That is amazing. Seriously. Can't believe your comment is not flooded by fender lovers. For me he nailed it in 50s. But a simple Mexican strat standard from back in the day with some decent pickups I'm in heaven. No need for the "Innovation" but I do like the history of fender far more than Gibson. They seem to use far far far more CNC and automation at Gibson now while charging 1k more or so. It's insanity.

@@timpierceguitaryou’re welcome. Honestly bud, after playing guitar on stage and building/modifying amplifiers for 20 years at this point, the biggest lesson I’ve learned is it’s about the time you put in learning to master the instrument. No expensive guitar magically sounds better than a cheap guitar in the hands of an inexperienced player. Only mastering the instrument allows you to appreciate the benefits of playing a more expensive instrument, which are mostly the ease of use.
You are one of my very favorite players alive. You’ve studied them all, you can recreate the greats, but you truly speak with your own voice on the instrument. Kudos brother.

Onboard parametric EQ makes SO MUCH SENSE! I guess it's like every other great idea. It makes sense immediately and you slap your forehead wondering why you didn't think of it sooner. It's also one extra free spot on your pedalboard because you won't need an EQ pedal...well...i guess that's only true after you put an onboard parametric circuit into all your guitars, so that free spot on the board is a ways off. Really cool though. Loving it Tim!

It's rare that people talk about normal and reverse headstocks. I've been playing Les Pauls and Telecaster for ages. And there is a huge difference in bending, as Tim says when the distance between the tuners and the saddle increases, especially noticeable on the B and high E strings.
But personally, that's exactly what I prefer. To compensate for the difference, I play 10 gauge strings on the longer fender scale length and 09 gauge strings on the shorter Gibson scale.
