I feel bad for the guy, milesplit put a lot of pressure on him and really didn’t know how he felt or how the race was actually going to go. With all that aside 4:06 as a junior is crazy and he’s going to have an awesome season

He ran 4:01 last year when he was a sophomore

@@taylorcaldwell8277 wouldn't be shocked, if you look at his channel, Reinhardt seems to have a good work ethic. Kids like that tend to push it too hard in my experience.
@@heightdevil tbh he doesn’t seem to have as good a work ethic you’d see from a 4:01 miler. I think it’s funny tho because it shows that he’s just a kid having fun. Eating chicken nuggets before his run
@@matthiasngo2190 yeah when it comes to diet he's got some stuff to work on, but from what I've seen, it seems like he can really hone his form on the workouts themselves.
All good rheinhardt, he will get there he definitely has it in him. I think people are more mad that the stream wasn't even working tho

The pacer had a disastrous 3rd 200 and that was the end of it. Perhaps the wind gusted at that time? However a 4:06 on a windy day and effectively a time trial? Not bad at all.
wind was pretty bad every 200 on that first stretch he did everything he could do

If i saw correctly, the race started at the main finish line.. making it 1,600 meters, not an exact mile(1609.34m)

@@darbyfrickey470 Well, he still is the greatest. No cheater flys, inferior tracks, no real nutrition or training guidelines, able to beat a 3 time gold medalist in Snell, soloed a sub 4 at his state meet, ran 3:55 in high school, made an Olympic team in high school, etc

Far better production, that sub 4 close, you looked strong coming up home straight , maybe better pacing over the 3 laps to bring you under or close to 3 minutes , than adrenalin , crowd , your condition will produce a 59 sec last lap, bring you home !that was a fine effort !

@@tylerstogsdill Bro the pacing was good given the conditions. Reese is a 4:13 miler and 2:00 is nothing to him, the pacing was a honest effort and that's all he could do.

@@tylerstogsdill mate it had nothing to do with the pacing, the conditions were atrocious. Rheinhardt can go 3:58 any day of the week in a race with perfect conditions

If he is a junior with another year of eligibility it is only a matter of time before he joins the club.
The announcer should have mentioned that the first split included the extra ten meters that is needed on a metric track when running the mile. 60 for 410m is a good opening lap.

This pacer sucked, he was definitely ready to go sub 4. Of course, this is considering the wind conditions as well, though he definitely shouldn't have been taken out anything slower than 1:59 no matter the conditions. Even if Harrison hadn't been with him and he was just chasing the pacer it would've been better.
I really think they should've had someone faster for the pacing job. Reese Vannerson only runs a 4:14 right now which yes is very fast, but he is not quite near the level to be comfortably pacing for a 4 flat mile. I think they would've been better off with a sub 4:10 guy, but they were probably just working with what they got.

Aside from the pacer, and the windy conditions, I fully expected 3 things from Rheinhardt: (1) that he would've put on a stronger serge after the pacer dropped off, (2) that R. would've put on another serge shortly after the bell, and (3) that R. would put on his kick w/ the crowd cheering him on in the last 40 meters.
R. looked very strong and fluid throughout the race. This seemed more like one of his training runs. A great time, young R. You will achieve your sub 4 this season. Absolutely, sir!
