In the first indoor race of his career, Nease (FL) High School senior Rheinhardt Harrison ran the second-fastest 1K performance in high school history at the 2022 VA Showcase. The Oregon signee ran 2:22.77, becoming just the second high school athlete all-time to go under 2:23.

@@carterpizano If that was a race in, I would have set the record. Not saying I could beat this stud when I was in high school. BTW I PR'd in college with 3:43 1500M. So that's a bit faster than he is currently, although no doubt he will likely run faster than I did.
