  • In 2022, Rheinhardt Harrison was set on the mission of breaking the four-minute mile barrier.
Early on, during the second indoor race of his career at the Tyson Invitational, he ran a career best time of 4:01.15, which was the eighth-fastest indoor time in high school history and a new Florida state record. His dream was officially getting closer.
And yet, Harrison was also more than just a runner. Between nearly 10,000 subscribers on TH-cam and just under 12,000 followers on Instagram, the Ponte Vedra Nease (FL) High School senior cultivated a national audience and built connections through social media.
This film follows Harrison as he finished out his final year in a Nease High School uniform. (Update: Harrison broke four in June, clocking a time of 3:59.33 at Golden South. He became the first Florida athlete in history to break four and was the 16th prep in history to accomplish the feat.

If you are not an endurance athlete you will never understand the spirituality of "going long and steady" each Sunday on the roads.

Add a light rain to the run….. ahhh yes ! Some of my best distance runs came in the rain…….

@@mikes7654 Loved pushing my racing wheelchair in the rain. It is harder than running in the rain but if you prepare correctly it is not impossible. Thank you for your input and for reminding me of the happiness of pushing/running in the rain.

You are more than your fast times. Because of the integrity of your character and how you regard your peers, you effectively transcend to an Ambassador of the sport. You make me proud to be a runner! Thank you, onward and upward!

I train on that track where he ran the 4:02 mile in 2020 and it was so surreal seeing it in the video

Being a runner, something that is very relatable is that whatever the time, you never feel satisfied

That’s what I’m saying bro already broke 4 I saw this video on milesplit months ago

The video description states that when he ran 4:01 that became the 8th fastest time in high school history. AND that when he ran 3:59 he became the 16th high schooler to break the four minute barrier.
There obviously is either a math issue involved here or a communication issue.

It might be wrong, buts it’s most likely because a lot of fast times had been ran since then like Collin sahlmans times and the young brothers and other dudes.
