This was such a great era for LEGO trains. This open freight wagon would 30$ though if you adjust for inflation, which may be a tad steep. I really hope we get more stuff like this one day. Looking forward to you opening that sealed cargo train!
Good job, buddy. The old MOT Steam Locomotives were incredibly awesome. In fact, I still have a pair of old identical catalogs from Christmas 2002 that shows these good old locomotives, as well as the ever famous Super Chief. Not sure how I got two identical catalogs, but still. Fun fact, I actually have been able to piece together via Bricklink a quartet of old MOT Steam Locomotives. Those locomotives in question would be Large Black with Tender, Small Green with Tender, Large Old Dark Grey Tank Locomotive, and Small Old Brown Tank Locomotive. Sadly, I've run out of motors, so only the Large Black with Tender Locomotive can run. However, I can confirm that my last motor went to something amazing, a in tact, (well, minus the tracks, minifigs, and station), copy of set 7740 that I got for Christmas. Said set has since been upgraded to 9V, alongside new 9V style wheels for both the Coach and Dining Car. Oh well, I gotta go, I need to finish some things and then it's off to Minecraft. Oh, and if you need some Narrow L-Gauge Locomotives then may I suggest Brickticks Engine Works over on Rebrickable. Rockatoa, Brickticks out!
@@Brickticks thank you for your comment! I’ll check out Brickticks. I’m starting to become interested in custom things. That’s awesome to hear about your train collection. I’m excited to see the MOT collection come to life. I wish I had catalogs with them in it. I bet the are very interesting. I have some old ones from 2008 work cool Star Wars sets in them but that’s about it.
In my opinion 2001/2002 was the best time for LEGO trains with the release of the my own train sets and Santa Fe sets not to mention the rerelease of the Metroliner!
Yeah, hoping the Harry Potter trains go on sale in order to add to your passenger trains is getting old. And While the Orient Express set looks great, it's not really massable.
@@leggomyjameso6082 I already run the 8 stud Disney train, so my stations are adjusted to fit that already. And as a fan of Poirot, it was great they set the Orient Express during the interwar years.

Agreed with you. Good ol' times! And you have quite a selection of these older trains. Love your humor, too. Nice construction sequence videos, too.
@@TomasSadilek thank you! I appreciate it. My collection is growing and it’s exciting

Ah! 3677 One of my favorites in my collection I bought it back in 2012 but for some reason I did not put the stickers on before 2024 😆
@@pastajensen I just built it the other day and it was fun. That’s great you still had them I feel like I would have lost them lol
2:55 hahaha
sick train man. i like looking at the old sets and how cool they are.
@@GrumpyOldBricks thank you! Me too
Lego needs to sell freight train cars and let us build our own train our way not buy 2 of the same sets which is bs
@@Redmist-se7ld agreed! I miss this era
I don’t understand why they can’t do a train theme the same way they do Speed Champions. Speed champions is crazy popular
@@Bishounen if they did I would love it and I completely agree!!! It would be very similar

@@Celtchief They will go on sale! I like the orient express but the 8 studs is a bit large and it doesn’t fin with every station or crossing
