Thor... Your playing is fantastic. I adore your articulation and phrasing. It made me forget that I'm listening to an amp comparison. This video has been my background music for the past 1.5h.
Your playing is top notch. Your tone is so good. And your production is A+ I’m jealous in a healthy way. I love your videos and I’m so glad you continue to grow on this platform. You’re outstanding.
The Blue is such a great speaker for the 5e3! Love running mine in a similar way as a clean platform and kicking it a little with a boost or Fuzz. I have a Carl’s Custom modified with a great Master volume and Push/Pull voicing switch, which enables me to play at a low volume without completely neutering the Tone. Amazing performance when I can open things up!
Always so happy to see a Thor video! Love hearing your gear review/comparisons ... your playing just feeds my soul... it’s perfection... I aspire to sound like you someday, (I hope....) and I’m not just “being nice” when I say that... I’m being sincere.... best wishes Thor .. Keep on bluesin’ my friend...
I always get a smile on my face when I see you have left a comment. Thanks so much for your kind and encouraging words. You already have a great tone and sound good and confident on your guitar. Your last video is a proof of that. All the best.
Greetings... new to the channel and excited to have stumbled upon you.... it's already been said here, but I'll say it again .... I got lost in the playing and just listening and enjoying and forgot I was listening to amp and speaker comparisons hahaha,... as a custom builder I have tried many speakers with the 5e3 circuit over the years... I really like both the Celestion Gold and the Blue with the circuit ... however, the Weber 12A125A makes my 5e3 my deserted island amp! It adds a bit more sparkle and chime to the tones than the Blue... the Weber is also an Alnico magnet speaker... I play my 5e3 circuit in stereo with my personal built Deluxe Reverb ... not much compares with them together haha.... thank you for the great content and playing ... I'll be here for more!! Many blessings to you :-)
Hi, thanks for your kind word. It's really encouraging for me to get such good feedback. It's interesting to hear your experience with the Weber, and also how the 5e3 seems to shine when paired with your Deluxe Reverb. So many speaker brand and combinations to try. No wonder we guitarists get lost in GAS and end up in the rabbit hole of possibilities 😄 All the best, Thor.
It all sounds wonderfull to me ! For me its how am amp fells under my fingers and just listening to a demo only tells my a little and i play kinda loud ha ha old plxi marshalls btw mad professor pedals are often over looked in the pedal market of many choices glad you discovered these little jewels golden cello os my fave cheers !
I'm a heathen, never liked the Deluxe circuit. Interactive volume and tone controls is just stupid. 4 inputs is stupid. Pentode push-pull output stage without negative feedback is stupid. It's the reason people say the Deluxe "farts out", so they reduce the coupling cap values, when really it's the high output impedance that's the problem. Great playing, and I love that ES-335.
Killer performance! I enjoyed listening! Greetings from Elly ❤🔥🎸

Wow, what a cool comment. Thanks, for your kind word. I really hope you are OK and not suffering from an earworm after listening for that long 😄

@@paroblynn Thank you Robert, it means a lot. You have a cool channel on this platform yourself😀

I’m a diehard Fender guy when comes to amps, but that Grand Tweed is KILLER 👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽👍🏽
The Celestion Blue was the most articulate speaker. The Grand Tweed was very warm🙏

And yes the Grand does keep up.
Your guitar playing is so smooth.

If the 5E3 was so great, why did Fender change it only a few years later with the 6G3?

i love how you use an amp as an amp stand, i"ll have to try that. ha ha ha.
The Tonespeak new orleans is more open than the CRex: I wonder if how it would compare to the blue
First time I hear of them, but looks to be very interesting. Couldn't find any demo of the New Orleans though. Do you know of any?
A Gibson guitar into an Fender amp is like pb&j 😊
