    Oh man!! This video is one of those " Duh" moments (of course use elastic and not glue!). It takes a quilter who thinks outside the box to come up with this idea. Love it!!!!🧵 ✂

    I have an abundance of 3/8 “ elastic in my sewing supplies and not a design board in sight…that’s about to change 😮

    I imagine this would also work with the heavy duty corrugated cardboard used in shipping boxes (such as the dozens we get from amazon every month), so that would save buying at least one of the required resources... Thanks for this video!

    Thank you soooo much for this tutorial. I am just coming back to quilting after 20+ years. So much has changed, I have been looking at all these TH-cam channels, but luckily I stumbled on yours. I have come to realize yours is the best one for me. I subscribed immediately, And I keep discovering more and more practical advise. I also have arthritis in my fingers, hands, and wrists. You are a gem. And will make this endeavor much more enjoyable. Keep up the good work. God bless.

  • @DH-qz2so
    @DH-qz2so 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    So Timely! I actually made one of these last night, without seeing this video... was inspired by the Bitty Boards by Lori Holt... I used FoamBoard from D.Tree, cut 15x15 inches, covered in same size white flannel... then cut binding 2.5" and bound and SEWED the binding on to cover edges, the same as you would a quilt! You can sew right through FoamBoard no problem,....as it is essentially paper... just make sure you mark this needle as a craft needle, so you don't use it again, to sew your quilt project... so stinkin cute! I like your as well!

    If we are making quilts we have the skills to make these better.
    Sew that fabric like you would binding, connect at a diagonal.
    Then make a tube for the elastic to go in so the whole thing looks finished and not crappy.

    Thank you so very.much for this video. I tried the glue gun method and burned my fingers. It got messy too. Yuck!
    This is a much better method and can be washed since it is not permanent. Such a great idea!
