I really want to finish The Name of the Wind and hopefully start and finish A Wise Men's Fear. And then I also want to finish the Throne of Glass series
The Poison Study series is on my TBR for this year because of all the positive things you've said about it 😊💗 I'm reading Little Fires Everywhere right now and I love it!
I would recommend listening to Neverwhere on audible. The audiobook is done by Neil Gaiman (If I remember correctly) and the way he voices all the different characters really helps immerse you in the story
The Poison Study series isn't a trilogy anymore, so make sure you don't stop after Fire Study, it gets a lot more epic in the next 3 books! There's Shadow Study, Night Study, and Dawn Study which is a continuation from the story in Fire Study. This series doesn't get nearly enough appreciation, it's fantastically done and so freaking imaginative. I'm glad you're loving it!
I just finished Little Fires Everywhere and oh my goodness! The book was amazing! At first it’s a bit confusing because there is so much going on, but you catch on real quick and it all comes together in the end! So so so good! Read it as soon as you can!
Yes! The Stormlight Archive is so good! I recently purchased book 3 but it's been so long since I read the first two that I'm debating on whether or not to reread them or just recap them online. I know that would be faster and easier but part of me wants to re-immerse myself into the world and characters, feel those feelings again
I just started reading the first book in the Snow Like Ashes trilogy and I am instantly hooked, along with the original Shatter Me trilogy and the Grisha trilogy after that.
YEEESS! The Stormlight Archive is my favorite series ever. You will absolutely love The Way of Kings. I have read all 3 and I can honestly say no series even comes close to this. I will be waiting for your review on it.
I'm glad you're enjoying the Study series! I read them f o r e v e r ago, like in middle school, and I remember liking the entire series, but I only really remember the plot of the first book and some vague things about the others. I may be picking it up again soon since you reminded me how much I loved it!
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on The Naming and the rest of that series! One of my favorite series from when I was younger that I only vaguely remember lol so I want to reread the whole series soon! I also need to read The Way of Kings but I’m the in the middle of reading both the Wheel of Time series and Robin Hobb’s Elderling series and I read Name of the Wind last year so I need to continue on with that... I think I’m reaching the limit on how many epic fantasy series I can read at one time so Brian Sanderson might have to wait a bit
Hey Reagan! Good luck on your 2018 plans! Since I am huge on classics, my goal for that genre is to read The Count of Monte Cristo, The Iliad and Odyssey, plus the small novella of The Scarlet Letter. I’d also like to be able to say I’ve read all of Jane Austen’s works, so let’s throw in Northanger Abbey and Emma. Some books I am dying to read because of film/television adaptations are Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood and, in a flashback to my childhood, A Wrinkle in Time. Like you, I loved Celeste Ng’s first novel, so I think I must add Little Fires Everywhere to the top of this stack.
I’m so pleased that your enjoying the Poison Study series! I plan to read/finish The Wise Mans Fear (I have like 130 pages left but I have to work tomorrow but I just want to stay home and finish it because AHHH SO GOOD!) and Strange the Dreamer are my top priorities for 2018! Good luck with yours - I’m sure you will smash it as always! :D
Currently reading The City of Brass. I’m only on chapter 7 and I’m enjoying it very much. I want to get to Sanderson’s middle grade and non Cosmere books this year
BLUE LILY LILY BLUE. YES. I really need to start rereading this year. I've never been a rereader, and I've recently discovered that that's what I like to do. I'm rereading my old childhood favorite that's still my favorite of all time, Percy Jackson, and I'm also actually rereading THE RAVEN CYCLE, which I'm so jazzed about! Also need to get to Harry Potter, Fangirl, and Carry On again.
Little Fires Everywhere is on my list too! And you're really making me want to go back and read the Poison Study; they're some of my favorite! Also, thank you for speaking so highly of The Queen's Thief series. I had read the first one on my own, but you got me excited to go back and finish it, and I've been loving it! I just finished The King of Attolia, and I'm planning to get to A Conspiracy of Kings soon.
The Stormlight archive is AMAZING! Even though the books are a bit long, the characters and their development are great. You simply must read the first book (2nd and 3rd are even better) :D
The Way of Kings ISN'T a trilogy. The series is called The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. And it is actually a 10 book series. Only 3 books are out yet, 7 more to go. Sanderson is a very fast writer though, so don't worry about the wait times.
I have a love hate relationship with ToG series. The first 2 are god awful and just basic. It gets better from book 3 and the side characters are interesting. The main protagonist Celaena is the worst though. I read them all however and don’t regret it.
Don't forget to pick up book 4, 5 and 6 of the study series called shadow study, night study and dawn study. Love that she continues it a few years down the track of the end of fire study.
I bought The Thief the other day at Barnes and Noble and I am super excited to read it! I've loved every book that you've recommended that I've read so far, so I've got high hopes. :)
little fires everywhere is soooo good! Its even better than her last book, I am so excited that you'll be reading it this year :D im currently reading the way of kings so i feel like we have similar tastes in books! hope you have an amazing reading year with loads of favorite books
I love Gaiman! I've read most of his novels, if not all, but I really want to try to re-read some of my favorites from him this year! Top of that list are Good Omens and Anansi Boys!
