Thank you for putting together such a good video on this and the actual brake replacement! Just completed my rear brake rotor replacement on my 2016 MKX without any problems!
Thanks! Worked perfectly to reset needless icon flashing & audio beeping about parking park, that did not need any service. Saved me numerous hours taking my MKX to the mechanic & I can only guess how much the bill would have been. 🙏🏼
No need to bleed the brake lines since we didn’t do anything related to leaking or loosing fluid that would allow air in lines how ever do ur brake flush regularly
@@RBTheMechanic Maybe this specific car I was working on just wasn't having it. Alldata and Michelle Pro Demand both state what you showed. I ended up using the scan tool and commanded maintenance mode. I could not get it to go into maint mode on its own.

This is really nice. My VW required a service computer hooked up to the obd2 port and send a command to do this.
Oh ok yeah VW need computer to do
Is this just for the rear and not the front?
Only for the rear
You are amazing thank you 💐

You stated to push the parking brake button. Push to disengage? It looked like you were pulling it.
No
@@RBTheMechanic You reply like my nephew. So? You stated to push. Did you pull it engage it or push it to disengage it?

No u have to turn and compress those
Ok thanks!
Thank you so much brotato chip
Any time!
I'm assuming you'd take the car out of maintenance mode to bleed the lines, correct?
No need to bleed the brake lines since we didn’t do anything related to leaking or loosing fluid that would allow air in lines how ever do ur brake flush regularly
Do you have to have they key in the car to do this?
Yeah once ur done setting the mode no here’s the brake job video th-cam.com/video/i3AgepqEz10/w-d-xo.html
