I wish more TH-camrs would make videos like yours. Straight to the point, cut out all the BS and pointless commentary. Nice efficient video. Thank you!
Its kinda cool to have it build in, but i rather use a fastcharging adapter and just plug it into the cigarette ligher. Looks also good and i can always exchange it for a better version.
Once I'm done with my electrician course at the local community college, I'll get right on this. ( You skipped all the soldering, which would be the harder part, not the get the delicate plastic off and socket out )
I think you wasted your time soldering the connectors. Just strip the wire and insert into the connectors and solder on the top. Make it easier to desolder if needed. I got it hooked it up much quicker. But thanks for giving me the idea to do it.

Nice work, only concern is if the fuse blows one has to remove the whole console to replace it.
Nice one. Bonus points for the inline fuse :)
Now watching this video to remind myself of how I did it, since I'm replacing the charger with one that supports QC.
Hey man, how did you manage to get the front part of the trim piece out? I can't do it

Where did you buy the socket? Do you have a link the ones I am finding look like the diameter is too big. What is the diameter of the hole?
Beste, kan u mij exact vertellen welke onderdelen van car parts u heeft gebruikt?
U laat 4 gele doosjes zien.
Isnt the cigarette lighter circuit already fused ?
It's better to fuse devices separately. Usually they got their own fuses inside the plug, but that's not always the case.
This is a smart install.
Does it have fast charging feature?
The struggle is real

Why did you need a inline fuse?
The charger is rated 5 amps, but the fuse in the fuse box is rated 15. So it will need it's own 5A fuse.
Couldn't you just put a 5 amp fuse in place of the 15? Just curious...
