I had the blessing of been born in ‘62 with The Beatles and a couple of teen-aged uncles, into a musical family..so I lived the ‘60’s, the ‘70’s, the ‘80’s and even the early ‘90’s as a young person whose life, like it was for all of us, revolved around a plethora of incredible talent and genres. I don’t think you’d find a person from my age group who won’t tell you we know we were blessed and very lucky. Rumours was the first album I ever bought, saved up for it from my summer holiday babysitting jobs ( it was summer in Australia when it was released, Christmas/summer holiday time)

It was all music all the time and they would have PREMIER VIDEOS that everyone would stay home to watch on a friday night. It was ALL MUSIC ALL THE TIME, but then it was accused of being racist because they didn't want to play the rap and the hip hop so they caved and it went from great music to rap crap. It was the demise of MTV and music in general. All of us that grew up in the 80's know the truth. It was the GOLDEN AGE! Feel sorry for the kids now days because the music sucks! I had the blessing of been born in ‘62 with The Beatles and a couple of teen-aged uncles, into a musical family..so I lived the ‘60’s, the ‘70’s, the ‘80’s and even the early ‘90’s as a young person whose life, like it was for all of us, revolved around a plethora of incredible talent and genres. I don’t think you’d find a person from my age group who won’t tell you we know we were blessed and very lucky. Rumours was the first album I ever bought, saved up for it from my summer holiday babysitting jobs ( it was summer in Australia when it was released, Christmas/summer holiday time)

We all the people that were too young to remember the early days of MTV it was magical. It was all music all the time and they would have PREMIER VIDEOS that everyone would stay home to watch on a friday night. It was ALL MUSIC ALL THE TIME, but then it was accused of being racist because they didn't want to play the rap and the hip hop so they caved and it went from great music to rap crap. It was the demise of MTV and music in general. All of us that grew up in the 80's know the truth. It was the GOLDEN AGE! Feel sorry for the kids now days because the music sucks! At least you can listen to our music when it was music. 60's 70's 80's some 90's so much great music.