I am a planner too and I love to know what other people have lined up for the year or month it doesn't matter I love to see what everyone wants to read. For my 2018 TBR it's the Mistborn series (trilogy??? was a trilogy but no longer...so confused :) I also (thanks to you) I got The Black Prism by Brent Weeks that I am going to start this year. I want to restart The Lunar Chronicles and actually finish them this year, also I want to dive into Cassandra Claire's whole series starting with City of Bones and on from there. The Raven Boys are also on the list too...also thanks to you I just checked out The Thief and cannot wait to get into that series and last I have a few series I need to read next books One dark Throne, Obsidio, Beneath the Sugar Sky and so many more. Oh and Cruel Prince is a must as well....I wrote do the Magic Study series you've been reading but I am not sure I will get to it this year but who knows maybe I will. Happy reading!
I am hoping to get to books like Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, More Happy than Not, the Everlife Series by: Gena Showalter, the Throne of Glass series (I read the ACOTAR series and fell in love), and the Daughter of Smoke and Fire series. I am currently reading the Raven Boys series and plan on Marathoning the whole quartet. You should check out HOW TO HANG A WITCH and HAUNTING THE DEEP by: Adriana Mather I think you will love those books and I'd love to know what you think of them! Also check out MIRROR MIRROR by: Cara Delevingne, this book pulled at my heart strings and sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions with twists I never saw coming!
I bought and read The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson when i watched your video last year when you suggested it as a TBR book. Loved the book and the series. Finished re-reading The Way of Kings, now re-reading Words of Radiance, and plan to read Oathbringer next. I know you will love this series and will be asking yourself why you waited this long to read it....
Neverwhere is so SO GOOD!! It was the first Gaiman novel I read (coming to him from Sandman) and I re-read it twice now. I am most looking forward to reading a book I’ve been putting off for a while called The Nine Unknown.
Look into The Dresden Files series, if you haven't yet. It's fantastic Urban Fantasy. As for me, I want to read Neverwhere this year too. Also, Shadow and bone, Strange the Dreamer, The Final Empire, The Faceless Ones, etc. are on the top of my ever growing reading list. Let's see how much I can progress by the end of the year! Happy Reading. :)
I just finished City of Brass and it was amazing. I loved the culture and the setting and the world. As I was reading it I could picture being in Daevabad and it was wonderful. I almost wish I would've waited because I need the next one.
Great video! Love the sweater! A few books I’d love to get to this year are, The Book Thief (January TBR), Outlander (started but never finished) and The Seven Realms series.
I really need to read third book in Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness and also third book in The Queen of the Tearling trilogy, but we'll see how that goes. Currently reading Holding Up the Universe and loving everything about it!
I'm excited to hear your thoughts on these! I want to read more fantasy this year. With the exception of Harry Potter and Howl's Moving Castle, I haven't read very much fantasy.
I've been really interested in City of Brass lately so I'm excited to hear your thoughts after reading it. And I'm planning to pick up my first Brandon Sanderson book in 2018 and I can't wait! :)
i wanna read at least 2 classics this year, also i hope to read more arabic books. i am going to read the thief next month and it's all because of you raving on it, it sounds really interesting (and kinda like kaz from six of crows cause he also claims to be able of stealing anything, i don't know we'll see hahaha)
There are so many books and series that I want to read this year. I really want to start the Reckoners series by Brandon Sanderson, finish the Miss Peregrine's series, Poison Study, Girl of Fire & Thorns, Code Name Verity, The Shattered Realms series, so many I want to read
I have a lot of books I absolutely want to read this year, specially series, but my priorities are however many Rick Riordan I can read (read Percy Jackson last year, so now I'm going to the Kane Chronicles and I might be able to get to the Heroes of Olympus but besides that we shall see), the Raven Cycle, Harry Potter, The Nightrunner series (only read the 1st book yet, in 2016) and all the Shadowhunter books I haven't read yet. Right now I'm reading Six of Crows btw. Besides that I actually made a TOP 10 standalones that I want to get to this year and I made it an actual goal since I've actually been bad at reading those lately since there's so many series that I'm interested. There's others besides these 10 but if I read these 10 I'll be happy.
I read The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao in college and met the author then as well. An interesting read that I've been meaning to reread by listening to the audiobook read by Lin-Manuel Miranda. I'm currently binging the All Souls trilogy, after loving A Discovery of Witches last week! I also definitely need to read more Neil Gaiman this year, especially his fantastic audiobooks.
i have so many many books to read! I have heard little fires everywhere is good, and with the poison study books i think she has written more then three, or they may be about different characters in the same world. I want to read that series too
Aaaaugh - the M V Snyder Study series is SO good. I wish I had the whole set. I read the first 3 forever ago. I liked the way she wrote so that you could picture the character and their surroundings, but not in a way where you were like "enough about the setting already."
I read _Neverwhere_ last year and didn't care for it. The story was well written; but idk I just wasn't too into it. The world building felt like it lasted the entire book so I always felt somewhat confused. Hope you get to all these this year!

