    Hi a super information video, thank you. I have a question though as I’m new to the smart TV party.
    I have a Sony a80j with google tv built in. I’m about to buy an Oculus VR device and want to cast to my tv in the best res possible. Could you advise please whether the entry level chrome cast device is perfectly adequate or do I need to buy a CC device with google tv to get the best viewing experience?
    Thank you and keep filling our tubes with great content, we do appreciate it!

    Chromecast TV
    But they need to add better filtering
    I have Netflix, Disney+ & Amazon Prime and on the main screen only Netflix shows me partly watched content..
    Also I don't want to see pay-per-view content, but there is no way to filter it out..
    Lastly, power on separate devices does not work.. Samsung TV + Samsung sound bar, only the TV will turn on .. I have tried lots of settings on the Google TV and Samsung TV, but it still does not work. They should create a group option to fix this!

    I have the original Chromecast and it's a lifesaver. I originally did not have a smart tv, and got rid of cable so I used to CC. When I did get a smart tv, the smart part failed after 1 year. I had it repaired and it failed after another 2 years. So Chromecast all the way to keep my tv useable. Without it I got nothing

    If you just wanna quickly watch something I'd say a regular Chromecast. Just turn on the TV and cast from your app. If you prefer having an interface or want 4k id say the one with Google TV. And if you're interested in playing stadia or again want 4k but quickly watch something go for the ultra

      @JAKOB1977 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IPlayGames3 I tend to run them from a projector with inbuld battery.. where it just sits or a power bank, but the problem is that the Chromecast ultra gives a message that you shall use the original AC charger for the best experience, so there are clearly some handshake going on, behind the scenes between the Chromecast ultra and the power source.
      But I would be surprised if using other 5V power sources actually lowered the 4K transmission quality, like Google message tries to indicate.. but sadly no info where you can see the transmission bitrate, to measure one versus the other.
