Aside from the Volt requirement, you also need to know the Current (A). Your charger should match the voltage and current of the device. Both information are found written in each charger or devices.
It stays the same, as its the energy needed to power the adaptor, then converter inside will adjust to the selected output volts. The amp will be the one that changes from each selected volt output.

Well nothing is ever perfect even for the original manufacturer . So just keep a plus-minus 2% error . So 0.1-0.5 volt difference should be fine . A full 1V is too different . Another thing is you said 12v supply and the device requiring 11.1v . Here's my tip add one diode in series that can can handle 3-5A . The diode will reduce the voltage by 0.6-0.7v . So 12v - 0.6 = 11.4v Is the device in question a Panasonic toughbook laptop , just curious...

Hello po, yung laptop ko kasi 19v lang I was so clueless when I used the charger kaya nung ginamit ko, inabot ko hanggang 24v. After ma fully charge, ginamit ko ang laptop for about 6 hours tas 100% parin yung battery. Ano po pwedeng gawin? di na kasi normal :((

Bought 2 of these to power 2 mini class D amplifiers and so far so good. It’s just that they get warm pretty quick but not too hot
It's usual for it to be warm, because they are universal and may exceed the power requirement for a little bit.

Pa naturally drain mo muna by using it until mag off. Then adjust po yung correct voltage. Then charge po.
