      I am sure you will be able to do the full service yourself no issues, just take your time and double check if not sure and it’ll be all good 🤘🏽

    My air filter was a pig to replace . I had to squash it slightly as it seemed to long even though it was the right one but i did get it in after getting angry 😅. But thanx for the video as i was concerned about priming the filter with a pump but i think that is the metal cannister type like u said . Anyway thankyou 👍

      I know the feeling! 😂 as at the beginning I thought mine was too big too…
      Even better if it’s the metal canister filter.
      Thanks for the comment man! I am glad it did help!

      Ford Enlarged the Filter due to the Original Design not sealing completely, You aren't the First person to have trouble with this !

    Always do the oil filter first before draining the oil, the dirty oil in your oil filter has now gone into your sump

    • @ElLocoRodil
      @ElLocoRodil  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I usually do, I should have left the sump bolt off while getting the oil filter out.

    Do you mean to stick the oilfilter in the hole first and then screw on the housing again?

    • @ElLocoRodil
      @ElLocoRodil  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, exactly that, so you can locate it exactly where it needs to be.

    I have changed oil two times before on my car and think I always have put the filter in the lid before. But did that yesterday and the oil pressure light came up when idle. Im going to remove it again today and do it the other way.

    • @ElLocoRodil
      @ElLocoRodil  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the plastic tip with the O ring is not located properly it will bring the light on. I am used to putting the oil filter on the plastic lid and then install it on the housing, most cars are like that.

      @Sir_Simon 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ElLocoRodil Did it the other way now but it was harder to get the lid right. But the light went off.

      @@Sir_Simon yes, it is a bit mote tedious to push it on, but it did get rid of my light too.

    How many kilometeres for change oil again?
    And air, diesel and oil filters? At same time?
    Castrol 5w30 A5 is a good oil?

    • @ElLocoRodil
      @ElLocoRodil  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@JoseFerreira-zo6cl engine oil Ford recommends for this car every 12.5k miles, the air every 25k -30k miles and diesel every 10k - 25k miles ( you will have to do the conversion )
      Yes, that is a great oil to use!

    They've changed the fuel filter to my 63 plate focus.
    Not sure if it's easier, as it still needs priming.

    • @ElLocoRodil
      @ElLocoRodil  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think there are two different versions of diesel filters, one version is the one I replaced and the other one is a metal canister. I am assuming your Focus is diesel right?

  • @jovmilos
    @jovmilos 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You did not change the cabin filter - the hardest one to reach

    • @ElLocoRodil
      @ElLocoRodil  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are right, it was on back other, therefore I couldn’t change it haha but yeah, it is tedious to change

    Why...Why is the diesel blue?

    • @ElLocoRodil
      @ElLocoRodil  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The diesel sold for road purposes has a blue-greenish colour, the diesel used for off road which is non taxed is tinted red.

    • @Shadowknightneo
      @Shadowknightneo 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ElLocoRodil oh, Today I learned....I always assumed it was like Oil coloured so like yellow/green

    • @ElLocoRodil
      @ElLocoRodil  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Shadowknightneo in theory the road legal diesel is high in sulphur which is yellow and mixed with all the chemicals of the diesel ends being blue/green. The off road non road legal is tinted red so if you ever get stopped and police ever checks your fuel ( this would be the case with off road vehicles and farm vehicles ) when police might be more strict and want to check what diesel you’re running, if it reds it would be quick and easy to realise it is not road legal 😂 I mean the likelihood of the police stopping to check it ain’t that high but you know, that’s the idea as far as I understood
