There is another way you can make consoles join any server without having to download an app but unfortunately it does require someone to host a bot as a microsoft xbox friend. Now this does make it easier for clients to join but it is limited to whether the host actually sets up a friend connect service. The result is the client only needs to friend a specific user or the bot then they can join the server the bot is linked to without having to be on the same network. I have done this before and it worked on an smp so console players who do not have a phone can still join the server.
@@noatouw it's is free actually but the way minecraft is ran on thoses consoles multiplayer isn't free believe me I know I was disappointed when I found out I couldn't even join a friend's world even when we're on same wifi it won't let you without a nintendo switch online subscription

i think it cost money to make those servers into LAN, you can just look it up or ask the devs idk.

I don’t know why but it’s only on mobile and windows but there’s are methods to do it on Xbox as shown in the video but they are just harder to do

@@noatouw it might be a newer version, but since 1.14, you couldnt join friends on xbox (ppl were doing the same methods)
