Watching this in 2019 makes me appreciate how far we've come.

+Salpeteroxid Yep, if you prefer a 2019 you don't have to work on it or the manufactures support scan tool and the diagnostic flow chart when one of your 22 modules has a failure, fails to report on the class 2 serial network, or if engine and trans, does not respond to High Speed Serial Data on the CAN bus. All of this while driving your loaner car or rental. I you didn't build it, it's not yours...If you don't know how to fix it, then your not a modern service tech. If you don't know directions and the GPS on the dash is't working, your lost. Of course you can call someone on your $800 Cell Phone to pick you up after crashing into the guy in front of you because you where talking on the cell phone while driving! Even Porsche did not have cup holders or air conditioning during the 90's while a radio was optional. Nope, people want there lazy boy chair to drive 70 MPH over the speed limit to get home 6 minutes quicker than the next guy.
I too appreciate how far we have come in 2019 with vehicles, but the don't cost $50k without a reason. It is a fuel driven computer on four wheels with room for the owner, a few friends, some of your stuff, but I still don't need 12 cup holders and 14 air bags when I get hit by one of thousands of people on the phone while accidentally driving.

The gas cap in the bed is kinda cool but seems like a pain to remove the filler cap.
Never understood why Stacey sold this and Crazy Horse. We never got to learn what happened to the harry hauler. Would be nice for him to build a tribute to Big Blaze on his new show. Would have been more practical to keep the c-10 and bronco then SGT. Rock. While SGT. Rock is cool, just not practical.

Yah - sure.....BRAND NEW 67 Chevy, sporting all the trim and tricks, rolling on high-end rubber and wheels...in a color never sprayed on that or any other truck.... VERY nice looking truck - great video....but SLEEPER? Not quite. :-) GOOD WORK! Love the videos!

Thats funny talking about automatic transmissions in trucks they are like the standard now most truckers don't know how to drive the manual anymore lol
I think the big question isn't how it runs, its how much will it set you back.
Excluding the engine, paint, and custom leather, I guestimate $15k. With those, if you didnt get quite as fancy with custom paintwork, and got decent leather seats and engine from a yard, altogether $20k.

I love this color I want my truck to be black copper bottom with black and copper piping for sheets buckets And my wheels are going to be center Chrome around the edge of it is going to be copper I have the ZR to package wheels on my truck need to paint can afford it struck cost me a small fortune

+Martin Neps David Stacy worked with Ron Payton at PPG paints using an OEM Ford color code, then lightening it up with silver metallic (Or what ever). Call your local PPG auto paint shop and ask. It won't be the first phone call on this paint color. ASE Master Tech 1978 / Retired

@@martinneps9387 I will take enough to have 2 gallons mixed to spray. Using SPI epoxy primer with 7 day working time that has superior bite and waterproof. 80 grit metal, filler first or over epoxy. Also, reduced, can be sprayed as sealer. Going white on top and some day, hair too.

How about the old 5 speed main box and 4 speed brownlite, that's 20 forward , and 4 reverse , when I was a kid I drove a Pete with 4x4 transmissions 16speed forward 4 reverse ran the power take off on the brownlite, lift the bed 1st gear to 4 th gear in main box
The road trucks Hodges trucking and cranes, had the 15 speed main box with a 2 speed brownlite behind, the PTO for the winches was on the brownlite, winches was fast in hi gear in main box and nutural in brownlite
Still a 20 minute commercial, and magically the glass and wiring appear because no sponcer
