hi mysticat! i am an artist & i thought this might help even though the video is already to complete. the background tree idea you were doing didn't work because you made the blocks for the trees *darker,* when what you need to do to make them appear further in the background is *softly layer the sky color overtop of the original blocks!* i don't know how interested you will be in this but i thought it was neat to talk about, since i can tell you're a little new to that bit :]
Everyone is talking about how fantastic the visuals are but I think your level designing is just as fantastic too! It's really clever how you use obstacles to teach the player how to play this version of Minecraft.

It usually happens when there are resource packs or mods installed. Oddly enough, the mobs aren’t affected, it’s only the blocks.
