LAST SEASON OF HoC PLEASE!!!!!
Saw Se7en alone at the cinema one bitterly cold January evening back in ‘95 (my friend bailed on me). The ending blew me away and not having anyone to discuss it with afterwards just amplified the effect. It’s still my favourite cinema experience of all time.
Damn somehow I oddly understand what you’ve been through. I was born in 96 and I saw this movie about five years ago for the first time I could tell we would’ve been good friends.
I had plans to go to an October fest after I saw the movie. I was so freaked I forgot about the Octoberfest, when home, turned on all the lights. Never been so unnerved by a movie since.
Im sorry that was difficult for you, snowflake. Ive always kinda liked that movie.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX!!!!!
Awesome. Children of Men was that film for me.
Se7en, Usual Suspects, and L.A. Confidential are all in my top movies of all time. So damn good. They don’t make em like that anymore unfortunately.
Usual Suspects is the GOAT. It's also indisputable IMO that the 90s is the best era of movies ever. They were still doing practical effects and were still experimenting and not just making what would make the most money. So many crazy good movies.
The fact that shawshank and the usual suspects didn't win best picture alone says it all
yes they do 🙄 and they’ve made even better movies since
I saw Usual Suspects in 2018 noticed something playing-out at the end. I shouted SCARY MOVIE 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Watch some films from the 70s. That was a golden age.
American beauty was his greatest role.
One of my favorites
"John Doe has the upper hand"
He is such an unbelievable actor. Man, looking back, they're all landmark roles. All left a deep impression on me. What talent.
Edit: Seeing Brad Pitt from the Se7en/Fight Club era...unfair amounts of attractiveness.
His acting skill is legit.
One of the best ever
Also he's a pedo that tried meeting with a teenage boy. He wasn't acting for that.
Makes sense, he's had to act like a human being his whole life instead of what he really is
@@WeCareAlot4693 what is he really?
He's not acting. He's a psychopath
Lol, goddamn the Jack Lemmon impersonation is spot on!
Spacey is great at impersonations. Very funny guy
Yeah
Yeah is the exact voice of old Lemmon
Kevin Spacey is one of our greatest American actors of our times! To be a young actor trying to make it on Broadway & in Hollywood throughout the years & be in the closet must have been a nightmare for him.I couldn’t care less about what he does or did in his personal life…House of Cards was awesome & a shame it was stopped, I hope he can rebound from all of the bullshit & get back to bringing us more Oscar worthy performances!🙏🏻 truly love the Spaceman…!!!
Great to see him back. Phenomenal actor.
Enough to excuse being a pedo?
Quick reminder, the guy glad to see back, yeah he's a pedo, he got caught trying to meet up with a teenage boy, that was after they were texting each other.
@@cesar_yf2637 + he was buddies with Epstein... This guys is predator and has gotten away with it.

@@cesar_yf2637He was exonerated of all guilt.
Stop spreading malicious lies and passively supporting "cancel culture."
“For those who haven’t seen the movie, this is exactly how It ends…”
He's an incredible actor and a flawed person, but most people with that talent are.
EVERYONE on the planet is a flawed person. Some are better at hiding the flaws.
@@ABC-yt1nq Bro not everyone on the planet is a predator. Lex should not be platforming this man
@@judgejudyandexecutioner.5223 - Platforming someone found not guilty and therefore PRESUMED INNOCENT? Grow up.

Se7en is a pertty much a flawless movie from start to end.
Did lex really not ask about the creepy Christmas videos in character as frank underwood creepily making insinuations to the royal family with that damn commemorative mug?
Exactly. Sad.
Bet he said he wouldn’t talk about them
Fantastic interview! Some great stories here
Good job getting Kevin Spacey on! He was found not guilty and should be allowed to continue his wonderful career. Proud of you for taking this chance Lex.
He is 100% a pedo. He got caught at a hotel trying to meet a teenage boy.
Not guilty in one case...several other young boys came out against him with their own claims. Love his acting, but child diddlers don't get a free pass.
Thankyou for this interview.
Amazing performance. "DETECTIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!"
I wonder who was fired from Seven
Tom Hulce
@@Fluster666do we know why

Spacey is nuts but damn his performances are just next level. Perhaps this is what is required to be this good.
Great performance in a great film. He may have done bad in his personal life, but it’s not like he hasn’t been punished plenty for it.
For long he’s in seven he absolutely smashes the part.
Nah hands down Lex is gotta be the best podcaster i always wanted to see spacey on a podcast
Thanks, Lex and Kevin. Great interview!
He was great in The Usual Suspects
Both of my favorite endings in movies involved Kevin.
Se7en and The Usual Suspects, both phenomenal cliff hanger endings 👍🏻
I got to watch Se7en in the theater when it came out in 1995. it was my senior year of high school and I was blown away. I really did not get into Alien 3 until years later but Se7en definitely is one of Fincher's masterpieces along with Fight Club.
some of us never bought the bs Kevin ✌️💚
Dozens and dozens of allegations of sexual impropriety, groping young men, attempted rape, etc. But you choose to defend a man you’ve never met, and whose character and private life you know nothing about. Why is that, I’m genuinely intrigued?
Grapist Kevin Space
He literally had his victims murdered when they threatened legal action
@@robertloader9826because he likes his movies and he’s talented. A lot of great standup acts and jokes out there about how talented do you need to be to get away with being a pedo? Him and Michael Jackson and Elvis. You’ve got to be pretty talented lol

