States do it, and we've already had two recent presidents and their AG as co-conspirators: Nixon/Dean and Trump/Barr. The POTUS being the only person who can nominate both SCOTUS justices and their AG could change the foundation of our govt. Imagine if Trump had issued an executive order calling for permanent martial law after the election, I can see the 2020 scotus ruling it constitutional.

    Well, Sir, I hope you can elaborate on this a whole lot more in the really soon future. I have a suspicious mind set on this whole situation with both of them. And really feel there is WAY MORE, to know. And I would like to see the light thrown on the secretive ways that are being dealt to us, the public!

    Very helpful information. Thank you sooo much. I live in Alaska and can confirm there is a ton of snow this year😂. Regardless of Virginia’s proclamation the perception of unethical behavior is as bad as the real thing. She’s as involved in obstructing the transfer of the Presidency as much as others and her text to her boyfriend Mark Meadows proves it. Hope she’s indicted along with the other crooks. The Supreme Court has a long way to go to get my support. Thomas should have been removed long ago. There needs to be formal ethical guidelines that are in required of the Court. And if violated, immediate sanctions or removal needs to be adhered to consistently. Disgusted by the whole mess.

      What if all the truth about this deep corruption comes out and she actually is indicted? Will she appeal all the way to the Supreme Court? Can you imagine? How does our country fix this impossible situation? The corruption is all pervasive.

    Well done, Lawrence. Again. American history has always been taught through rose-colored glasses. So much left out; so much sugar-coating of bitter realities. This has contributed greatly to the many public woes we're currently facing. Thanks for taking a stab (again) at the long-overdue and much-needed public education. It may be too little too late but we have to start somewhere if we're to have even a small chance at saving the republic.

      I am a white person and I agree we were taught history in school from the White perspective I always thought it was crazy how white people were made out as the good guys for committing genocide against an entire race of people the native Americans the ones who survived were forced onto reservations and children were indoctrinated into white propaganda

    We know in any other court in America, this would not be tolerated, prosecution would follow.
    The lack of ethics and integrity shown by Judge Thomas and his wife is a stain on SCOTUS and undermines everything that it stands for.
