@onkelmarvin8360, 7 times on the Indy cars podium. Your ignorance about her career is obvious. $12+ million from racing and her net worth is $80+ million, YOURS?
@@sergeantmasson3669 you are not the brightest bulb in the room are you ? having 80 million d plus networth does not mean she was successful, as a marketing tool, perhaps she was. @@iqbalsandu8182 According to who, you? FYI, personal opinions are basically invalid/worthless. Danica Patrick personally earned $12+ million from auto racing and now her net worth is $80+ million. She's not racing against the odds Because the odds are in your favor. Women have a big advantage over their male counter partners in automotive sports that no one seems to be thinking about and that is their size. Women are generally smaller than men, so they have the advantage of their car being120-130 lbs lighter than the male's car. In a sport where weight makes a difference in how much gas you use and how fast you can go 120-130 lbs can make the difference between winning and losing. If your vehicle is carrying less weight It can travel further on the same tank of gas as a vehicle built exactly the same. A lighter driver Is like having a more powerful engine and a larger gas tank. With that advantage They should win most of the races.
A better driver would of had much better results in the equipment she had. Hallie Deegan is exactly the same. Both are nice looking and well spoken young women. Good for marketing. I give them both credit for getting where they are. But they are/were mediocre drivers.

In my opinion, the best race Danica ran, at least in IndyCar was at Texas in 2010. Not only did she drive to the front, but she ran wheel to wheel with the Penske and Ganassi cars, which were dominant at that time, and ultimately finished second. She also finished fifth in points in 2009 (the top non-Penske or Ganassi driver), and had something like a three-year streak of finishing every race. Of course the NASCAR experiment didn't work out...but then the IndyCar experiment didn't work out for Jimmie Johnson years later.
@@sergeantmasson3669 Obviously a win is a win, and I wasn't discounting that race at all. But as far as racing at the front and challenging for the win on the basis of speed, that Texas race has to be right at the top. The 2005 Indy 500 would be pretty high up there, too. She made a few rookie mistakes in that one and STILL finished fourth.
