    I purchase my Google Chromecast at target on September 17, 2017 and i love it. Worth every penny. Buy it you won't regret it.. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Once the set up. Sit back and relax and enjoy.

    Thanks for the review. It is direct, clear and helpful. I don't understand why there are 100 plus dislikes on this video. Keep it up

    I upgraded my old Chromecast version 1 for the version 3. FYI, don't waste your money. There is no difference between the two. I found no increase in speed or performance of any kind.

    • @LarkspeedNL
      @LarkspeedNL 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Then you haven't really looked, they are miles apart in performance. I will give you one example F1 TV will not cast to a CC 1 but it casts just fine to a CC 3. CC 1 only supports N wifi and has less processing power. The CC3 on the other hand supports 5 GHz AC wifi, has better video playback capabilities and has a better wifi antenna so you get a better signal.
      For you to say there is no difference between them tells me you don't own both and are just reading things off the internet and repeating them.

    • @JohnnyUmphress
      @JohnnyUmphress 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LarkspeedNL I do own both. I have the v.1 on a bedroom set and the new v.3 on the living room set. In my application, I see absolutely no difference. I cast from both a Samsung Galaxy phone and a Samsung Chromebook. In fact, the v.3 has a lot of dropouts. In other words, casting a movie or TH-cam video will just arbitrarily drop signal. And my internet is 50 Ghz fiber all the way to my router.

    I'd use what Steve Jobs once had said: it just works! Who needs a smart TV? All you need is a screen with an HDMI port lol. It's so convenient. And by the way, try VLC player, it'll stream videos on your computer to chromecast. The only thing I kinda regret is that I didn't get a chromecast ultra so playing anything higher than 1080p can be a little cranky.
    And are you sure you're not MB's younger brother? lmao

    I'm powering my chromecast 3rd gen using a ps3 slim front usb port with the ps3 switched on. Apparently the Ps3 usb ports output 5v at 900mA. The official chromecast wall plug is 1A, but the ps3 usb port works fine, so it appears the chromecast 3rdG doesn't require 1Amp.

    • @K-Z1
      @K-Z1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is NO off/on button. However, you may unplug power cord from power source. When not in use. Otherwise, It'll always stay on in the background using data.

    I just plug the usb cable from the chromecast into the TV, then it doesn't need to use a plug on the wall or on a power bar.

    • @Goldsacs
      @Goldsacs 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the TV's USB port. I find that my 1st gen uses less power than my 2nd gen ones and can be powered from the TV, but the 2nd gens have to be in to proper power.
