  • Getting a picture inside or on top of another pictures and giving it an effect which makes them both blend together. A quick tutorial on how you can blend two different images into one picture. Some of you may know this effect / method as picture in picture. Works for pretty much all versions of adobe Photoshop, cs4, cs5, cs6 and cc.

    Finally got Photoshop CS6 today and yours is a superb intro for a beginner. So glad I found you today and not in 6 months time! Very clear and concise. A great 5 minute tutorial and not someone who needs 20 minutes to get to the same result. I'll definitely be watching more.

    simply the best tutorial. I have seen several elaborating this same skill but this just erased my confusion. Like the part you explain why and everything seems connected. not just step by step. Thank for for uploading this

    After following so many tutorials and not getting the desired effect (using just the gradient tool) getting stressed and taking a break, and coming back again. I finally have the effect I needed by using the eraser tool to get rid of the image edges
    Thanks! You’ve earned another subscriber!

    I am a complete novice and after many hours of watching TH-cam videos, finally a presenter who speaks clearly and slowly. Your example was basic and instruction easy to follow. Your text instructions also very helpful, as I have never used key functions before.
    I have not searched yet, however I want to simply know how to cut images from photos and place onto other photos. And also include some text. I do hope you have a video that will demonstrate this to me as I am having trouble following other presenters. This will be the majority of what I will use Photoshop for. I then want to save my Photoshop photos as JPEGS and post to Facebook.
    Thank you so very much for your excellent beginners tutorial!!

      @VerticDesigns  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad the video helped and thanks for the kind words. This is the reason I make these videos, to simply explain everything about Photoshop. For the request on cutting imagines and placing them in another photo is a tutorial I've already done but it's mainly focused on deleting the background. I will be uploading a video soon with resizing images, replacing them etc.

    • @MendItAussie
      @MendItAussie 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're most welcome. I have undertaken my second attempt of getting an image, resizing it and placing it into an image that I cropped - all thanks to you!! However, I am still not sure what I am doing as I tentatively click around the screen hoping for a miracle - in other words its all a bit trial and error for me at the moment. However I LOVE Photoshop and can see such wonderful possibilities. I look forward to your next video. And thanks again!

    How do you make the edges of your object being erased, in this case the lion smooth and gradually fade into the background image and not abruptly?

    • @VerticDesigns
      @VerticDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use a mask layer. That way you can always bring back anything that you want. To create a mask go to the circle inside the box icon at the bottom of the layers panel and use the brush tool on the mask. Black means Subtract and White is Add and by using a large brush with 0% hardness you can make the image fade from solid to nothing really smoothly

  • @mlvndzn
    @mlvndzn 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If u want a to change the brush tool to another size, hold alt and press and hold rightmouse at the same time and drag to the right to bring the scale up and to the left to bring the scale down :D

    When resizing an image.. Instead of converting to smart object why not just use the transform tool and hold SHIFT while you resize? Doesn't hat do the same job?

    • @VerticDesigns
      @VerticDesigns  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can just simple to that by all means, only reason I started doing it this way is because smart objects are better optimized for rescaling that's pretty much it. But both ways is fine ahah

    • @VerticDesigns
      @VerticDesigns  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean animating the text where it moves to a certain path you create? haha sorry I'm a bit confused on what you mean by "type text on a path"

    • @turyboy4082
      @turyboy4082 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      you create a circle, make it onto a path and you are able to write around it. Example: (you can also use the pen tool) create a swirly line, select the text tool, hover really close the the path and you will see the text tool change icons. Click it and you will be able to type and the words will go along the swirly line.