So happy to see spacy talking about his craft! He is so good.
Awesome and agreed the ending scene is the some of the best performance in cinema.... but also the score! Howard Shore ignored the temp and made something incredible for that scene.
Great actor… I love every one of his films. Number 1 being American Beauty.
The Usual Suspects is GOATED!!!! People dont understand how good that movie is. 90s is the best era of movies hands down.
Weird seeing Kevin back but i guess he really mustve been innocent which honestly pisses me off that he got cancelled to begin with. It clearly wasnt warranted
One of the best films ever. Denzel was almost cast as well.
He has so many great movies, but IMO his best was Margin Call. If you have not seen it, check it out. Spacey is at his A-game in it. The movie has a cult following.
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll watch it.
theres no way its better than Swimming With Sharks
American beauty is one of my all time favourite movies

Such a great actor.
Thank you for the interview!
Kevin Spacey is a LEGEND! An amazing actor and performer. One of the greatest. Period
KEVIN TO LEX: I really didn't have a lot of time to prepare for the role, I just kind of shaved my head and learned my lines and did what David Fincher told me.
INSIDE KEVIN'S HEAD: What do you think I did to prepare? I closed my eyes and spent 25 minutes imagining every detail of sawing off Gwenyth Paltrow's head and liking it, and then when I opened my eyes I became John Doe while Little Kevin went to hide in his Safe Place in the bottom of my stomach
yoo Outbreak was dope, Dustin Hoffman, Cuba Gooding, 90s awesomeness
Glad to have ya back Kevin!
Ok now have Tim Dillon after this
I'm sure he has a few things to say!
😂
Because he is one in real life.
He was so good in Groudhog Day.
Who is the actor that David Fincher fired and Spacey replaced?
I heard that it was Tom Hulce
The Blue Man Group
@@thekongstocks We was robbed😅
This movie traumatized me as a kid. I was about 13 when I first saw Se7en in theatres when it first came out. Me, my 2 friends and this girl I liked, who happened to be the sister of one of them, went to the theatre to get our minds off of an accident that we had the day before. My one friend was especially affected by it. When the "Gluttony" scene happened, my friends sister couldn't take it because she was still pretty traumatized from what happened the day before, which i still have never told anyone about. She went out to the lobby to collect herself, and i followed her. I calmed her down, and we ended up kissing right when her brother, aka my friend, walked out and saw us locking lips. He was a pretty wild kid so he when he confronted us kind of aggressively, some bigger bully kids thought he was acting too tough for his age and size so one of them tripped him and they all laughed. My friend Tommy got this evil grin on his face, stood up, and started beating the older kid with a metal pole that was attached to the red velvet rope from the popcorn line. I'd never seen anything like it, and I've never watched this movie the same since that day.
How did you get in a movie theater to watch an 18+ movie being 13 years old? Somebody left you in and the movie was rated for 18+
How did it end with the lady?
this was absolutely gold

Bring Spacey back!
These stories are great but I can’t help but think about the south park episode with George Clooney sniffing his own farts. I get it, it is a popular movie but this shit isn’t that magical.
ah so you shxt on others by proxy and dont even get paid for for it
Watched LA Confidential the other day and man Spacey is a great actor but has such a sinister vibe. Not surprising everything that has come out, his side eye is super sketchy.
"I think Fincher hates indulgence"
Ummm... has he seen The Killer? :)
Kev got away with a lot of alot.
Man as Kevin ages he looks more and more like a 1970s Jack Benny,,, it's getting spooky...
Never thought of it before but that's a spot-on observation.
I actually really like that movie Kpax - I know it’s not his best role or anything but yeh just loved it
Seven is a friggin masterpiece.
Swimming With Sharks

An underrated classic
I think he Spacey was excellent even in LA Confidential and Glengarry Glenn Ross…
Se7en is his favourite age
a great performance by spacey but just one of many. Seven was a brilliant film and I would put it as a close second to a classic like silence of the lambs. It's too bad spacey has been blackballed (no pun intended) by hollywood for groping some adult men probably while drunk while other A-listers in the past who are known to have committed much worse crimes were never exposed and continued to receive accolades. ⚛😀
Amazing how many people give their opinions on someone completely based on prejudices.
Or facts.

You are one of the biggest fans of Kevin Spacey.
Brilliant actor
Fincher was coming off Alien 3 which was a disaster. he was pretty much nuclear at that point (especially at FOX). no one wanted him. his career was about over before it began. but i think it was Koppleson, (who had a dislike for FOX) was intrigued by the way Sigourney Weaver stood up for Fincher and defended him in the press and maintained that he was a visionary director who needed to be taken seriously. because of that Koppleson decided to take a shot on Fincher and let him do Se7en. the rest is history.
What's in the box? 😫
Spacey personifies "the banality of evil"
Best serial killer both onscreen and off.
Lex could not look better! I hate to comment on appearance but holy moly he’s gorgeous with a little facial hair! Just beautiful 💜
He's gorgeous all the time!
John Doe was scary but nothing compared to hopper
I like this guy

Spacey is a good actor n Seven is great but it’s definitely not the greatest portrayal of a serial killer in cinema, c’mon now
I suppose Javier Bardem wasn't technically a serial killer in No Country but that to me is the best portrayal of a psychopath.
i like Anthony hopkins personally
Javier >> Spacey > Hopkins. Hopkins acted well but he wasn’t the serial killer that pulled you in with fear like those two, the guy with the lotion did that. (He’s up there too) But as a scene, just one scene, Spacy gets the nod as #1.

Ok, fine. He was a naughty, naughty boy. He used his status and power to get some sex. Shame, shame.

Thank you Lex for bringing on Spacey, it’s a shame his career was taken away over things he was ultimately proven not guilty of. He’s no saint, but who in Hollywood apart from maybe a half a dozen of them are?
Separate the art from the artist, Spacey is a generational talent and one of the best film actors alive. American Beauty I admit is a bit pretentious but it still holds up as an amazing piece of film and just really resonates and feels like a time capsule of the time it came out in 1999.