Neverwhere was the first Neil Gaiman novel I read!! I think you will really enjoy that and also Akata Witch (guess I need to pick up the sequel to that!), just based on the stuff you usually read. =)
reagan, do u take goodreads ratings into consideration when planning to read a book or do u only see what its about? i feel like a lot of times goodreads rating play a big part when im planning to read a book, like i almost never read a book that has less than 3,8 stars lol. just wondering if im the only one
Have you read Sanderson's Steelheart trilogy yet? It's my favorite series of his so far (of course, it's also the only one I've finished so far 😂). I'm planning to finally finish the Miss Peregrine's books some time this year.
At this point I can give you the synopsis of so many hyped releases over the past like 3 years although I haven't read any of them yet lol I'm living that book slump life.
I would love to see you read more literary fiction in 2018! Edited to add: I'd like to get to The Way of Kings this year too. I had planned on picking it up in 2017, but that never happened. The sheer size of it intimidates me and I always end up reading something else (i.e. something shorter).
The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is also on my list for this year! I hope I'll get through it this year cause its genre is not what I reach out for usually. I'm only starting to read again after a year-long slump, so hopefully I'll push through this 👊
Frank Herbert's Dune Children of the fleet by Orson Scott Card the gate Thief by Orson Scott Card and the last three books from the Gregor the Overlander series by Suzanne Collins but I should be done with that by the end of this month and I don't know what I'm going to read after that
Oh my gosh I stopped on Blue Lily Blue also and am hoping that finally this year I’ll finish the series. I also want to read more Brandon Sanderson but that’s gonna have to wait as the A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy and the ToG series will have to come first sighh
The Way of Kings yessssssss!!!! I’ve been waiting for Oathbringer for so long! I’m reading it now! You’re gonna love this series so much!!
I really want to finish The Name of the Wind and hopefully start and finish A Wise Men's Fear. And then I also want to finish the Throne of Glass series

