  • A brief history of the events surrounding the assassination of President William McKinley at the 1901 Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo NY, culminating in a reenactment of the historic inauguration of Theodore Roosevelt as the 26th President of the United States of America on September 14th, 1901.

    We visited this site last week, Sept. 13, 2012, (111 years, shy of one day of the Inauguration), when we were in Buffalo, NY, after visiting Niagara Falls. It is very interesting and well done and I recommend it to anyone interested in history.
    I think they should add this video to their display. It would be very interesting to view it when you're standing in the library among some of the original furnishings. V

    We are very glad you enjoyed your visit!
    We have, in fact, considered making the reenactment video a permanent part of the tour experience, but we are still experimenting with how and where of it can best be utilized.