Yay Way of Kings!!
You look so cozy in your sweater!💕
Not going to lie, I have the biggest lady crush on Regan.
YEEESS! The Stormlight Archive is my favorite series ever. You will absolutely love The Way of Kings. I have read all 3 and I can honestly say no series even comes close to this. I will be waiting for your review on it.

The Way of Kings ISN'T a trilogy. The series is called The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson. And it is actually a 10 book series. Only 3 books are out yet, 7 more to go. Sanderson is a very fast writer though, so don't worry about the wait times.
I read Renegades after a reading dry spell, and I loved it. I was surprised because I don’t like her Cinder series very much.
I have a love hate relationship with ToG series. The first 2 are god awful and just basic. It gets better from book 3 and the side characters are interesting. The main protagonist Celaena is the worst though.

Hold up, before I even watch this video I have to pause and tell you how much I LOVE that jumper! Dayyym girl

I really want to get to... all of my unread books on my shelves 😅
I really need to read third book in Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness and also third book in The Queen of the Tearling trilogy, but we'll see how that goes. Currently reading Holding Up the Universe and loving everything about it!
I really need to read Name of the Wind! It's at the top of my list (will probably take me all year, lol) xx
I'm excited to hear your thoughts on these! I want to read more fantasy this year. With the exception of Harry Potter and Howl's Moving Castle, I haven't read very much fantasy.

I'm half way through the final empire, but I want to finish the whole mistborn series and give other Sanderson books a go.
You will love A Brief and Wondrous Life! So good.
As soon as you finish Way of Kings you will automatically put the other two at the top of your TBR! SO GOOD!!!!
I loved the Pellinor series when I read it years ago, now I want to read it again
I read _Neverwhere_ last year and didn't care for it. The story was well written; but idk I just wasn't too into it. The world building felt like it lasted the entire book so I always felt somewhat confused.
Hope you get to all these this year!
Greetings!!! How about Monday--- Saturday read your other books and then on Sunday give yourself 3 or 4 hours and just have a Sanderson Sunday read, you know take your time and read The Stormlight Archive. Enjoy your books and have FUN!!
Your list is very good. I missed the great novel "Mauler" by Shawn Williamson.
Akata witch is more magisterium meets rick riordan (his types of novels). It's really good! I love it. I hope you enjoy it too.
I really want to read Neverwhere as well! I love the sound of all of Neil Gainman's book tbh.
Neverwhere was the first Neil Gaiman novel I read!! I think you will really enjoy that and also Akata Witch (guess I need to pick up the sequel to that!), just based on the stuff you usually read. =)
Stormlight Archive is Love. Stormlight Archive is life.
I’m halfway through book two. You won’t be disappointed!
The Spellmonger series by Terry Mancour is an amazing read. If you like Patrick Rothfuss, you will love this series.
I'm just finishing the lunar chronicles, I need to read the last two Raven Cycle novels and then the Tearling trilogy
Way of Kings is a top priority on my list too! I can't wait to read it!!!
I'm hoping to catch up with V. E. Shwab's books. I've only read The Archived duology and short story so far.
*opens videos*

*omg, it's happening!*
I’ve always been mostly fantasy but have started to love mystery. Really like Sherlock Holmes especially after watching the show and Elementary
reagan, do u take goodreads ratings into consideration when planning to read a book or do u only see what its about? i feel like a lot of times goodreads rating play a big part when im planning to read a book, like i almost never read a book that has less than 3,8 stars lol. just wondering if im the only one
Raphael Marques If i ever look at the reviews I will only read a book past 4.2 stars idk i just do 😂
I am reading the way of kings now!! It is so good!
Have you read Sanderson's Steelheart trilogy yet? It's my favorite series of his so far (of course, it's also the only one I've finished so far 😂). I'm planning to finally finish the Miss Peregrine's books some time this year.
I'm reading Oscar Wao for a class right now and I love it so far!!
At this point I can give you the synopsis of so many hyped releases over the past like 3 years although I haven't read any of them yet lol I'm living that book slump life.
I’m hoping to start the Thief soon and love it! :)
I would love to see you read more literary fiction in 2018!
Edited to add: I'd like to get to The Way of Kings this year too. I had planned on picking it up in 2017, but that never happened. The sheer size of it intimidates me and I always end up reading something else (i.e. something shorter).
I really want to read The tearling-Series, Red Rising Series and The Thieve-Series. 😊
I need to read The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.
The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is also on my list for this year! I hope I'll get through it this year cause its genre is not what I reach out for usually. I'm only starting to read again after a year-long slump, so hopefully I'll push through this 👊
Frank Herbert's Dune Children of the fleet by Orson Scott Card the gate Thief by Orson Scott Card and the last three books from the Gregor the Overlander series by Suzanne Collins but I should be done with that by the end of this month and I don't know what I'm going to read after that
I have SO MANY books that I want to read this year. But my top priority is to finally finish the Mortal Instruments series
Oh my gosh I stopped on Blue Lily Blue also and am hoping that finally this year I’ll finish the series. I also want to read more Brandon Sanderson but that’s gonna have to wait as the A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy and the ToG series will have to come first sighh
